You know what Varun, just yesterday I had made the decision to leave my college in my semester 3 and to do video editing full time. My college had shackled me up in assignments, journals, Internal practicals, External practicals, and End sem exams. I never felt like I was learning anything at all and all I was learning was to how to be an efficient machine, a worthy clerk. Now that I have told my parents, they agreed but were not so happy about it. I feel liberated now, I also want to join cohort 2 but I don't know whether my father would agree with it or not but still I am happy that I have left my college.

Sir i am a 2nd year student in SRM. The college has a 75℅ attendance policy. I never wanted to join this college but due to some distractions in the covid year. I did not get my desired college. No one in my college talks about entrepreneurship at all. Everybody hates to go to the classes and really just study before the exams. The rest of the semester is a big big time waste in life. I do not attend college on a regular basis and that's the reason I am working ahead of everyone in my class. But you know what ? It never makes me happy one bit that I am better than everyone in my class Or even semester because it just shows that a person who isn't even attending the college and not even studying for the exams even for a day can score FAR better than the others because the others are just not thinking about life at all. They don't question the important questions like the purpose they serve in life or do they even have a passion for what they are doing? I study online materials btw which are in abundance on the internet. You can learn machine learning from the God of AI. Andrew NG on course era.. There are good DSA courses on RUclips. And whatever you want to study there it is. And that reassures me that I can still turn my life around dramatically.. All you basically need is a laptop, internet and some good friends for proxy. You are an inspiration but I wanna be my own light. Thank you for everything you are doing.
it is totally unexpected from the aevy TV......but Ishant Sharma is such a genius RUclipsr.....that a normal content creator or normal audience can't even imagine....and the money which he is making at such young age...is just fire...I have learnt so much from him and also implementing his knowledge in my own business too.
Not at all interested in building some social media agency and call it a startup like Ishaan Sharma, but this is something i relate with.... I was heavily judged by my friends/peers for not attending classes and was publically made fun of by my teacher.. they called me an idiot meanwhile today they don't know how to write one line of code and i'm far more skilled than they are and earning 10x more than them

Wow. Being a Professor in an University (and also an Entrepreneur), who has been constantly talking (researching, and publishing papers) about the changes required, innovation required in Formal Education Systems, I am amazed by how BITS Pilani is doing this. I am surprised that this model exists, and I would really like to see in depth the overall analysis of the College doing as a whole, before this System was in Place and after this system got it place. I want to see the hardcore data, which could help stoneheaded professors of yesterday to understand the situation better, in numbers! Also, more and more EdTech solutions are required which could democratize education, especially for Tier2&3 Indians. Bravo to BITS Pilani, and bravo to AevyTV always coming up with such amazing case studies. Though, I am surprised that you people didn't study or showcased the Business side of the College. It would have been truely insightful to other colleges/universities to see that how Profitable such Education models can be, and not just in terms of social service. I would love to see Part 02 of this video, where you specifically talk about the Business model of this college, and maybe talk to some stakeholder/s within the system, to get more insights. A lot to ask, but I feel if someone can do it, it is you people! :D
Um it's a non profit.Obviously I think you know the full form of this college which is Birla Institute of Science and Technology. And the name Birla doesn't really need to make profits from the college.
Man really needed this kinda video. The assignment of colleges sucks not just that The MU (Mumbai University) sucks bec there are a whole lot reason but this, they only publishes the timetable 4days before exams & exams ends in 10 days damm. I also try alot of things but due to the college & the attendence criteria just sucks. I hope this will open eyes of many people from India. A much needed video Thank you man for making it. ❤️❤️😍
Okay i totally agree with u about the assignments part i have not used any of those in real life atleast till now It all depends on what the scenario is ,one can't put a standard formula in a scenario which is diff for others
Great video…❤, really loved the way how you explained the condition of Indian college students and how the other colleges need to learn from BITS and teach their students how to become a better version of theirselves instead of just becoming a copy paste machine…
You had never heard of BITS? what bubble were you living in sir? you graduated from manipal in 2015, did you not appear or prepare for any of the engineering entrance examinations for top schools? BITS was quite popular even in 2010-2011 (your preparation phase) which you would have known had you actually studied
Me watching as a 6 CG wala BITSIAN 😵💫... i agree bits has these many facilities... but for someone who can not maintain their CGPA in first 2 years taking any such risk becomes really tough
I think this video is a little bit ironic. I know you guys are mostly refering to BITS Pilani, Pilani here but I'm not sure if the way BITS is made seem here is really that true. Don't get me wrong, BITS Pilani is my dream college but the reason why I felt like this is ironic is because I remember watching a video by Ishan himself explaining about why he DROPPED out of BITS Goa because of the strain of juggling college - youtube and his company Markitup and If I'm right he mentioned that he didn't really recieve much support when he brought up his situation in college which ultimately led to him quitting college during 3rd year. Also lets not forget about the hefty tuition fees here (which is definitely worth it but but hella expensive compared to IITs). But understand that his circumstances were alot different when compared Great video!
I am a bit surprised that BITS didn't have more entrep. than IITs. Even without these new reforms, the crowd of the college is generally from among tha top 0.000001% of Indian population. These people are westernised, confident, rich and have much knowledge and exposure to world . Their inheritance, in terms if guidance , connections, money further enhance their chances of success compared to a significant percentage of IIT population.

Mannnn more colleges should adopt this.
But till that happens, it’s best students take reign in their own hands and try exploring rather than succumbing to the rigid curriculum and being complacent.
I think you might have enough savings to join by your self right
Any way if you perform well you would get the job right then
I am in grade 9 and my dream college is BITS. I first got introduced to BITS by Ishan Bhai , I just got really attached to the Freedom and advantage your have being an entrepreneur and studying over other colleges. You are doing great work Aevy Team, Keep it up!😎😎

Class 11 ya 12 mai bahut time hai college think karne ke liye. 9th mai abhi se college ki kaun worry karta hai thats what im trying to say. But if he has a goal to join Bits from that start then thats appreciable
The assignment thing you explained, our professor said the same when giving assignment "you will learn a lot doing this". And you made it clear..
I am in same situation bro , same college 1 st year
me too same, im from srm ap
This video is a shocker!
An eye opener
A turning point
A milestone
A breakthrough!
it is totally unexpected from the aevy TV......but Ishant Sharma is such a genius RUclipsr.....that a normal content creator or normal audience can't even imagine....and the money which he is making at such young age...is just fire...I have learnt so much from him and also implementing his knowledge in my own business too.
@Aevy TV, great video. One correction, at 1:45, the Anu Menon shown (standup comedian) is not the one who is from BITs
Not at all interested in building some social media agency and call it a startup like Ishaan Sharma, but this is something i relate with.... I was heavily judged by my friends/peers for not attending classes and was publically made fun of by my teacher.. they called me an idiot meanwhile today they don't know how to write one line of code and i'm far more skilled than they are and earning 10x more than them
Aryan kumar, you pursued coding while in college or dropped out? Is degree necessary for remote jobs in coding?
@@mpl1234 no its' not necessary at all, but i did not drop out since my college was mostly completed remotely... 2 years remote due to covid... so it gave me a lot of time to learn coding
@@aryankumar87771 Yes.. It was a blessing in disguise for those who want to focus on coding and don't have the hindrance of going to college and the demands involved.

When you are talking about our farmers, local shopkeepers who are running their small business and make living through their profit margin and then you mentioned that they are also our Indian Entrepreneur, then I literally got the GOOSEBUMPS! Even in my class, one of close friends who is s Rudra, he also fond of running a startup and entrepreneurship, advised to focus on our skillset and side hustle which we are currently doing besides our academics so that we can build up our risk taking abilities from base line. I'm not a college student, still studying in school(commerce stream) but tbh here, this video motivates me to go one step closer in my startup idea which I already drawn in my mind!Varun Sir ,you are true inspiration!

Everything Is Good about BITS Except It's High Fees 🙂
Paying Fees That High Is really Tough For a Middle Class Family.
Yeah that's the big reason that many aspirants don't focus for Bitsat
As far as I know there are more than 75% students getting some or other type of scholarships at BITS.
Not really their fault, as private universities don't receive any subsidization from indian government. All that extra fees is taken care of by central government when we talk about IITs
@@turbo11 facts
@@turbo11Ya its true im in bits pilani I don't think its too expensive i mean it's expensive but this is need of them to run the university and who can't afford they can take scholar loan
As a current BITSian, I'm so happy to see this!! Adding to the list, "Postman" is another tech startup from BITS that became a unicorn recently.
Postman is awesome , Many Big companies using postman ,even mine too.
BITS has 0% reservation whereas IITs have 50%+ reservation! BITS beats many top IITs and it’s curriculum is also comparable to foreign universities unlike the 20-25 year old curriculum in most colleges.
probably a rich guy
Akshit Sachdeva Lmao, your worried about fees when the average package is above 20 LPA. Chill kid, Chill.
Really impressed but it kind of seemed like you were heavily favouring BITS in all matters. Would be nice if you could mention some drawbacks of BITS as well. Not saying that you were not neutral, but just saying that what I felt is that this seemed more of a praising BITS video than a review of the college.
Anyways as always loved the video and got to know a lot of new things. Your videos are always amazing and maintain a standard. Cheers!

Every college must learn from BITS. The zero percent attendance rule will save a lot of time from wasting time for wanted things.
But we can't expect this from a tier 3 college.
See while I agree this college is going in the right direction, unfortunately this college is also very expensive. But kudos to the BITs group anyway
09:59 listen carefully from here.. GOLDEN WORDS. No one could say better than this! 👍🏽
The video is good tho would like to point out that the policy about giving a year off for startups is about 12 years old. It's only that moneycontrol wrote an article about it recently and so it came into public purview.
I myself am a student of BITS Pilani
I have been writing this assignment for 4 hours now, took a break to have dinner and watched this video.
I know it's utterly useless and a complete waste of time but I still gotta finish it, tomorrow's the deadline, gotta manage the shit-tier college I enrolled in. Thanks for reminding me again.
BITS should wave off 75% boards marks rule too so that students who scored less in boards but get good marks in jee and bitsat can also take admission

I will be giving the Jee exam along with Bits exam

You had never heard of BITS? what bubble were you living in sir? you graduated from manipal in 2015, did you not appear or prepare for any of the engineering entrance examinations for top schools?
But understand that his circumstances were alot different when compared
Great video!
Doing a great job by sharing knowledge about our education system.♥♥♥
I am a bit surprised that BITS didn't have more entrep. than IITs.
Even without these new reforms, the crowd of the college is generally from among tha top 0.000001% of Indian population.
These people are westernised, confident, rich and have much knowledge and exposure to world . Their inheritance, in terms if guidance , connections, money further enhance their chances of success compared to a significant percentage of IIT population.

Bits is an amazing college to have next level changes along with generations and becoming the future of India
hey I am from a tier 3 college and I know the exact difference between IIT BITS and other 99%colleges
coming to IITS these have the top minds and they are already very much hardworking and top 1%students of the country so it is sure that some will get succeed
coming to bits although the barrier of entry is not as tough as IITS the barrier lies in the fact that colleges like BITS are only be affordable to privileged and wealthy, the ones who start their startups from bits are most who are enough wealthy to pay of their fees coming to middle-class student in bits he would never think about it as he have to repay his loan by himself he would work his a** off to get a good placement and work again for 2 years to repay his loan
coming to other 99% of colleges these have students who are neither privileged nor genius they have no idea about what should they do in their career 95% of students from these colleges realize about their career and start coding from 3rd year.Very few about 1% would be placed in good companies and about0.1% would start a startup
*what I mean by privileged is that they have their parents are in good positions they are equipped with technology from a very young age and they have the unfair advantage
I know many people will have an negative opinion about it but this is the sad reality
if you want to be successful you should have an unfair advantage that nobody has, well all 8 billion people cannot be successful and wealthy
Now here are some facts. This comment should be pinned
@@ilikememes9052 Lol. You think getting into BITS is that easy! Had it been that easy, every billionare's son would study in BITS. I am 100% sure that even if I give 1 crore rupees to this guy, he would still not be able to crck BITSAT exam. It was even tougher a few years back when seats were less. Scoring 330+ and getting a B.E. seat is no cakewalk.I am from BITS and all my batchmates including me had seat offers from IITs. It's just that the branches we got were comparatively lower preference ones like Civil, Chemical, etc.
You are saying that the only thing stopping you from getting into BITS is money, right..Give BITSAT and try scoring 300+. Lets see if a Tier 3 college guy can keep his words. Lol
@@zimablue6900 he never said it's easy to get in it it's tough very tough but affording it's fees is another unfair advantage that he is talking about a middle class guy with his family responsibility will only think of working hard and getting a good job. What's so difficult in understanding this fact?????? 🤔
@@hardrock9199 Go read that comment again. I don't know if his English is weak, but from what he has written, it can be clearly inferred that he finds money to be the sole reason stopping him from getting a seat in BITS. The guy clearly states that the barrier for entry into IIT is doing hardwork and having brains, while the barrier for BITS is high fees only. BITS has nothing to do with brains or hardwork it seems. I guess Tier 3 guys who lack critcl thinking are really getting trggrd here. Lol.
