    Tried it out today & the cake turn out very nice, very fluffy & soft. I use multi purpose flour as don't have cake flour. Everything perfect. Thanks for the recipe.

    I bake it in a steam convention oven with only 15 mins . The cake rise well inside the oven but when took out to cool it sunken in the middle .

    I already rebake but the result is cracked whether the oven temperature is not suitable
    about the banana ogura cake that matches the temperature
    why does cotton cake fail ???

      Hi, there are many factors for this, it may be that the egg white beat over or
      the temperature of the oven is too high, because the temperature of each oven are different, can try to adjust

    Hi, Apron. I found this recipe yesterday and baked it. The cake turned out soft and beautiful except that the side is a bit damp. Can I have put back in the oven to bake another 10 minutes after demould. Or should I straight away bake it for another 10 minutes without water bath before demould? Which is the correct way? Please advise. Thank you

      Hi, put the baking tray in a large baking tray with water and bake together, this baking method can keep the cake taste moist

      如果是活底圆模的话,建议还是包锡箔纸吧,或者可以在模具下面放个蒸架,只要不让活底模具接触到水就可以了。

      Yes u can. Bakers i know use corn oil instead of vege oil bcs they claimed it will give better result

      I know this is a late reply but you shouldn't. For these cotton/chiffon/sponge cakes, using oil makes the cake softer, lighter, especially when you can't eat it all at once and you have to store it in refridgerator, oil keeps the cake soft while butter in cold environment will condense, resulting in hard-rock cake and totally destroy the texture.

      It should be a problem with the water bath .You can put it back in the oven and bake it for 5-10 minutes without water bath

      Hi,cake flour is more delicate than all purpose flour. can try to make,
      for every 1 cup of all purpose flour remove 2 Tbsp of flour,and replace 2 Tbsp of that with cornstarch
