How to Grow Oyster Mushroom Kits At Home

- Ever wondered how oyster mushroom grow kits work? Well wonder no longer!
I take you through an Oak and Spore Mushroom Grow kit, and show you what to do, how they work, and what to expect when the conditions are optimal.
Our kits are made in house at our mushroom farm in Christchuch, New Zealand. To get the kits growing, all you need to do it tear away the perforated area on the front, cut an 'X' in the inner bag to expose the mushroom mycelium. Then you need to lightly spray or mist with water a 2-4 times per day, depending on how dry your conditions are. After about 1 week the mushrooms will start growing, and after 2 crops you mushrooms should be about ready to harvest! We say to aim for 2 crops or flushes, and upwards of 1kg of mushrooms is obtainable. Sometimes even more!
