THANK YOU for how positive this is. The weight stigma I have encountered looking at e-bikes for larger bodies is awful. This was DELIGHTFUL, and makes me want an e-bike!
@@sixthreezeroHELP PLEASE - I enjoyed this video and I like your bikes. I went on your site to read reviews and was happy to see that 76% of the reviews were 5 ⭐s and those people seemed very happy with their bikes. There is only one real concern that is stopping me from driving down to your location and purchasing bikes for me and my wife. The fact that most of your 1⭐ reviews were from customers that were very unhappy with customer service and the untimely/delayed shipping of parts and supplies. If you have a minute please let me know your companies view on these issues. Great video and I really like your bikes. Thank You.
Thanks for the comment! We ship our parts out as soon as possible. Customer both need warranty parts and also purchasing on their own. We always maintain a healthy stock of replacement parts and warranty parts but at times we run out of stock and have to wait for the replacement parts to arrive. This sometimes causes delays of part shipping. We've improved this system and increased our parts supply to combat this issue! If you have any other questions please let us know!
Great video on the use of E Bikes. We like riding bikes, but at my age the assist is useful and the best option. I was afraid of buying a regular bike, but was concerned about my ability. Your presentation has given us the interest to purchase an E Bike. Ty
I'm 5' 10" and I weigh in at 264 lbs. Hey, just being honest, I'm way overweight and I look it. I'm expecting delivery of my ebike in about 2 weeks. Yeah, I'll be a fat guy on a bike, in fact I'm 63 years old, so I'll be an old, fat guy on a bike and I intend to ride that bike all over the place and if people look at me sideways, or laugh, or think some rotten thought about it...I DON'T CARE hahahaha! I'm living my life and it ain't no business of theirs unless I invite them into it. So, they can all kick rocks...I'm gonna ride my bike and love every minute of it.
I am 6 foot five and 330 pounds. That would be hard for me to say on camera so I can totally appreciate these riders. Is extremely helpful for those of us who are overweight to see other folks are size riding bikes, and doing reviews. I totally appreciate this content.
I haven't ridden a bike in 30 years due to my weight, glad to see an ebike that can handle my 390lbs that would make hills manageable. Thank you, will be ordering soon.
Dustin (leader) was so sweet with the group. He was very respectful, kind and almost gentle with everyone. I loved how supportive he was while also encouraging them. I have to say, he is very good at what he does! Good on you, Dustin!
I love the excitement as they take off for the first time! I was the same just two days ago! Just got my Sixthreezero Step thru and I was like a kid too! I love this all inclusive video! ❤ Stella is adorable. Wish we lived closer so we could ride together! 😊
E-bikes are so great for us larger people to get us back to moving. And for smaller people it's just as much fan too! A tip for new riders, when you climb on top of the bike, engage the front brake to make sure your bike doesn't move when you jump on. This is something we learn in motorbike driver's license education here in Finland. Another thing you learn, which is good for bikes as well, is that going too slow makes it difficult to turn tight. If you are about to lose your balance, try a bit more speed next time (as long as it's not too fast or on slippery surface).
What a phenomenal video, and an excellent way to market your products! I haven't seen this from competitors, likely because they don't want to show riders who don't fit their vibe and/or who exceed their warrantied weight limits. But we, too, want to ride - and we, too, have money. Most of us understand that warranties rarely apply to us, and being able to SEE heavy folks on an aesthetically pleasing e-bike that works with our bodies is better than reading about it. Anyway, thanks for making this :)
I love this! thank you to all of the riders!! it is great to see people like yourself testing things instead of some really fit guy telling me why a bike would work for me when the seat looks like a banana!
I love to see the reactions of these people it's very sweet, I was an avid bmxer until I was in my twenties, the bike just seemed to be a part of me and there was nothing I couldn't do on it or felt comfortable with. now I'm 54 245 lb I'm not that young skinny kid anymore I just ordered a fat tire 20in style folding bike, I'm kind of nervous it's been a few years since I've been on a bike in any capacity so I see what these people are going through, but I've always been an athlete hopefully in no time I will pick it back up again, living at the beach it's all flat and it's great for riding very fun inspirational video I really enjoyed it
One thing to assure new riders is to let them know even slightly pressing the brakes disengages the motor. Because it's scary to the senses that first time. Good vid!
Wonderful video, super motivating. What made me realize is the freedom you get with an e-bike at age 63 It seems like when you get your first car at 18. The freedom and enjoyment. Do you ship to Puerto Rico? It's considered as domestic shipping and not international. Let me know pls.
This is awesome! My wife and I have been working on loosing weight this would help her a lot. We went 1 mile on regular bike and she was exhausted. We have also found a book called " stay off my operating table" she has struggled with addiction to sugar but we both lost 50lb in a few months. Addiction is more than drugs. The journey is hard! Glad to see there is something to assist.
I enjoyed watching these folks get back on a bike after so long. I did the same thing but it wasn't electric bike, they're very fortunate to have such a fun thing to jump back in with!
Absolutely love this video! I bought an ecotric fat tire bike, and it's served me well, for almost 2 yrs. At 280lbs, I struggle going up certain hills, so I'll be upgrading my motor, to a 750 watt, which will add much needed torque.
that is my weight. Your comment on the review is very helpful. I'm shopping for an ebike after discovering this amazing game changer on a practice lesson at a bike hire shop on my beachside holiday.
This was incredible and pure joy to watch. It brought back memories of when I first bought my e-bike. I literally couldn't get off it! It became my lifeline during my depression and anxiety struggles. I spent countless hours riding around Central Park in NYC. It helped me lose a significant amount of weight, and more importantly, I felt active, happy, and saw a big improvement in my mental health. Unfortunately, I had to sell it when I lost my job. That led to another bout of depression, and without my e-bike, I struggled to find other activities to stay active. It was a tough time. Thankfully, I'm going back to work soon, even though I'm broke for now (haha). But once I start working and save some money, the first thing I'm getting is another electric bike. They're truly amazing for staying active and boosting mental health. I actually wish the government could somehow subsidize e-bikes for people who need them most.
Love this vid so wholesome nothing should stop you doing anything In life. It must be scary being a bigger person riding a bike but how happy they were and for some it was like nearly 20 years with out riding any bike. I hope they enjoyed and just cause your a bigger person don’t let it stop you having fun 🙏🏽
I bought my teal 630 EVRY journey e-bike in September 2023. I’m 5‘6“ and weigh 225 pounds. I’m 67 years old. I LOVE my bike. I feel like I’m 12 years old when I’m riding my bike. All I need now are those handlebar streamers and a playing card clothes-pinned on the frame to flap against the spokes. Seriously, I now can ride with my 70-year-old husband who rides a 30 speed Bianchi racing bike. I can totally pass him on the hills. 😊
This was a wonderful video. I loved how respectful and patient Dustin was with each of these beautiful riders. I’m 65 years old, 260 pounds, and recently retired. The bikes used in this video seem like they would be perfect for me. Thank you Dustin and sixthreezero!
This is such an amazing video!! Thank you for doing this and sharing real numbers so that we can truly get an idea for ourselves. Truly so grateful for this content!!!
I should be glad that I have not yet been able to get a new bike. I'm learning more about every couple of days. I am short and fat so this video is very informative and helped me to have a little bit more confidence. I've been afraid that I would fall over when I stopped or started or something like that.
Hi Ricardo! I'm a relatively new e-bike user. One observation I want to share with you is I've discovered that having the motor actually increases my riding confidence. Getting going on an e-bike from a stop can be much easier than an un-powered bike. One thing about riding with pedal assist that many non-users (or new users) might not understand is the power delivery cuts out anytime the user stops pedaling. It also cuts out anytime the brakes are engaged. When riding with pedal assist engaged, you can actually coast to a stop (if not going down a hill) simply by ceasing your pedaling. A little practice in an empty parking lot makes a big difference in getting used to an e-bike and getting comfortable with its performance.
The thing I always struggled with on bikes was the seat height. I'm 6'7, 450 pounds so anytime I would get on a bike and set the seat high enough the lock on the seat post would either snap or just not work and I would go slamming down, and then the seat would tilt all the way back and throw me off basically making the whole thing unrideable.
Just my 2c, as a heavy rider: 6'1", 320, 64yo, 3 joint replacements; I ride bikes with conversion kits installed (I'm a former bike wrench). 1000w/48v, top end 28mph, range about 12mi on throttle only. I'm a longtime rider, haven't ridden more than a couple miles to the park with grandsons since retiring 3-1/2 years ago. I'm in such abysmal shape right now that my ONE NY resolution is more time pedaling. When the weather breaks (Great Lakes region). I have 2 ebikes -- the 1000w I mentioned, w/ 7 speeds, and a 1500w single speed. I'm planning on making the single a 7 as well. Shorter ranges, but the converted bike will be about half the price of a turnkey bike. And I'm picky about parts! Lol
All the ebikes I seen online say max weight 265lbs (120kg). So it is refreshing and really motivating to see heavier people can actually still use them. I am 264 and I want to bring my child on it too who is 60lbs but I have been scared it will break down because of going beyond maximum weight. Thank you for this video now I want an ebike
I was 128kgs, with diet and exercise I'm now 115kgs. Now i'm looking for a fat bike possibly an e-bike as I want to get out on the bike trails and paths here. ❤ Seeing the looks and smiles on these guys and gals faces I'm confident that I will be able to get a bike that will suite me and how and where I want to go.
Here in Britain we are not allowed to have an e-bike with a motor over 250 watts. I have a Hitway BK5, which has 16 inch wheels and a single gear that manages to get me around the hills in SE London. I weigh about 260lbs.
Appreciate this program. Im 6' 2" 350 lbs. Havent ridden much in 5 years, I used to ride alot in my 40s (70 lbs ago). My question is, how much range wjll i have, the battery is 48 volts 10.5 AH.?
Depends on how much you use throttle assist. The more you peddle and less full throttle you save battery time. you'll get probably 25 miles on a 1000 watt battery and motor.
Hi sixthreezero team, I looked at your website after watching this video but found your bikes described there as rated for a maximum of 300 pound riders - including the bikes you've demonstrated in this video. Are you able to clarify what the weight capacity of your bikes like the EVRYJourney are, please?
Great question, we warranty our bikes up to 300lbs, but the weight capacity is 450lbs. The additional weight on the bike may require some things to be replaced sooner than usual, like spokes and seats. But the frame will hold up no problem.
Just a thought; should the day ever come when we can provide a charging system that is efficient enough to recharge the batteries while the bike is being ridden, even just enough to recharge at 50% of battery output which would boost the overall capacity and ride time by 50% more, then I think we'd see these sorts of bikes just explode on the market...everyone would want one. Could you imagine perhaps a charging system as efficient as an alternator in a car, that keeps the battery charged all the time? Wow, that would just be a total game changer.
It can handle heavier riders, but the warranty is void over 300lbs. That's mainly because over time the wear and tear will be more and we can't guarantee an exact lifetime of the bike.
how would a 250 watt E-Bike do against a 20mph headwind 4 miles long using the pedal assist ! trying to decide how big of a watt bike i need for my commuting daily ! thanks for your input
What class is this bike 1,2 or 3? Will these bike be ok with bike laws I mean on bike paths in parks and state parks? I’d hate to get one and not have anywhere I can ride it.
These are Class 2 Ebikes featured in the video. These will be ok most places especially if you ride at same pace of other rides on the path. The national parks have different regulations based on the park and trail. But usually it's only class 1 and 2 ebikes that are allowed.
Hey dustin can you tell me what a good afordable bike 350 (ok well 355) and 6ft 5 and cost to ship to Raleigh nc and where can you take it is it breakes

I’m a little confused, on the website it says these bikes weight limit is 300, so is that just for the like range estimates or what?
We only warranty them up to 300lbs, but they can perform above that weight.
If I wanted to put it in level none is that possible
Yes of course. You can either leave the motor off, or put it in level 0 and you won't receive assistance from the motor.
You forgot to tell everyone to brake with rear brake first 😮
Is it a hub motor?
Yes it is, a 250 watt front hub motor.
E bikes are good it gets heavier and older riders out doing what they used to do.....
If you don’t want to use the electric and you just want to pedal like a regular bike
none of them are pedaling. No pedaling == not a bicycle.
If you're obese, forget the Ebike and get a regular bike. You just might lose a few pounds and get healthy too.
yea.. why didn't we think of that. :-/
