Hi Russ. I was busy yesterday writing a newsletter, repotting about 150 pepper seedlings, and setting up a raised bed for potatoes. Spring is here in Alabama. The next five days have temps in the mid 60s to the mid 70s, so I'll be taking my ebike out on multiple cruises in the country. For my next trip, I'm going to ride to town of Weogufka, pop 258. It is about an 18 mile round trip.
One of the things that can cause people to look sideways at e-bikes is the way that they are ridden. It is easy to achieve a relatively high rate of speed blowing past people on a crowded trail, probably irritates them. I believe we need to be cognizant of the speed differential and minimize it. On shared use paths I don’t blow past walkers at 20 miles an hour. We the E bike in community need to blend in rather than be a disruptive force. If we become viewed as a nuisance rules and regulations will follow paths will be closed to us, etc. if we’re going to share the paths with runners, walkers and traditional bicyclist. We need to be careful how we ride around them.
+100 - People don't notice the 100 people that ride right and aren't causing themselves to notice. Only takes 1 idiot to sway peoples perceptions of bikers in general. It's happening. It WILL result in regulations restricting their use. Happening all over the country as I type this. Idiots f*** up everything. Best bit of advise for multi use trails: be another invisible biker. Lowest power setting (or off) and no faster than the unpowered bikes are going. Speed is determined by the amount of traffic on the trail. Kids and dogs demand slow speeds.
I use my ebike for commuting back and forth to work. Using a regular bike would be too much for my knees, and I have a physical job as well. Would just be too much physically. Not anything lazy about making it a little easy on yourself if you have physical limitations. I've been yelled at a few times being on the sidewalk, which is done by people who don't know the laws... nothing they can do about it. I also had a car come out in front of me from a parking lot over the sidewalk, right into my path at the last second, no time to react. I ended up breaking my ankle, and having surgery. The cop involved issued me a ticket as well. Everyone was trying to set it up as my fault for being on the sidewalk with an electric bike which I knew was perfectly legal. The driver never took fault for it even when their insurance had to pay out. I ended up having the ticket dropped against me, and suing the people who owned the car. I received a settlement for all the trouble from missing work... etc. My point is that even non ebike owners need to educate themselves about the laws. There's no excuse not to know them, and it took me 5 minutes on my phone to look up the statutes, but the policeman involved failed to even document the right vehicle on the ticket, citing that I was riding something like a golf cart on the sidewalk, it was absurd. Once I healed, I got back on my bike. I wasn't going to let anyone shame me. In fact, I just bought a radrunner 3 plus with some of that settlement money. Can't wait to ride it. Ride on and enjoy yourself man. :)
Russ, in regard to your quick comment about 1:04:55, I have a bit of a different take on more people on Ebike or bikes in general. I think the more and more people on Ebike/bikes may bring a change to the infrastructure and give us better bike lanes, instead of riding in traffic or the "painted gutter lanes" we now often see. So for me, this nearly 70 yr old nearly 300 lb (136.08 kg), Ebiker I say to all, get out of your cars/trucks and onto bikes.
Welcome to the no more TV club on my RUclips or myself. Mostly FY plants and stuff. But now E bike stuff lately, since I've just acquired one. Got the FUCARE,GEMINI !!! 😊Talk about torqued! Oooohhhh yeaaah !!!
I’m 71 years old, getting my first e-bike soon. I’ve been riding regular bikes exclusively for the past 10 years. (I don’t have a car.) I just tell people I’m going to the dark side. I saw your video about considerations for older people. Helpful.
Hi Russ.. I did watch the whole video.. it took 2 evenings, LOL.. I'm 60 years old ..I've been riding bikes since I was a kid.. I've ordered my first e-bike Lectric Xpeak.. I'm expecting it the middle of March.. totally excited about it.. I naturally went to the internet and RUclips and was reviewing and exploring what was out there.. and came across your videos.. I really enjoy them keep up the good work.. thanks for what you do..Happy Riding!😊
Best comment I have ever heard while riding was, "hey, is that a Tesla". We were going in opposite directions so couldn't have any conversation. But I took that as a compliment. Other than that, have only had people say either "nice bike" or "that looks like fun". I do go out of my way to be a "polite" rider. Slow down when passing another biker, jogger or walker and make sure they know I am passing them.
49:10 i was at work and well saw a lady needed help she was from europe and was having luggage taming issues so i stopped to help she then started barking orders and what i was doing wasn't even my job so i looked at her put her stuff down and told her to find someone else to help her then went to my office.
Hi Russ, I am 78 and just bought my second ebike. First one was a mistake, 26" it was too tall, so it is up for sale. I bought it used so have a good chance to recoup. I can't believe I found the second one, a 20" Magicycle step through. Cured having to lift my leg so high. I'm 5'7" and now only need to lift my leg 16". has a 52V 20A battery. Just started 2 weeks ago. My son is bringing his over to go riding.
I have rules to keep everyone happy. I never care about speed on the road. No more than 15 mph on shared trails and get as far over as possible when passing. I discovered that most people respond better with a real bike bell instead of that stupid horn that comes with most builds.
they respond better with your voice "On your left" confuses some adults and most kids. I say "coming up" and if they have a dog " I say coming up with a dog " because my dog is behind me in a bike trailer.
Time and place for everything. I’ve got one coming and I plan on using it to get back and forth to work without sweating and smelling. Ripping down a crowded MUP on a weekend throttle only? Nope. Not appropriate.
Ariel Rider Kepler owner here. I'm in shape, usually 200~210lbs. and very capable of peddling any normal bike 20+mph. That said, having an eBike, for me, feels almost like "cheating" in a way. Considering I can get this thing going nearly 40mph on flat while peddling in the max gear, it is unbelievable. Now I don't even have to sweat, but I can go double, triple, or quadruple the speed and get to most places within 5-8 miles away FASTER than I can in a car. Nobody has "called me a cheater", and I obviously won't get "fat shamed" in that sense, but take it from me. I'm in shape, but simply don't listen to those people. My experience so far is that everyone, and I mean everyone, is jealous of my bike, which is sort of weird. My boss, my former boss, my coworkers, random people when I stop places, even people at intersections, everyone is impressed with the bike. People want one. They're jealous. I mention the price and they shy off. If you are being called lazy or fat-shamed and those sorts of things, that is simply a weak-minded person who can't afford a $1500+ bike who is jealous but would rather try to break you down rather than build themselves up. You're on a bike, you're exercising, you're doing well for yourself and they aren't. Also consider this. As someone in shape, I recommend an eBike to people who are overweight looking to cycle as a workout. You can pedal and get that heart rate up, and when you need a break, you can use that throttle or a heavier pedal assist until you decide to back off the assistance again and continue your workout. It is an excellent choice to get an eBike for a workout and I'd argue all day long that you can get a better, longer, and more fulfilling workout on one as opposed to a normal bike. And all the while, you're going to be having a f-ing blast doing so! I've bought a bunch of dumb things in my life. Buying an Ariel Rider Kepler is one of the very best things I have ever purchased.
Is hiring a company to come clean your gutters considered cheating? Is going to a car wash considered cheating? Or having your groceries delivered considered cheating?
Russ, I really like your attitude viz giving away an ebike for free. Nothing in life is free, you work hard to be able to demonstrate to manufacturers that there is value added when they send you a bike to review... the "free bike" is compensation in recognition for that hard work plus they get the opportunity to get their bikes in front of your viewers. Keep up the good work. Absolutely right... you have to pay taxes on those so called "free bikes".
I would not use use battery on a boat, ebikes batteries are NOT waterproof they are water resistant and salt water will corode that battery faster then an ex wife.
Recently bought a Freesky Himalaya bike. Hopefully it arrives tomorrow, but your videos have been great! The advice is amazing, and I feel more confident not only in my purchase, but also in my ability to keep biking for my commute even if I come across issues! Thank you again, and I hope to see more soon! to
Happy Valentines Day - I laughed when you mentioned my name on this video. Yes, call me Alexa and it goes off. Don't need to add "Hey" Alexa! In June I turn 79 years old and so I can say right now that next year I will be 80 years old. One day I probably should get a trike and will have to do some research.
I have only had my ebike for about a month. No one has "shamed" me for having one.... YET. There are a lot of strange people out there. I was confronted by someone while I waswalking my dog (on a leash). She really "got in my face" and was yelling at me. During all of this one thing she said was.. " I hope that your dog dies ". At that point I knew I was dealing with someone that had some "issues". To be honest I had never even thought about someone shaming me for owning an ebike. I suppose I need to prepare myself for that eventuality. The first thing that comes to mind is.... JEALOUSY. I'm sure there are a number of reasons why someone would do that. Thanks for making this video. take cae.
I just ordered an Lectric trike. If you want to come to Maine I'd be more then welcome you to come review it. I'm excited for it to come... we bought premiums two years ago, while I loved riding it it has always been scary because of the weight of the bike and my multiple issues with my body knees leg and spine. I then hurt my neck 6 weeks ago and am on increased medicines and dealing with constant headaches and dizziness. We camped over the 4th and when I tried to take a short ride with my husband and took a bad fall. So we decided to get the trike. We have a big family camping trip in September and everyone has e-bikes so I wouldn't be able to ride with the group. We always plan a bike trip when we're together. Plus we plan on a long trip next year to Nevada and several National parks and need the bikes to get around the parks. So the trike will be safer for me... hubby is 72 and I'm 65...
Great video! I stayed and watched the whole video. I’m not an e bike rider. I have a mountain bike but your channel and e-bike riders our great people thanks for the entertainment.
Cheating at what?? I didn't know I was playing a game... I'm getting out and getting exercise! And yeah I got that about riding the bike on the street ... while in a bike lane.... Under a shar-ro sign... I flipped him off. Also, I know there are many regular bikes that are more expensive than e-bikes which blows my mind! btw! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY RUSS!!
One more thing, while I didn’t buy one of your sponsored e-bikes for my first bike in over 30 years as a means of combating neuropathy & loss of muscle due to diabetes and getting older… I did buy A EBIKE directly because of Russ’s videos. So, for all you sponsors out there, Russ, Is Right. 🙂
Trev Thiele Russ, I have been watching your u-tube clips now for just over 12 months, from the NE suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. I find I share you views you have spoken of in this 111 minute video and I have finally subscribed. I started e bike riding just before Xmas '22, and have since turned 72 in April, after not having ridden a push bike for 20 years. I bought a new 1 x 10 speed, hard tail, 29er mountain bike, as well as a Tongsheng TSDZ2 e-motor kit complete with a15 ah, 48 volt battery. The assembly was was interesting and fairly straight forward, but not without its challenges. It is a little undulating here but with plenty of trails, a mix of concrete, bitumen, some gravel with just a few being just dirt. Chicago looks billiard table flat compared to where I live in the lead up to the foot hills, of the Adelaide Hills. Our council is quite proactive, with generally a track or two alongside each watercourse or creek as well as cycle tracks marked on main and semi main roads. From where I live I can ride designated pathways along local water courses, the bus "O-Bahn" ( elevated high speed concrete bus only Busway) and River Torrens into the northern side of the Adelaide CBD, a biking distance of 23 km. Check out what Adelaide and environs offer the cyclist and e-cyclist, google Cycling with Serafina. I find interest in all your topics, Russ, and appreciate the effort you put into making them for us.
I've noticed around where I live, e bikers don't ride in the same areas as the spandex posse, who usually ride in packs, like wolves. Instead they ride on the same streets as regular traffic,
Hey Russ. Hope that you and Mrs. Right had a great Valentines Day. Mrs. Chickadee and I went out to eat - which is a rarity for us. Thanks for keeping the videos going through the winter.
Loving this video! I live in a small city where everyone grew up together. The only people who make fun of me are all my friends, lol! Lots of ebikes flooding our city. After my friends make fun of me they call me later and ask me how to get one. 3 friends now have one. I never care what people thing of me so I'm good, well so far.
I want to thank you for answering my question about drop in speakers. We did get the Senna P1. They work great or better than I thought they would. They surve the purpose for what we wanted. So excited thank you.
I’m just going to get something around $800. But I watch all your videos. I also had a left knee replacement and it is not working out for me. They forget to tell you that the knee will still hurt and you can’t get the shot’s anymore. But the e-bike will help a lot.
Electric rates are in the 10 to 15 cents per kilowatt/hour range and a 52v, 20AH battery is 1040 watt/hour (~ 1 kilowatt/hour), so in a perfect world charging would only be 10-15 cents. Since there are some losses involved in heat generation, etc., actual cost is probably in the 25 cent range for a 20 AH battery. That's cheap fun. Keep riding! I agree with you about not using the term "acoustic" to refer to a bike. I have guitars too, so that use gets to me. Happy Valentine's day.
Nukeelec - Is spot on how to calculate the average cost to fully charge a 52v, 20Ah battery in taking into consideration the heat losses associated with the AC/DC charger (Transformer) …. I should have known by your nickname that you either must be a BSEE or have been within the utility industry to know about line and heat transfer losses. My local utility has TOU rates and the kWh rates are even cheaper during off-peak hours and that’s when I schedule my EV to precondition itself and charge and I also regulate my A rate to throttle it back some to make act more like a trickle deep charge vs a full out Level 2 charge.
Happy Valentine’s Day Russ. Enjoy your videos. We do Bike and Barge trips, vacations/Holidays with e-bikes. Ebike trips about 30 miles a day. Have both regular bikes and Ebikes. Most of my E-Bikes are mid drives climb better. Must shift gears. Prefer lighter bikes like your commuter. I also want to be able to remove battery to make it lighter for upstairs, loading on bike rack, or putting on repair stand.
My Ancheer Gladiator has been great for the last 200 miles. I bought it because I have a torn meniscus and the lack of exercise was destroying my health. So far, the only people to rip on me have been friends. I am a pretty big guy, though.
I don’t think you should give bikes away. Like you said , this is your job. It takes your time to make these videos. The people saying “ give the bikes away” , wouldn’t give them away themselves if they were in that situation. On another note, does that tire slime stuff work? I hope so I just used it on my e-bike tires.
Happy Valentines Day Russ! And thanks so much for your recent videos on What to know about e-Bikes before purchasing one. It was most informative and unbiased in understanding that it all comes down personal preferences, available features and options within your budget and safety. Also thanks so much for the “Russ is Right” affiliate link for my recent MagiCycle purchase.
Yes it is your business what you do with the bike/payment for your time, knowledge and opinions reviewing the product. what you do with the bike is your business, it’s yours to use as you choose. The company makes money from the sales you project.
I got my bike mid 2019. I had a few things going on and I needed to release some of it in my mind. Getting an ebike saved me. Before 2019 I hadn’t rode a bike in over 40 years. Now we have 6 family members that have them. We are having a wonderful time. 😊
Hi Russ, I made it through the whole video, although I did watch it in two parts. I had to mow my lawn in between. So the second half was better because the lawn was done! 😅😅😅
We’re in northern WI and have been riding about 600 miles a year on e-bikes. State Parks included. I can honestly say that we’ve never gotten any negative comments while we’re riding. Maybe a couple of people who don’t wave or say hi but they might not have done that even on regular bikes. I think everyone should be cognizant of what’s going on around them and be respectful of others. It’s those blowing past without any warning and scaring people that give us all a bad name.
Now I wear kit on my e-bike. It's more fun and I just don't care what people think. I never thought it would happen. But now that it has. I'm much happier.
Russ was looking for a trike for my wife with health limitations , Addmotor Grandtan plus seamed to be best . after finding out trikes are unstable over 6 mph and tip over easily , then the bikes always run you over ! Most fit 20 year olds have to jump off but never clear the back wheel. She finally described a Aventon Aventure, like you the 1st. Year she may use throttle only !
I'm 72. I've always ridden a bycicle. Now I have nerve damage in my dominate leg and foot due to a hip replacement. When I come to a stop I simply fall over. Sounds funny but it is painful. My husband can still ride a bycicle at almost 80. I would like to ride with him . I am thinking an electric trike Is my answer. I can peddle but when my legs will not work the electric trike will help me. Some day I will have enough saved up to buy an e-trike. I'm looking at a foldable one because we travel as much as possible. I have been watching a lot of u- tubes on e-trikes.
Russ, the video was quite long but it was definitely worth it. I had to stop it halfway because it took too much time. I discovered that RUclips on my IPad marked where I stopped watching and I was able to finish watching today. I thought I would mention it since now I won't pass up a video just because it is too long for one sitting. You might want to mention this to other subscribers so that the length of the video is not much of an issue. And thank you very much for answering my question.
I rode by a cyclist who called me a cheater as well. This attitude is so asinine to me. If I'm "cheating", what are people on motorcycles or cars or in airplanes doing? Would I be less of a cheater if I were riding a unicycle, or a bike that's almost impossible to pedal? Utterly stupid.
Hey, thanks for answering my question about going car-lite! There are always a million reasons to not try something new, but I do hope you really consider it! From what you said in response to my question, going car-lite might be pretty easy for the two of you (during the warm months). And I think it would make a really fun video. Cheers, Jay
Happy Valentines Day, Russ. Watched it all the way through like I always do with your videos. Can't wait to start riding again in the Spring. 65 Degrees is my LIMFAC due to freezing fingers! Maybe Heated gloves next winter. If someone called me a cheater, I would say I'm not playing your stupid game.
I really like what Electric Bike Company is doing, but I don't like the style of bike they make. Beach cruisers and an upcoming Super 76 style bike. Not for me. Hopefully, they'll come up with a bike more my style someday. I'm really impressed with their operation.
I fat-shamed myself, which is why I finally found the motivation to lose the weight I needed to. Never had anyone fat shame me, not that I heard. I probably passed them too fast to hear if they did.
Happy Valentine's Day, Russ! PS. I'm one of the ones that always watch your entire video. I watch your videos while I am on my treadmill. I'm not riding these days for the same reason that you"re not- too cold!!
❤Happy Valentine Day Russ❤Yes I stayed through the whole video bc I am a hard core Russ is Right viewer😂Oh and thanks for answering my question ride on! 👏🏻🚴
You really must the most self-conscious person out there (not just the most cautious). It's unlikely anyone was ever "shaming" you or thinking the negative thoughts you imagine they were. People look at each other; that's just a fact of life. If anything, they were doing a double take at your slow speed or your colourful safety vest. Or they were admiring your nice bike or its handling!
I don’t think I am self conscious when people actually call out and say “cheater”. This has happened many times. I am not the only one who has had this happen.
I don't like the term acoustic bike either. I've also heard analog used to refer to non-electric bikes. I use non e-bike, or sometimes std/regular bike.
I am not quite sure if Analog Bike is correct either since that would imply that the Ebikes are digital. While there might be some digital aspects in the display or controller or the battery BMS, does the digital circuits actually run the bike’s motor? More like it controls the motor. This term is kind of in the middle of correct or incorrect I think.
E-bikes are actually prohibited on sidewalks in Illinois but probably not enforced much so they can't be using any power but technically wouldn't matter since they're not allowed anyway.
@@RussIsRight That is more lack of enforcement since it is stated in IL law Sec. 11-1517: A person may not operate a low-speed electric bicycle on a sidewalk
Everybody’s usage will be different. But as an example, my bike, at PAS-1 uses 2 Amps at 10 mph. My batteries are 48volts x 2 amps usage at 10 mph which = 96 Watts per hour. The batteries I use are rated at 500+ WattHours(Wh) each, and I have two, so at 1000Wh total divided by 96 Watts = 10.42 hours at 10 mph, or 100.42 miles for a full charge At 14.81 cents per KWh … (Southern Indiana as of June 2022, the National average is 4% higher) … that’s about 14.81 cents per full charge, which in our example would result in traveling 100 miles for less than 15 cents. I would check my usage at a set speed on level ground at the differing PAS levels. Using the math will give me a rough range estimate. By contrast: My bike has about 1 Kilowatt hour capacity. Good for anywhere from 60 to 100 miles on a charge for less than 15 cents. A Tesla Model 3 = 75KWh Capacity for an average of 350 miles per charge, locally that’s 14.8 cents per KWh or about $3.14 per 100 miles. Lastly, a Surron EBike uses approximately 51 Wh per mile, so with a 2040 Wh Capacity battery you would get approximately 40 miles for a full charge, costing about 30 cents. For our example that’s about 75 cents per 100 miles. Now I’ve been told my bike at 15 cents per 100 miles is more efficient than we humans are. but before we congratulate ourselves on our bike purchases I would note that Escooters & Eskateboards are even more efficient. I’m leaving that math for someone else… 😉😎
Yes! It is always easy to figure out. Just take the other person out of the sentence and see if at sounds right. Correct usage would be, "My wife and I went shopping." It would sound weird as "Me went shopping." But, in a case like this... "I want an ebike for my wife and I".... it would be incorrect if you took out the wife and said, "I want an ebike for I." So here, the word "I" is incorrect.
Hi, Russ. Great video. Congrats on 13K. I always enjoy listening to you and the viewers comments and questions. I too never watch TV. I am a youtuber viewer par excellence. I watch Netflix or Amazon Prime video sometimes. Oh, I have a great story. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and usually get a shot in my left knee every 3-4 months. But after riding my ebike a lot more last year, I have gone 8 months now before needing a shot. I thought to myself, thank you ebike. It is to be 63 degrees here in PA tomorrow so I do plan to ride. Yay. 🚴🏼♀️
Hi Russ. I was busy yesterday writing a newsletter, repotting about 150 pepper seedlings, and setting up a raised bed for potatoes. Spring is here in Alabama. Do they call people in a wheel chair, using a walker or using a cane cheaters? E-bikes help people ride a bicycle when they need a little help.
I plain out asked this woman how a responsi le bike rider does any harm to anyone else.
Welcome to the no more TV club on my RUclips or myself. Mostly FY plants and stuff. But now E bike stuff lately, since I've just acquired one.

Biking is stress relief to me. If I were in a bad mood it puts a smile on your face. Stayed the whole time. You are so real. Thank you!!!
We are here for you Russ thanks for all you do.
Time and place for everything. I’ve got one coming and I plan on using it to get back and forth to work without sweating and smelling. Ripping down a crowded MUP on a weekend throttle only? Nope. Not appropriate.
Up here in Maine I get nothing but smiles and waves, and asking where i got my E-Bike, and how much it costs. (RadRover Plus 6 Step-Thru)
On the boat question id be kind of worried with all the batteries catching fire lately id hate to be in the middle of a lake on fire.
Happy Valentine's Day, Russ! Thanks for all you do for us ebike enthusiasts.
Happy Valentines Day Russ, great video, thanks for reading/commenting on everyone! Almost two hours long, but enjoyed it ALL!!!
Hi Russ, I watch the whole thing. after watching your videos on the Magicycle cruiser pro I bought one I love it. Thanks for all your videos.
Awesome, thank you!
A few people have asked me “how can I lose weight on an e-bike”!…. I say, have you ever heard of PEDAL ASSIST? 😊
Thank you.
Happy Valentine's Day Russ! A lot of very interesting stories from others and perspectives in this video about how they deal with being fat shamed.
I have a noseless, crotchless sit-bones-only saddle. I love it!
I would not use use battery on a boat, ebikes batteries are NOT waterproof they are water resistant and salt water will corode that battery faster then an ex wife.
Good stuff Russ, I bought my ebike to lose weight, lost 30lbs so far... thanks for the discussion
Happy Valentines Day Russ, thank you for all your informative ebike news.
😊
Thanks for making this video. take cae.
Yes, jealousy is a big one. I get comments that tend to prove that. Be prepared! Thanks for your comment.
I always look forward to seeing your videos and appreciate all the hard work that goes into making them. Thanks
One more thing, while I didn’t buy one of your sponsored e-bikes for my first bike in over 30 years as a means of combating neuropathy & loss of muscle due to diabetes and getting older…
I did buy A EBIKE directly because of Russ’s videos. So, for all you sponsors out there,
Russ,
Is Right.
🙂
Great video! Because of you Russ my wife and I bought 2 Magicycles and we are having a blast on them. Happy V day.
Trev Thiele
Russ, I have been watching your u-tube clips now for just over 12 months, from the NE suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.
Thanks for watching and sticking around for all these videos! Ride safe!
I've noticed around where I live, e bikers don't ride in the same areas as the spandex posse, who usually ride in packs, like wolves. Instead they ride on the same streets as regular traffic,
😳
I bought an e bike and never regretted it.
Same got mine four days ago , Best invention ever ride too work, and just got back from a leisurely scenic ride ,Can't beat it
I want to thank you for answering my question about drop in speakers.
We did get the Senna P1. They work great or better than I thought they would. They surve the purpose for what we wanted. So excited thank you.
Glad it worked out for you!
Good discussion Russ. Doubt I'd watch anyone else for this long but it's early enough in the day that I can do so.
Happy Valentines day Russ! I watched the whole video in one sitting.
I’m just going to get something around $800. But I watch all your videos. I also had a left knee replacement and it is not working out for me. They forget to tell you that the knee will still hurt and you can’t get the shot’s anymore. But the e-bike will help a lot.
Happy Valentine's Day Russ! Thanks for reading my comment aloud! I wasn't expecting that!
Happy Valentines Day Russ!! I absolutely LOVE these Q&A videos!!! Keep them up!!!!
Good to know! Thanks!
Happy Valentines Day Russ, I've been with you a long time, that must have been your longest video ever lol.
Yes it was
Happy Valentine’s Day Russ.
Some People are always asking for free. You don’t need to justify your decision to keep your bikes. You have earned it and companies benefit.
I get lots of people asking me about my Lectric 2.0, and I am very happy with it .
Happy Valentine's Day, Russ!! Your videos are very entertaining and enjoy your wisdom! Have a great day!
My Ancheer Gladiator has been great for the last 200 miles. I bought it because I have a torn meniscus and the lack of exercise was destroying my health. So far, the only people to rip on me have been friends. I am a pretty big guy, though.
This week I had two flats on my bike not fun.
🙁
Watched it over 2 days! Thanks! And happy Valentines Day Russ!
Always look forward to and enjoy your videos, Russ.
Happy Valentine's Russ, enjoy your videos as an older rider.
Thanks for your purchase! I am sure you will have fun with your Magicycle Ebikes! Welcome to the channel!
👍
Happy Valentine’s Day Russ. I really enjoy your videos and commentary.
Lectric has a new trike now too for around $1500 and Rad Power Bikes has one for $2500. Both are limited to 15 mph.
Yes, RUclips always picks up where you left off. I will try to remember to let people know. 😊
Happy Valentines Day Russ! Love your channel! And yes, I stayed through the whole video!
Cheers, Jay
Happy Valentine’s Day Russ. I had carpal tunnel surgery today on my right hand. Now a left hand thumb throttle would be nice!
Hope it heals quickly!
Check out the Model R which doesn’t look like a beach cruiser. They are also offering handlebars now that are not swept back like a beach cruiser.
I fat-shamed myself, which is why I finally found the motivation to lose the weight I needed to. Never had anyone fat shame me, not that I heard. I probably passed them too fast to hear if they did.
Happy Valentines Day Russ. I really enjoy your information on ebikes.
I watched the entire video and enjoyed the content, have a great day Russ.
Happy Valentine's Day, Russ!
PS. I'm one of the ones that always watch your entire video. I watch your videos while I am on my treadmill. I'm not riding these days for the same reason that you"re not- too cold!!
👍
Watched this video, and got excited about the giveaway--until I saw the 7 month old comments. What a letdown.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY, RUSS! LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS!
❤Happy Valentine Day Russ❤Yes I stayed through the whole video bc I am a hard core Russ is Right viewer😂Oh and thanks for answering my question ride on! 👏🏻🚴
Happy Valentine's Day Russ. Love your channel. Keep on riding!
Hi Russ, Happy Valentine's Russ, another awsome video congratulations on 13k subscribers 👏
Watched till the end interesting questions and answers
Keep your videos coming . Learn a lot thanks
@@RussIsRight It's all attitude. I have passed bicyclists with a beep, calling out: "Look out, cheater coming through!" 😉
I don't like the term acoustic bike either.
Happy Valentines Day Russ. Thanks.
E-bikes are actually prohibited on sidewalks in Illinois but probably not enforced much so they can't be using any power but technically wouldn't matter since they're not allowed anyway.
Certain towns in Illinois it is ok to ride on the sidewalks in Illinois. Each municipality has the ability to decide.
@@RussIsRight That is more lack of enforcement since it is stated in IL law Sec. 11-1517: A person may not operate a low-speed electric bicycle on a sidewalk
You are correct!
@@-.O.- I hope there is also a law that applies to electric scooters.
I was told by our local police that electric scooters could not be ridden on the sidewalks.
Happy Valentines 💝 Russ, enjoy!
I enjoy your videos. Happy Valentines Day Russ!
Happy Valentine’s Day Russ! Congrats on 13k!
Thanks!
Everybody’s usage will be different.
But as an example, my bike, at PAS-1 uses 2 Amps at 10 mph. My batteries are 48volts x 2 amps usage at 10 mph which = 96 Watts per hour.
The batteries I use are rated at 500+ WattHours(Wh) each, and I have two, so at 1000Wh total divided by 96 Watts = 10.42 hours at 10 mph, or 100.42 miles for a full charge
At 14.81 cents per KWh …
(Southern Indiana as of June 2022, the National average is 4% higher)
… that’s about 14.81 cents per full charge, which in our example would result in traveling 100 miles for less than 15 cents.
I would check my usage at a set speed on level ground at the differing PAS levels. Using the math will give me a rough range estimate.
By contrast:
My bike has about 1 Kilowatt hour capacity.
I’m leaving that math for someone else…
😉😎
👍
I really enjoy your channel it is awesome
Happy Valentine’s Day Russ
“Wife and I” would be used as the subject of a sentence. in other words , at the beginning of the sentence.
Another big question, Could a bicycle dynamo be used to charge the E-BIKE battery while riding so as to go further distances
Yay. 🚴🏼♀️
Good for you! The exercise is helping you!
