Great video. I agree this is a wonderful rose to have. It is almost always in bloom and fragant. I got mine at Edmunds in March of 2024.-they still have today. In general, Kordes roses are very healthy and this one is no exception.
So beautiful!! I LOVE pink roses. Thanks so much for posting this video as I ordered this rose from Palatine Nursery in Canada. It's sold out now, unfortunately. I'm looking forward to seeing how she does next year in my Zone 5 garden.
I saw them at clearance of Lowes and was surprise to find such a fine rose there! I bought 2 of them, whose flowers were almost done. I deadheaded and planted them on the ground. Surprisingly only one week later they started to produce lots of shoots, and buds appeared about one more week after that. How vigorous they are!
Your garden is beautiful. The last few years I’ve been buying a bag of earthworm castings from my local Costco in the spring. The coloration on my roses has never been better since adding that.
Hi, so lovely! Have you seen another hot pink rose from David Austin called Princess Alexandra of Kent? I am asking since you have many DA roses too :) Wonder if Raspberry cupcake still beats PAoK in terms of color and fragrance.
Yes, I have a few Princess Alexandra of Kent roses which are not as healthy for me so far but it is still early: Maybe they need more time to settle in. Flowers are bigger on PAOK but I think RC has better fragrance so far.
@@FumblingwithFlowers I see! Thanks for the input! I should try out Raspberry Cupcake for sure. It is out of stock in many websites but surely it will be available sometime in the future. Also, how thorny is Raspberry Cupcake compared to other roses you have?
@@Maru0118 I'd say no worse than most other roses but much less thorny than Gertrude Jekyl and prickly 'Blanc Double de Coubert' rugosa. Always check Home Depot for roses and local garden centers for the best deals.
The strongest rose I've *consistently* experienced in my area is Gertrude Jekyll. It's fragrance is more Old Rose aka Damask while this rose is more Fruity. 😍🌹
Very nice! Definitely takes time for them to settle in. Do any of your roses form nice hips? Mine don’t, but I’ve seen some and I’m jealous. Look out for Japanese beetles. I’ve been finding a lot this year.
Thanks! Rugos set hips but I've been deadheading trying for a rebloom. I have a purplish rugosa that is setting hips right now. I decided not to deadhead it because it's not a great rebloomer anyway. Some can be very nice.

I'm so happy you can enjoy it too! It is proving to be a special one.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
What zone are you in?
Thanks Zone 6

Thanks. It's a work in progress. Nice. I will keep that in mind. 🙏🌹

3:30 which one is the most fragrant then?

I share your obsession...I bought one rose plant...then another...then another...
You understand ❤️

Is it black spot resistant?
Yes! So far it is has been the most healthy rose in my garden.
Where do you purchase Raspberry Cup cake Rose?
Check local garden centers and even Home Depot you can get lucky.
I bought 2 of them recently from Lowes for $14 each (clearance)
@@huynguyentoantin wow
This is a KORDES rose, not a David Austin !!!
Yep, you can see that in the description and in the video I only compared it to David Austin. Happy Saturday! 👍🌹
