One of those which grow on you the more you listen and after watching it abut 4 times I'm totally hooked. Just need to work out the chord fingerings (unless of course you have a nice bit of tab ..... 🤔🤔😉😉). Great stuff Thomas.
Thanks for the kind words. Sorry I don’t have a “tab” version. If this helps - here’s how I formed the other chords. When I do my open tuning conversions I take the individual notes in each cord and find them on the neck with open tuning and create a new chord with those notes. Since the Open D tuning is already a D chord, I j put my ring finger on the third fret of the third string ( an A note) to give more oof a drone sound - and then I was able to anchor that there while I did the run down on the fifth string ( from the third fret down to an open string) with my middle finger. For the G and A chords - (which could be barred on the fifth and seventh frets) I did an open variation using the third and sixth strings. For the G chord I put my middle finger on the sixth string fifth fret and my ring finger on the third string fifth fret. To gee the A chord, I just slide that position up two frets to the 7th. For the chorus I started with an A7 fingering on the second d fret (Ring finger 5th string second fret and middle finger third string section fret.) I then slide that position up to fret three, then back to two, then to one . Then open - and bring my ring finger back to the third fret on the third string go again for the D chord with the “A” on the third string. Hopefully that helps. :). Thomas
@@ThomasEarlMusic That's brilliant thanks. Can't wait to give it a go. On your videos I usually slow them down to 50% and can then normally see the positions. My stretces aren't too good so fingering needs adjusting but your desription will save me a lot of effort. Thanks again. Keep 'em coming!
Wonderful ❤
Very nice! Thanks.
Another great interpretation!
Great version of a classic song
Great Song!
Great version!!
BEAUTIFUL!
Nice version and great singing. I play it too, but in Winwood's acoustic drop D.
