- Had to get the bulk of the grass and mud off of the bad boy maverick. Feels good to get it cleaned up a bit.

Good video - common sense. Your mower will last at least 20 years with that level of cleaning and regular maintenance... I just bought my Maverick, will use it for first time this week! Retiring a 20-year-old Craftsman garden tractor that is still in great shape taking care of it like you do.
I hope that’s the case! Enjoy your new Maverick!
I just bought a Maverick like yours with 40 hrs on it. Looking forward to Spring so I can use it. I put grease zerks in the six deck anti scalp wheels. I think it helps, they go around many times. 11-23- 23
Nice modification!
Using water to clean mower - This is a word for word instruction from Bad Boy service manual...
It is recommended that you use an air hose or blower to remove dust and debris from the mower, to ensure there is not a buildup of grass on the mower deck and engine compartment, which could become a fire hazard. If you must wash the mower, ensure you run the engine to operating temp to dry water and engage the blades to spin off any standing water on the pulleys. Avoid spraying water onto electrical components and bearings, to prevent premature failure of these parts.
The lawn mowers sit outside in the rain at most dealers
This may be true for most dealers. My dealer keeps most of theirs inside. I keep mine inside and it has been holding up well, so I will keep doing what is working for me. To each, their own.
Nice mower, but I am not washing mine,
I have replaced too many deck bearings over the years,
I just blow it off
My bad boy elite with Kawasaki engine is a great mower
I generally only wash it a couple times a year and then spin the blades up to sling off any sitting water on the pulleys….4 years old and no bearing noise so far. You have a great machine too! Thanks for commenting. I appreciate your feedback
I wash my garden tractor this way 2-3 times per year, only replaced spindles due to physical crack (not rust) at 18 years. As long as you run mower blades afterward to spin dry, then leave in direct sunlight to finish, rust will not be an issue.
