      @RamadaArtist I can't say it was intentional I just built, painted and decal'd it with more or less the original colors. It's definitely 7/11 inspired as this 3rd party kit was a bootleg of Bandai's collaboration with 7/11.

    I bought my first Ali kit a couple weeks ago. It's a WM HG Astray looking thing with a giant sword. Price was about half of what it would cost here for a Bandai kit. Still I wouldn't recommend it. It's all ABS, which means it's a tough springy kind of plastic that doesn't want to stay connected. It's unpleasant to work with, I had multiple issues with fitment and sanding it is harder. Details and edges are all soft and blurry compared to the real thing. Also this might become an issue when painting, abs can degrade and crack when using certain thinners. They included waterslides which is nice though.
    I would rather buy a nice real Bandai kit for the price of two of these.

      Don't buy if it's too cheap.
      Check if the ad says it is a Bandai product or if it has the logo on the pictures.
      Check to see if the ad calls it a Gundam, not a "Fighter" or something like that.
      Be careful any listing that has a lot of different gunpla under only one listing, especially if they are from different shows. (The most common nowdays are ad that have Seed, 00, IBO and Unicorn suits under one listing)
      And you kind of just need to kind of keep up with the news from the 3rd party world to know what they are producing. (Not that all 3rd parties are bootlegs, one of the suits i want the most is the Daban Full armor MKII xD )

    As someone who prefers most Kotobukiya designs to Bandai anyway, (and thus am conditioned to enjoy lower build quality and extra work on the backend to get everything fitting correctly,) and especially as someone who mostly only buys kits with the goal of doing a bunch custom work to them and then putting them into dioramas and static displays... This kind of stuff is deliriously tempting. The idea that I could furnish an entire army for the cost of a single AoZ P-Bandai kit is hard to ignore. Sorry you had such a bad experience. I'm sure there's a ton of people who have had good or bad experiences so I wanted to give it a shot and see what would happen

    i live in the eu so aliexpress is the best way to buy p-bandai. had no problems so far.
    The only issue that i had, was buying what i thought was a knockoff hg crossbone x3 but turned out to be just a knockoff hg x1. Should have know that this would happen when i tried looking for the kit on other websites but found no other websites.

    Bandai keeps releasing kits people already have, that no one wants, or keep forcing square peg in a round circle with the aerial. When we ask for a particular model kit, Bandai gets angry or ignores the consumer. But if third-party vendor comes out with a kit that we want and looks amazing. Bandai is quick to get the lawyers... Our gunpla hobby is pain. Great video.

    LOL so buying gunpla from Aliexpress become sin -_-

    • @ichishoto
      @ichishoto  Год назад +2

      Less a sin and more a lot of people are apprehensive of the super cheap gunpla advertised if the quality is there or if they'll somehow get scammed. I had a positive experience that's what it's all about dispelling that it's all crap
