@@anuragsingha4557 lol, In advanced I didnt even get a rank coz I missed the math cutoff by 1 mark....but bitsat was Gods Boon...I wouldn't like to tell my bitsat score to ppl I dont know...It might be something someone may envy...or if thought in the negative manner, they may assume I may have UFM to get my score in bitsat :/

I would suggest one thing do not take ece or any other Electronic course as career ,jst because u got a seat with the cut off,Only if there was interest in you take the seat,Don't make the same mistake I made, and with COVID u can't even get the interest to take these courses serious!Choice is yours.CS in any other institution(keeping interests in mind)>>>>>>>>(ece in bits jst because you have cleared cut off)🥲

My brother who's in IIT Jodhpur chemical got more than average package of a cs student there so he's suggesting me for the latter part
its a difficult choice, although I always prefer for dual, its very expensive!
coming to IIT J vs BITS, BITS is a better brand anyday, unless you're having CSE.
Your brother might be an extreme cases, and trying to judge yourself as that one exception case might be wrong.
try to assess the situation considering the average scenario and then try to beat it when you're in college, that's the best deal.

I am sure that all the dualites must be working hard to get at least circuital branches but still around 40% gets Mech/ Chem/ Manufacturing in dual. So wanted to know the reason behind it as i only read that dualite can get Phoenix branches easily.
not really, people do get distracted, there are so much opportunities, stuff going on in college, its difficult to sometimes to concentrate on exams

I am getting mech in bits goa currently and will maybe get bits goa economics (just 10 marks away hoping for the best , because doing mech in bits is not feasible for me). My other options are Lnmiit cse (median 13lakh) and ece or ee in nits(not top 7). Am not going for nit mostly due to placement issues and i wanna pursue cs. I had cs in MIT as well but Lnmiit is better Placement wise. So does going to bits goa eco outweighs Lnmiit cse by a lot. Last year due to covid i couldn't appear for 2 mains and bits and advance, so am already running late so i am not keen on taking a dual degree. Will i regret not taking goa eco a lot in the future? Lnmiit fees will be 20.7 lakh, cs average is 15lakh and median is 13 currently and growing every year
LNMIIT is respected college and its CSE will be a safe choice than falling in to the trap of dual of BITS with no surety.
i left LNMIIT CSE for BITS Goa Bio. While I was in top 1% of my batch, your mileage might vary!
@@somratdutta You made a right choice that time but LNMIIT has gained lot of acceptance now. The peer group and atmosphere is also good in the college. So I suggested it thinking that it will surely give better results in lesser fees as he is getting CSE there and things will not be great incase he gets other branches in BITS after spending huge amount.

@@arshdeepkochhar46 maybe not in terms of cse and ece placements but as compared to other branches placements, Lnmiit 's cse is better. It's cheaper as well. Taking a course if 35lakh and getting a placement of 20lakh average is not better than taking a course costing 20 lakh and giving back 15 lakh as average

Hey brother, I got MSc bio at Hyd campus. But I won't be able to join bits coz of the fees. Most probably I would join IEM Kolkata CSE instead of mechanical engineering at JU.
It's very sad and I am literally crying that I can't join such a prestigious college. My parents are not even agreeing on taking loans. 😭😭
My BITS dream came to an end and shattered into pieces. The campus, placements, alumni etc. my dreams all dead 😭😭

Bro join jadavpur mechanical. Many students gets placed at software companies at even plastic engineering type of brach with very high packages. Software companies will allow you if you're skilled and then you can write gate cse even after your mechanical background with jadavpur tag will is a iit level college

Not possible within 4th iteration. Till 6th iteration, I think you will get it for sure

yeah a lot of people go for HS to top colleges, MIT, Ivy League's from BITS every year, many study with 100% scholarships, bits these days is enough of a tag that foreign professor's and universities recognise.
-this is verified by a senior who's doing masters from top 1% university at 100% scholarship

Generally same branch is referred however u can do it But i heard that getting in top colleges in US is difficult with different branch.

I have options of IIT jodhpur or maybe Patna electrical eng. And Msc eco at hyd. I am also very sure of cse or ee as my dual. But yes the risk and fees part is scary. What do you think? Is it worth it?
If you're sure about Eco CSE, it should be a better option.
Also, being a female you have more upperhand as there's a lot of diversity hiring in top MNCs.
I would suggest you to go for top 7 iits with lower branches instead of IIT Jodhpur or Patna, even IIT Hyderabad or IIT Indore mechanical will be better than those. Gen 2 IITs and Gen3 IITs are not that established yet, Bits Eco might be a good option but you can always take CSE as your minor or do dual degree too at top 7 IITs.

Yes man it is.
You need something 9.8 for cs and ECE something around 9.4 cg
So like it's easy realtively in ece or mech
The criteria is You need to have Cg higher than top 5 people of that batch in terms of Cg in first year then you can get transferred.

1. MSC Economics- Pilani Campus
2. MSC Maths- Pilani Campus
3. MSC Physics- Pilani Campus
4. MSC Chemistry- Pilani Campus
5. MSC Bio- Pilani Campus
6. MSC Economics- Goa Campus
7. MSC Maths- Goa Campus
8. MSC Physics- Goa Campus
9. MSC Chemistry- Goa Campus

11. MSC Economics - Hyd Campus
12. MSC Maths- Hyd Campus

So if I get MSC Bio- Hyd at the 3rd iteration, but fot the 4th iteration the cut off of MSC Bio Goa
Even if your marks is more than the cutoff of msc eco hyd still you wont get that.
You will get something in pilani,like msc chem.
In your case where marks is less than msc chem at hyd but more than msc bio at pilani then you will get msc bio at pilani and in next iterations you wont get anything in goa and hyd campus(not even economics), you will get something in pilani campus only.

Dual phy/chem/food tech at bit mesra, and
Cse from tier 3 clgs like kiet ghaziabad, akgec ,etc.

Median is way less for Warangal is 9 lakhs, and yes average data usually takes time to be sure of it takes 1 year say if you admit in 2022 then data of 2020 is correct as many times they talk about season 1 or so.

BITS Goa/Hyd CS vs IIIT Allahbad IT vs DTU/NSUT CS
if you want expouser then BITS or hard-core cs IIIT A otherwise don't make sense. If you want expouser and fees is issue then DTU.
choose btw 2nd and 3rd ....all three are fantastic choices so one should see other aspects like fees(I mean fees is literally 3.5x)

Pilani is old and main and hyderabad is growing better than goa. Hyd will take over goa. So for 2022 batch pilani then hyderbad then goa will be a better choice

One of my friend got top nit cse and bits Pilani Pilani campus cse he choose bits despite high fees he took SBI loan for tution fees and other expenses and his family is paying his hostel mess fees and all and he is trying hard every semester for merit cum need scholarship for saving tution fee.....!

Reading in between lines. Bits top branches definitely worth. But bits lower branches esp duals not worth compared to CSE at other good pvt colleges like MIT.
you have no knowledge actually, there's literally no difference between a person having dual CSE and single CSE, some cases dual CSE has better placements, i think i need to talk about this!

Even the lowest package at BITS/IITs are more than the average CS package at MIT/VIT etc. So even Manufacturing at BITS or Civil at IIT Kgp is much better than CS at tier 2 colleges

Try to find out if you can sit for all IT placements at IITKGP, if so, you should go for it.
Would be a hard work to study IT aside, but yeah.
Dual always comes at its risk, I know 350+ bitsat scorers not having CS, and people like me with lowest scores have CSE, can't judge by BITSAT scorers.

Bits chemical would be a better alternative if you want a strong brand & alumni base + exposure
IIIT-Bhagalpur(?) stands nowhere in comparison to this, and yeah, opportunities in non-core are also good in BITS. So, placements shouldn't be an issue

The engineering college professors who r friend of my father advised to go for cse than college. I want to go to bits. I took a drop for that but my bad luck I couldn't score high.
I was getting civil/ chemical last year.

So it doesn't matter where you go.
Also getting Cg is difficult in Goa
Like if you get 8.4 cg you will get 9+ cg easily in Pilani or Hyderabad
