I don't know how most people feel about him but I think John Hindhaugh is a great commentator. He can be a little dry at times but his passion for auto racing clearly shows.
Very knowledgeable, very entertaining, very professional and very passionate. There can't be a better person to commentate these races and in fact that goes to the whole RLM crew. Whether it's Paul "Trussers" Truswell, Jonny Palmer, Graham Goodwin, Bruce Jones or Jim Roller - all are great.
I understand that. For me, its not about where they race, its about the fact that NA$CAR has gone out of their way to produce manufactured, lame ass racing. For me, this is real racing
NASCAR continues to come up with countless gimmicks to try and manufacture good racing, but fans are not buying into it, which is great to see. IMSA is striving with just great overall racing in all classes, keep it up IMSA.
Looks like there was a lot of positive feedback from the video, but I believe last years was a more polished piece. Some of the clips were low quality, and an overuse of the slow-mo didn't work right, IMO. Nevertheless, thanks for this!
I REALLY want the Corvette C8, Ford GT, Nissan GT-R, Aston DB11, Lamborghini Aventador, and McLaren P1 to all compete in a new version of FIA GT1 that can also run in the IMSA series as, say, GTS (GT supercar?). Raise the horsepower cap to 700, lower the weight minimum to 1200kg, and allow some truly insane speeds. That way you can eliminate the PC class (which I REALLY don't like). Instead of having open-top pure racecars not based on a production chassis in a class all of their own, why not replace them with that top tier of GT supercars that live above all others? Then you could let the DP cars run wild with full LMP1 technology. It would be really interesting to see a 900- or 1000-hp twin turbo Cadillac DP car that conforms to LMP1 regs. Also, unpopular opinion: I REALLY hate BOP. It ruins the whole point of all the engineering and fabrication that goes in these machines.
Whoever edits these videos is an absolute professional, absolutely outstanding work, great job!
Dom Parkinson Agree, too bad the same can't be said for the app developer...
