Dear Pimax, give to all of us software solution for chromatic aberration - like Almalence. You could start with simple settings of scaling of the R G B chanels separately so we could try to tweak it for ourselves. I know it is not the perfect solution, but in Reverb G2 I could slightly improve the image in vr.
Almalence requires eye-tracking so I don't think we will see this on the Crystal Light. But never say never, maybe we will when used in combination with Fixed Foveated Rendering 2.0...
I believe that even without eye tracking there is room for improvement in regard to reduction of chromatic abberation. There will be for sure further away from the center of image some bluriness but reducing chromatic aberration nontheless would greatly enchance clarity and image reception.

There is no lag dependent on a connection back to the PC and it relies on the performance of the CPU which is potentially less consistent and an onboard dedicated XR2. Since I think the Super is being positioned as the 'ultimate' VR system, using an onboard XR2 would seem to deliver this. I get it's cheaper to not have the XR2, but for the Super is cheaper really what you are after?
The pimax tracking wont work if: You have a dog. You have a window open ro stay cool. If your god damn monitor is on. If the have a fan on. If the weather is wrong. If you have an empty room. If you have a busy full room. If you have a mirror. Nowhere is safe!! We shit outta luck!! 😅😅
It's kinda funny when you put it that way. Varjo, a developer of professional VR headsets often using cutting edge technology, is using inside out tracking for the first time as well (with inhouse tracking algorithms for the headset I assume) with their new XR4 headset and they too have these limitations and unlike Pimax they still have severe tracking issues.
All these things aren't optimal but your tracking will still work. If your dog walks by that's no problem. We also do events and there's 20 people walking around the headset, no problem.
If you're using your pimax for VR flight Sim I recommend not using this camera tracking, use Lighthouse tracking instead. If you've ever been flying and you want to magnify and zoom up on something far away you will get a jittery effect when using the camera tracking versus the lighthouse tracking. Especially if you have transducers that vibrates your seat for engines simulation.

But you are partly right, Pimax will have no choice but to incrementally fine-tune their tracking algorithm until it's in a state that they can use it hassle-free on their way more expensive headsets releasing later this year.
LoL insane to say, you cannot have a wide monitor when you use pimax crystal tracking wtf, keep purchase Meta Quest 3 they do shit and they are not able to do a decent tracking.
To be fair I am constantly worried regarding my Reverb G2 tracking stability with lighting variables as it is so glitchy. Jumps around like box of frogs. I turn off my monitor and PC RGB as I’m close to both. doesn’t affect recording the image in OBS or anything. Only issue would be if your friends are over and you want them to see what you’re seeing too via monitor. That would be so frustrating. Only silver lining is that VR enthusiasts don’t have friends (wouldn’t need VR to escape actual reality otherwise). If Pimax develop stronger tracking algorithms to combat this effect I’ll be happy. HP quit sending out updates for the G2 soon after release and it remained broken ever since. P.S - if you’re reading this Pimax…where the bloody hell is my Crystal light? Not worth talking about tracking if you have no headset to track.

My invite to pay came at the end of the business day of the 30th of May. I paid within the hour but got a 31st May order date hahaha. So I’m in a totally new shipping batch cycle than I ought to be. So excited. I keep looking for fresh reviews and content on RUclips for it. Expectations as so high coming from my G2. Only bad thing I have heard which is really cheap of Pimax is that they are shipping a solely PCVR headset with a 4.5m cable which is shorter than previous headset models and shortly than other brands. I think that is pretty cheap of them to cut costs there.
Developing inside out tracking was the best decision from Pimax.
But it won’t work with Valve Index controllers or Pimax Sword controllers. 😥 So I’ll continue to need Lighthouse Tracking support.
Is is available with crystal light? If so where to turn it on in app?

We're working on deep learning where e.g. it could detect such monitors. Hang on! We try to be open about the progress and work we need to do.
