As far as blossom color, it takes time for the bud to saturate in color. For example, the roses in fall usually have much better color because the buds take weeks to open instead of a few days in summer. I find it easier to just squish the rose slugs and aphids. It’s only a couple weeks that they’re very active. That one by the house is not looking good. I’d trim all that dead stuff and hopefully it’ll leaf out again. 🤞🏻
