After all the years passed I always had a serious crush on Mary Ann and even now at 64 would have her right now
@@williecarmonjr2021 When I was 15, she was doing a theatre production at Stage West in Edmonton, Alberta.
I worked in the kitchen. She came through for lunch but the cooks were all on break. I found the short order cook and told him steak and fries for Mary Ann, she smiled and thanked me.
Three days later, she was signing autographs for a crowd in the lobby when I came by, she stood up, came over to where I was, and gave me a kiss, then thanked me for arranging for her lunch. The crowd applauded and I walked away very red faced, but floored.
I walked on air for a month. She was always my favorite too!!
As of today, December 30th 2020, Dawn Wells has passed away. RIP Mary Ann.
it's sad
I grew up watching this and still do. It's crazy how fast life goes by. We are only here a short time.
There's a load of wisdom in your words. I still get reminiscing and sigh, I can't help myself, I am very emotional. Is It part of aging? Hormones depletion? I don't know, I cry very often. Best Regards from Mexico.
It does go by fast👍
YES!!! I'm 61, getting older, Enjoyed the show.
YOUR 21 ONE DAY, THEN 60 THE NEXT DAY. ENJOY EACH DAY❤
Where do u find full episodes
I met Dawn Wells years ago in the airport. She was so kind, and just as sweet as I had imagined. Such a nice woman.
Crown Commando damn. did u smack her booty
Crown Commando lol i wish i could time travel and see her LOLL she was a beauty. i wasn’t even alive when she was in her “prime”, im only 16!
Not to mention HOT
Simir Johnson , lucky you.
You're so lucky.
Alan Hale Jr. was such a class act, even as he was in the hospital dying he took time to visit kids in the cancer ward.
Yes, Alan Hale Jr. had a rock solid reputation for being a very nice guy, I believe it 100%.
@Beumadine Sweevy It sounds very believable, based on his well known reputation of being a wonderful man !
@Beumadine SweevyNo unfortunately I never met the man, I forget where but I think I heard about it from some kind of mini-biography about him here on RUclips, I don't remember what it was called.
No surprise about hale, his father always played nice guys in classic films at Warner brothers. Very warm personality, jr. Learned love and kindness growing up. Made his own mark as the skipper.
Yeah,good people back then.
Man, this makes me think how young I was when I first watched Gillian’s Island and how old I am now.
I wasnt even born, not till the 70s.
Scarlet Daze me too!
Ikr
At least you're not as old as the cast members themselves (I assume)
Yeah, kinda sad in a way because I don’t feel much different than when I watched it back in the day and they look so different. Getting old sux
Truly a great review. Gilligan's Island was a zany comedy that everybody loved. May those who have passed Rest in Peace.
These people always made us laugh, and my wife and adult kids laugh along side us when we watch the reruns. I am 75, and my own youthful looks are long gone as well as theirs. So what. They were with us then, and made life fun, and now they too are old or have passed away. We have our memories. Comedy was wholesome back then, not vulgar and jaded like today's shows. Memories. Memories.
So true John. This video made me sad. So many of them are gone
Hey man be glad you still have memories I know a lot of people in your age group and half the time they don't recognize their own children...rock on pops I'm 30yrs behind you
Yeah,it was a good time period.
Vulgar is just an expression
There are differences
Dawn Wells R I P with Bob Denver & Jim Backus & Alan Hale The Professor shall be missed
Unfortunately,we all age and pass on. It's sad,but we should remember everyone for all the laughs and enjoyment we got from these classic shows. God bless them all for making me laugh and the wonderfully entertaining stories. I think we all long for a Gilligan's Island somewhere in our lives.
Ken Deren i want to thumbs up this more than once but alas I can’t
This is my absolute favorite TV show of all time. No close second. It can make me happy, and take me away from my worries like nothing else. I love every single person who had any part in this show, on and off camera. It is SO perfectly cast.
Absolutely my friend absolutely
Ken Deren: You're right about remembering them for the laughs that they gave us. 👍
@@Lauren-dg6et thank you.
I was eight when Gilligan's Island started. There are many great memories I have of the show, and I very rarely missed an episode, come hell or high water. RIP to all of those involved in this wonderful series who are no longer with us & thank you for the nice post!
R.I.P Dawn Wells COVID 19 just took her in the last days of 2020.
I was just wondering if the remaining cast is doing well as I watched this. Sad to hear.
@@IkesDaddelbox only Ginger is left
I didn’t even know she passed!! RIP Dawn🙏
I never knew she passed away from that
Well it was "reported" as covid anyway. I never believed that, but it doesn't matter. What matters is that she will be deeply missed. She was the prettiest castaway, and even in her final moments at her age she was still beautiful.
Sad but enjoyable. Brought back memories of a happier time. Thankyou.
Totally agree with you Marco, I remember watching reruns of this show in the late 70's early 80's as a kid here in Australia, good times happy times, unfortunately all gone.
@Mike Smith I hear too many stories as I was born too late for this. I'd love going to see family every Sunday on rest day like my family always did. I life half in this time wishing I could spend the other half in the past times.
You are very welcome.
Amen to that
Dawn Wells is still pretty at eighty. She aged remarkably well.
Sorry that's a man..
I thought the same thing. I hope I look that good at her age.
@@chads3308 Shut up. You are not funny.
I agree.
Dawn wells has a lot of plastic surgery. She doesn't look much like herself
Dawn Wells! OMG! SO BEAUTIFUL
I named my youngest daughter MARYANN, yes, after Dawn Wells character! She was the epitome of sweetness, kindness and beauty!
Dawn wells...still as beautiful as ever
That brought me back to when television was wholesome, Mary Ann will always be my favorite personality but great show.
For those who might be interested, here are the full cast names of the seven castaways: Willy Gilligan, Skipper Jonas Grumby, Thurston Howell III, Eunice Wentworth “Lovey” Howell, Professor Roy Hinkley, Ginger Grant, Mary Ann Summers
Bob Denver played Gilligan. Alan Hale played the skipper. Tina Louise played Ginger Grant, Dawn Wells played MaryAnne, Jim Backus was Thurston Howell lll and hia wife Lovey, was played by Penelope Fletcher. The professor played by Russle, his last name escapes me.
@@annettedeem807 And a large man , Richard Kiel (James Bond villain) also in Gilligan Island. 👍👍👍
@@annettedeem807 who the hell is Penelope Fletcher?
@@flintymcduff5417
Natalie Shafer played Penelope Fletcher in an episode of The Brady Bunch.
I loved this show as a kid! They were all still around when I was born in 1980. How time passes. These talented souls will be missed!
Dawn Wells: a shining example of how to grow more beautiful with age!
Amen to that,my friend.
"Mary Ann or Ginger?"
Most guys chose Mary Ann.
Yes , Tina ,well i won't say!
Maryann...still gorgeous!
After seeing the "now" pictures of both Dawn and Tina, I totally know why I was always a Mary Ann guy. Dawn: gorgeous then, gorgeous now. Tina beautiful then...uh...let's just leave it at that.
Hell, even Natalie looked better at 90 than Tina at 84.
How big of a role did cosmetic surgery play?
@@WmTRiker Ouch! Well at least Tina doesn't have to accept a gofundme because she was stupid with her money.
Major childhood crush of mine...along with Julie Newmar (Catwoman) and Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha Stevens )
@@thomasdykstra2944 It was Barbara "Agent 99" Feldon on Get Smart for me.
Oh mary ann thanks for being such a little doll.My whole teenage years revolved around you.Nice to see tou still doing well and still beautiful.
We all grew up watching this and other shows like this over and over. They are eternally a part of us. They live on in our memories but I also feel so sad to see so much time passed and so many gone before us. My world feels a bit smaller and lonelier.
So great to see all the old cast and character actors --some real great character actors in there! Brings a huge smile to my face!
Dawn Wells will never get old--just as lovely and sweet as ever!
So very sad to lose Dawn Wells - MaryAnne today, December 30, 2020 from complications of Covid19. It epitomizes this year. She aged so well physically and was still so sweet, encouraging us to have a light heart!
One of my most favorite shows.I still stop and watch now.It came on between 3 and 330.I would stop and go home just to watch. Everyone made fun but it never stopped me.Good shows are gone. Thanks for the reruns.
Beautiful memories,...they brought us joy, watching their great work...👍
Mary Ann still looks good for her age. This show used to be a favorite of my brother, and me back in the day! Wish they would show reruns on TV Land. I miss that show. I miss my brother more. But I’d like to watch it again to bring back good memories.
The show "Re-runs" on "ME-TV" (Memorable Entertainment Television here in S. FL. Ch.15)only on Saturdays from 2pm-3pm and the say "A Three Hour Tour" with Dawn Wells being the Spokesperson! It is evident she loved playing "Mary Ann". And us the Fans of the Show: still love her too!
CORRECTION: 2pm-5pm for a "THREE HOUR TOUR" ON SATURDAY AFTERNOONS ONLY ON: (M.E.-TV "Memorable Entertainment Television"!) like the S.S. Minnow was billed running.
Mary Ann was my favorite and I thought she was so beautiful when I was a boy growing up in the 60's and 70's. It was funny show
I just met Dawn Wells who played 'Mary-Ann,' last week at the 'Orange County' Strawberry festival in Garden-Grove, CA. She looked beautiful and radiant, couldn't believe she's 80. Looks like only 50. She was VERY nice, funny, and VERY warm and sincere, and seemed to really enjoy interacting with all the fan's who flocked around her ' Autograph-Booth.'
I got my photo taken with her, gave her a hug, and got her Autograph on a sexy '8×11. WOW. 😎👌
Alexander Shakespere And such a nice lady too!
Awesome. 😊
Good bye and rest in peace to Dawn Wells (Mary Ann). She and 'the rest' who passed who brought us so much laughter and joy will be missed but never forgotten.
Miss Wells is still beautiful
RIP DEAR ONES, YOU BROUGHT ME SUCH JOY 40 + YEARS AGO 🎈♥️⚘⚘⚘
Wow Dawn Wells still looks good
Craig Pureblood - Yea , and Ginger was supposed to be the hottest , who's hotter now?
couple of years ago i clipped an article from a newspaper saying she got stopped by a cop in california and had reefer roaches in the ashtray
Craig Pureblood
She was cute and simple, not high maintenance like the Ginger type..
@@jbirdnelson3818 Maryann herself has over the years sold Ginger down the river with labels like high maintenance. Maryann sells herself as perfection of course.

Nothing wrong with telling the truth...
I'm only 13, and yet, I still watch this show... it's sad to know that half the people I loved on that show are now gone...
These things make me so sad, yet I continue to watch them when they come up in my recommendations. So true is that song: Everybody Dies Young.
Larry Storch is 96 and still kicking!
Russell Johnson was one of the kindest, sweetest men ever to every one of his fans. I know, and still have the signed photos from him to my disabled son. :) RIP, Russell -
Nice to hear. :)
That's a nice story, thanks for sharing it.
So nice to hear that.
Skipper, the professor and Gilligan were the only ones who wore the same clothes every show.
You would think that their cloths would get dirty or ripped or something
Randy Acuna , I said that exact same thing to my husband yesterday...as we are stuck indoors in Florida.
Also, many of the old shows like Bonanza all wore the same clothes for years.

I still enjoy watching Gilliagans Island to this day!! Great memories!
Still have a crush on Dawn Wells.
Gosh. Many days after school as a kid I watched this show. I'm 57 now and probably can tell you every episode. My all time favorite episode was the one with the "Honeybees" I remember reading a quote "Time is free, but it's priceless"
I miss these people so much ,Dawn Wells is so Georgeous I was a little guy looking at this show 👍👍
OMG I SO LOVED THIS AS A CHILD THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE MEMORY
Aren't you a little old then to be talking like a kid then? Lol
Dawn Wells still looks beautiful.. and it looks all natural too.
Dawn Wells is beautiful in every way,and that will never change.😍
Always a haunting experience... so many thanks from a 45year old that remembers sooo many of these wonderful actors that I watched growing up.... Life is a finite thing.. do your best and be kind to one another... I sure hope I'll be smiling past 70 like quite a few featured can... beautiful music too... as always.. perfect!!

kurt russell always has such a great smile and still looks great and so does his wife, goldie hawn......
Jungle Boy lol.
@stangmaster 2 really? i had no idea.....maybe that is why they are still together
Goldie looks horrible
Kurt Russel are NOT married. Never have been. She would mary him in a heart beat if he'd ask. But you bring up marriage to Kurt and he acts like it terrifies him. Its sad that they don't recognize that they have already made that commitment. 🙄🙄
@@annettedeem807 i scrolled back and forth on these cast photos' looking for goldie till i said, duh, she was not even in the show. ha, hollywood, such a shallow existence.

I watch it every Sunday 3 hours of still love this show
Maryann was the prettiest girl on the show!! Still looks good!!😘
No. Ginger was. Everyone wanted maryanne body. Her face was cute. Ginger was beautiful
Sheperd Johnson yea Maryann blew ginger away as far as looks go in my opionion.
That's because Tina Louise had all those plastic surgeries and nothing looks worse than an old woman who has had a ton of plastic surgeries.
Totally agree with Mary Ann. In fact when MeTV did a big thing with the airing of Gilligan's Island she was the host. Still beautiful as ever 💋💋
Really. ? Wow!
all these characters baby-sat me as a child in the 80's on Australian tv.
i had no idea half of them had passed by then.
it was a good time to be a kid 🙌🏼
Dawn Welles still looks fantastic and Ginger, Dawn Welles still looks fantastic!
Maryanne = natural beauty - everlasting
Ginger = nothing without Maybelline - and it shows
TV of yesteryear was much more enjoyable and better than the crap they show on TV today. It made sense and had a storyline. Also it was clean fun. Something for the whole family to watch. Gilligans Island, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Beverly Hillbillies, It's About Time, Nanny and the Professor, Munsters, Adams Family, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Brady Bunch, etc....(60's and 70's, and even the 50's) these shows still remain fresh in the minds of us who grew up with them or saw the Re runs for the first time in the late 70's / early 80's. Or know what they are.
Even the times were different and there was an innocence about them. Unlike today where the world is moving so fast with all these electronic devices and insanity of it all. Some of us do wish we could go back in time to the era we felt most comfortable with and loved. I myself? I don't belong in this era. It's too difficult and crazy. We never had to worry about Terrorism, mass shootings, Covid 19, and the crap we have today back in the late 1900's.
Vitto Scotti was on everything from Bewitched, Hogan,s Heroes, Munsters to Who,s the Boss.
Flying nun, and even golden girls too.
@D Sullivan Yes.
@D Sullivan Yes, he played the Japanese soldier & he was also slated to play a pirate in an already scripted episode for the 4th season that never happened, as the show was abruptly cancelled so that Gunsmoke could keep on living, as it was dying in the time slot that it was in at that time. Sadly, Gilligan's Island was sacrificed for the sake of Gunsmoke. Frankly, I wish they'd have just let the chips fall where they may as far as Gunsmoke was concerned & left Gilligan's Island alone & let it have another season or more.
It just touches my heart in a sad yet heart warming way to see these vids with these memorable actors and actresses from my childhood.
manamal769 yes it did. The music was also very haunting yet beautiful. Makes me think about the aging process. We all need to care for ourselves,
both emotionally and physically.
I loved watching this show in the mid-1960's when I was a child!
Now: Marianne she grew old gracefully!!!)(;
Everyone gets older. There’s no stopping time. Most of these actors and actresses are gone now
Time doesn't wait for anyone.
The music that accompanies your videos is perfect: a combination of eerie, sad and mellow. Thanks for doing these videos!
Thank you for remembering all the guest actors as well as the main cast. RIP to many of them. Thanks for the laughs.
That was well put together! Thanks for sharing! Still love watching Gilligan’s Island! 🌴
Phew! Ginger, man that’s rough 🙀
more than rough!
She looks terrifying
She's freakin in her eighties lol
Shawnda Newby she rivals some of the residents of the Star Wars community
@@mrgehbak6713 😮 wow
This was probably one of the most depressing videos I’ve ever watched in my life. Realizing that a lot of these guys passed away just a tiny bit after they did the reunion on the Late Show in 1988. Thank God for that reunion show. It was the last time I’m going to guess many of them had gotten together. Sad, as you can still catch the show in reruns. The crazy thing is, the reruns of any show sort of lock those people in time and you expect them to live forever like your memories of first watching the shows.
Thank you goes out to the entire cast for the great three years you gave this world this show. You have to wonder how many millions of people you have made smile since the very day the show came on the air until now and who knows how many years in the future.
I was young back then too. Now I'm 65. Still working and enjoying life with my wife of 40+ years married. She's a real sweetheart!
Excellent.
Hello Ms. Wells nice to see you are doing well. Thanks for the memories!!
Gofundme MaryAnn because she pissed her money away.
@@Garsons-oq4lh But it was a friend that started that, unbeknownst to Wells.
@@Garsons-oq4lh you have know way of knowing how she spends, or has spent her money. What kinds of ups and downs she has had, who she has had to support. Or care for. Aging parents alone can cost tons of money. She's elderly now and has her own expenses to deal with . Possibly expensive health issues of her own to pay for. Think before you get nasty and make assumptions about someone you know nothing about.
No one can beat father time. But Marry-ann/ Dawn Wells sure had the genetics to battle strong & defy aging for real long time..
I LOVED this poignant and moving tribute. I particularly enjoyed all of the guest stars, and seeing how their careers blossomed, and the beautiful body of work they all left behind. Thank You Gillian's Island for being there for my childhood.
Now I understand, years and years later, why my 6th grade English teacher, Mrs. Becton, made our whole class memorize and recite before the class, the speech in a Shakespeare Play, "All the World's a Stage."
