formula one could learn from imsa. I'm 17 and because they streamed it I watched the whole thing (my first time whatching too) streaming is the best way to get more people into raceing

Agreed. I was using a VPN to watch the IMSA stream here in the US. Really was mad that FOX had complete control of the US Stream, but it is what it is.
Let me first express my gratitude for uploading this race for those of us who are die-hard IMSA fans, that were unable to watch this live. Secondly, I would also like to commend you for the best coverage i.e. broadcast professionals, the racing world has. The depth of knowledge, and their unbridled enthusiasm for this sport is a God send. Thank you, from a Pennslyvania boy who hates nascar.

I've done a lot of complaining, but truthfully I enjoy watching these events. I sincerely appreciate them posting these races. I am old enough to remember when it was common for sporting events to be shown on tv in a taped format, live was a luxury. Endurance races are tough for everyone, including the fans. After the fact, this race was pretty good.
I was so upset that I couldn't stream this from IMSA...thank you for this!

Thank you for continuing to provide full race replays IMSA! Truly awesome to be able to watch it here! If I could request one thing look into adjusting the volume when using onboard camera feed it becomes nearly impossible to listen to the commentary. Other than that it is awesome and I look forward to the rest of this race (only 1h in) and the 2018 season!

Thank you so much for uploading this! If I may offer some constructive criticism for the next race, can you please turn down the mic levels of the cars during the onboard shots? It can be nearly impossible to hear/understand the commentary sometimes, and I can't fix it by turning up the volume because that makes the engine sounds louder too. Again, thank you for uploading these videos! I can't wait to watch the next one!

IMSA should allow the stream in the US as well. The viewership on tv dropped this year already and may drop more in following years.
Had to watch this race again
I just watched WEC races for the 1st time (Spa, Le Mans, and Silverstone), and I discovered I like endurance racing. This is my 1st IMSA race (1/2 hour in), and wow! It's a different vibe that I can't describe, and it'll take me some time to work out the categories, but I love the look of these prototypes, and it's great to see familiar names & cars. (Alonzo is here too? :D ) Go Ford GT's!!!
Edit: I'm losing patience with this production crew. We spend more than 2 minutes onboard an unidentified prototype when the commentators are discussing GT, or at least they were before switching to the onboard camera. After that I couldn't hear them, other than odd phrases like "gone off." Coming out of the car, I have no idea what the guy's on about, but it sounds important because he's shouting "That comes off!" I wish I could say the production was better for Le Mans, but it wasn't. Nobody is balancing the audio. That's very simple. Nobody is coordinating the video with the commentators. Grr! I like the race, but these are things that make it hard to watch.
The issue is they are overlaying a radio broadcast over a TV broadcast the us TV broadcast was better

There are dozens of reasons why someone would have issues streaming. We'll be adding a self-help doc in the coming weeks for visitors to use in addressing any issues they may experience when streaming.
Love IMSA, always such hot cars! Does anyone out there remember the Los Angeles Times Grand Prix of Endurance at Riverside International Raceway? Was anyone out there present at any of these races. The prototypes were incredible to watch!

brilliant coverage live and quick upload, I was expecting albuquerque or conway cars to win, ford gt lm has always been the best and lamborghini was fast and showed great reliability as well, great race
as a Canadian i feel we are very underserved in N.America we should see IMSA,WRC,Touring car we all these sports channels and yet we get so little coverage! i do enjoy F1,Indycar but we should get so much more!

Nice in-car Telemetry visual.. can you add Rpm Mph Telemetry. That will bring fans closer to their favorite driver's car's and track's, such as Daytona one of my favorites,le man's,watkins Glen..the speed's the gear shifts the mph is better than lap times. IMSA will be the leaders in motorsports viewers ratings will increase 80% we wanna see how fast the car's go
And plus for future endurance car packages, put two standing rank things on the cars one for their class and the other for their overall rank.
I want to be fair by adding that my assessment applies to ALL of the series, worldwide. IMSA just happens to be the most recent case. Hopefully there is better use of the BOP system in the Bathurst 12 hour race coming up this weekend. Bathurst has had some very competitive racing in the past. They could serve as a model of what competitive racing looks like.

try the DTM type live score tower..Makes name is more important in sportscar racing..makes logo should always be on the live scoring to be able to understand race positions...Car number,driver,makers logo...

jack coffey probably copy written, so they wouldn't be able to, or they'd only be able to make the video available in the US as FOX doesn't want the Fox Sport footage shown outside the US
the broadcasts they used to upload were the foxbroadcasts, so it wasnt a problem in the past.

Race is live please this year
So why dont you guys consider the two halves of the tri oval as the last turn as you are coming in to finish the lap and turn 1 when you start a lap just as you cross the finish line. That is what I think would make much more sense. Or maybe consider the entire trioval as turn 1, and put the start/finish line about halfway from NASCAR turn 4 and the trioval. That would I think would make way more sense same thing with what I said about the last turn and as you cross the start finish line start a lap with turn 1 of the course.

@IMSA official My advice, reduce the ticket cost at Daytona because it's really expensive, At least for children under 15 were giving free entry. My other advice is you guys doing some donuts in the Miami to gain attention for people to watch this race more.

Can I add a qualifying request? Why don't you do all 3 qualifying sessions and blend them into 1 qualifying session? So instead of starting all 3 classes with different green flag start times, have a mixed starting grid. Also why not do it in the middle of the night 2 nights before the actual race. I think that would make more sense.
Whenever the cars use their break it sounds like a buzzer of some sort is being sounded.

No, they were not absent. The Whelen Corvette competed in the GT class and there were the Corvettes DP's before the merger
