Am i alone in thinking that Japanese people live in Paradise, i mean i know they got their problems and such but still...they all look so relaxed, happy and calm enjoying their city and doing their thing. So clean, no crime, they respect each other. With all the violence, disrespect and hate going on in almost every country on this planet these people seems to have and do all the "Do's and Don'ts" Japan 💚
The civility, the mutual respect, the cultured way of life make Japan unique and so lovable！My dream city, home is Kyoto；no chance to work or emigrate there but still hope to live there a few months out of a year.
What a civilised country. Still being able to walk the streets at night without getting your head stoved in for the loose change in your pocket. We miss that in the west.
When we visited japan last August, we stayed in Ueno for a few days. It's a great place. Next to a park with several great museums, lots of shopping, food, and just one stop from the main tokyo station, so its easy to get everywhere. I'd get up in the morning and visit Ameyayokocho before the shops open. At night it's full of people eating. August was hot. We drank our body weight in pocari sweat. The cicadas are everywhere, singing all the time. Also if you read or watched Mitsuboshi Colors, it takes place around here. Whale Factory is based on a real store, Garakuta Boeki.

Many Japanese People are so very well relaxed wearing Face Masks at all times and I totally love how Japanese People look with Face Coverings on at all times while they're all in Japan and it's just brilliant. Hi there. I go to Tokyo at least twice a year, mainly for business trip or family trip. The reasons why I prefer to stay in Ueno are: 1) East side of Tokyo seems to be more traditional 2) easy access to Disney resort compared to stay in west side of Tokyo (Big fan of Disney!) 3) express train to Narita Airport 4) nice museums nearby 5) market highly recommended, you can buy fruit, snacks, drugs, goods for skin care, etc..at much lower prices 6)hotels near Ueno are small but reasonable 7)Ueno station is a big one, so it’s very convenient to depart to your next stop 8)if I need to work in Bigsight, it won’t take me too much time. 9)how can you miss the cherry blossoms in Ueno Park in Spring? (Free admission) 10)If I want to go somewhere very luxurious, Ginza is only a few stops away Hope I have answered your question~

Thanks for this, this'll be an interesting time capsule of sorts. The market streets are so empty without the usual flood of tourists. I stayed in this area back in 2018 for two weeks and you could barely move down those streets!

I a so grateful for your videos because I can trek to familiar and to unfamiliar areas. Of course, Ueno is very familiar to me, and I felt as if I could have stopped in a couple of my favorite ramen shops.
