Now I know why it's called a face plate - my pareidolia keeps me seeing faces in it 🙂 Good job, Chris!
Right? I keep seeing Dr. Eggman from Sonic.
I see only alarmed/surprised faces...so unlike the music...>>grooves to muzak
The clock maker's mustache plate!
That’s the most surprised piece you’ve made 😮
Nice work Chris.
Stunning, thank you.
Beautiful work, even though I don’t have a clue what it’s for.
Awesome!!! Greetings from South Africa!
Looks like a surprised mustachioed man
Groovy!
What do you do with the tools you make that help facilitate operations like this? Do you have a box for "this was made for a specific part and is now waste material" and one for "this was made for a specific part but has potential for general use" and maybe one for "this was made for a specific part but with more machining could be used for a similar operation on a different part"?
👍👌👏 Congratulations 🎉 That's quite a perfect alien emoji! 😁 ;-)
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
Proxxon 🙏👌
aluminum/nickel bronze is one of my favourite alloys for making knife blades. They can be quench hardened in water for a somewhat reasonable hardness. It's of course nothing like steel, but it has a nice color and is very original.
2:10 Pareidolia?
Where do you get your raw material from?
👍😎
Hi Chris! What Bandsaw model do you have for cutting metal?
nevermind! just looked at the video description! hahaha
Yeah, he can free-hand a near perfect circle on a band saw ('cept the four nubbins) better than I can turn one on a lathe...
I feel guilty watching these videos. I am not worthy
this only worked because no one ever told you you can't accurately machine aluminum bronze, its for bearings, its so slippery that even with the sharpest tools the metal will slip by the cutting edge without cutting as deep as you set the tool, drilled and even reamed holes always come out undersize, its a nightmare to machine, and if he had known this it would have been a disaster. IMHO, YMMV, VWPBL, yada, yada, yada 🙂 !!!
You know, I ask my hands to do the things that yours can do, but they just refuse to do it properly.
I punish them when they do not do things properly by making them do them over and over again until they finally get it right... Phew, they are slow learners.
