@@Tom-oz7wk you’ll get to a point where you wanna make your own riffs that sound dope, so music theory is a must at that point
He and Jim have been considered 2 of the greatest in metal since Iowa man, mick usually considered the more inventive with their weird sounds.

意外としっかりしてるミックが好き
ミックは練習の鬼で有名だよ。ギター講師をやってたくらいだし。テクニックのミック、ユニークのジムって言う人もいるしね。
7:45の12フレット人差し指固定から24フレット小指のストレッチはやばい。

クラシックフォームというのを抜きにしても指のストレッチがやばいし運指がとにかくスムーズ。あとブリッジミュートも素晴らしい。まさにプロ。
ずっと小指をボディに置いて速弾きしてたのですが、薬指に変えたらかなり速弾きしやすくなりました。この映像にもっと早く出会いたかった。ミック・トムソンありがとう。

メタル系ギタリストはハードな音楽性に似合わず理論や技術体系がしっかりしている人が多いですよね。
キッズだった自分も今や父親になりました。

Death metal for sure, he definitely has that technique, I don't know about black metal, except for maybe standing there menacingly

I don't think they're holding him down. There is a time and place for everything, and Mick is smart enough to know that
Holding him down by having him perform his music infront of thousands of people every night. Yep....... 😒.
Mick should be in a Death Metal band, he's perfect for that
@@patrickolivier1 I think they meant in the sense that he isn't able to show off all of his musical abilities in Slipknot, which I would actually agree with. He definitely holds back in the band
@@samuelvela2708 i don't agree with you , some guitar riff / solos , slipknot songs can gt pretty technical especially when you got to play these live ... just my opinion , obviously this is not jason becker / polyphia difficulty lvl but still hard.

Fast picking - anchor ⚓ ing a finger is not only used for limited right hand movements but also pick depth .
Similar to a record needle height adjustment. The needle only needs enough downward pressure just to touch the record slightly.
The anchored finger is this limiting downward pressure across all strings.

Maybe you all won't believe me..,, i tell you the truth for what I've seen as a witness bout this community.. Almost all head bangers in Geneva, Switzerland they don't smoke not even ciggarettes, can you believe it..?!? It's really amazing guys i mean it's okay just drink beers in the pub cause even Christians do the same thing bcoz beers are really common to them just like drink water.. And the most funtastic thing they jokes alot and full of happiness when they gathering together in the pub eventhough they are all wearing in black dress..🙏
