ADMIRALSCORNER This might sound a bit strange, but after steam died out my Dad started Ship spotting,,, Living in Wakefield at the time we went to Goole and Hull regular, and we had trips all over Liverpool trips on the Manchester ship canal,, even up to Newcasle seeing thing like the Middlesborough transporter bridge,, paddle steamers in Seaham harbor The Queens in Southhampton ,,, and we 4 years annual holiday by the Bristol channel, at Walton in Gordano so we could do Bristol Avonmouth Cadiff Barry etc,, I think one year we came down to south Somerset but I can't quite remember where, it was marine museum I think,, But one year we was on your camp site in our little wooden chalet when Dad spotted with his binoculars coming up by Flat holm and Steep Holm something strange pulled by Tugs, It was the S.S Great Britain on a barge been brought back from the Falklands so we saw her come up the channel , then we jumped in the car and went up to the Avonmouth gorge to see her come up the river to Bristol,,, It would be nice to get back and see her now she is restored,,,

That is a good place to stay. At one time the lady from one B&B called Camelot used to be a fellow member of a local walking group I belonged to.

We did try this once before but got blocked by other traffic at the last minute!
You were lucky you managed to get to the gate before any other vehicles....it certainly is a good angle to film from...very good....Steve.
