So whatever old Miss defenses, strong side end is coming through run opposite. If you’re going to tuck the ball and run if you don’t see someone open run to that side, you’ll know in a couple of plays when they’re rushing you’ll know which side is coming through faster it’s usually that right side Jackson Arnold’s right side is usually the weakest because they’ll put that tight end up there that don’t block very good and if Jackson Arnold can run to the opposite side then they’ve over the other team is over committed and Jackson I don’t get to 10 to 20 yards I don’t know maybe more than that but they gotta try something do what the game calls for take what they give you

Cale Gundy just flat out telling the truth about the blocking on the offensive line. Oklahoma needs to be going after top 30 five star and top 60 four star linemen, from highschools. Right now, Jackson Arnold is the best quarterback but if the problems on the offensive line are not fixed he is going to get killed. Bedenbaugh nor Schmidt need to have mandatory weight room sessions coupled with offensive line techniques, in the Winter, Spring, Summer, and be ready for the Fall. Maybe Oklahoma is getting God slapped for the way Cale Gundy was let go. Reading the N-word from another man's writings does not justify getting fired. Especially if the player who had written it did not get disciplined. Repent and hire him back, in Jesus's name.

    • @Tijuanabill

We got one guy who couldnt hack it at Michigan State. One guy who was pretty good and had some success at North Texas. But this aint North Texas. We got a tight end who was killing it at Southeastern Louisiana. This the SEC tho. Every Saturday we are playing against defensive lines full of huge, strong, fast, future NFL players. These G5 transfers and guys who couldn't hack it at smaller schools are ok for depth pieces. They will NOT cut as starters in the SEC tho. I hope Brent and BB can see that now

We should hire a young assistant for BB. There’s a young coach on the defensive side- the one that was RMT went over to immediately after a big play that was dapping him up - we need a guy like that as an assistant OL coach.
He would be able to connect with these young guys and recruit. Assist with practice and provide encouragement. Perfect entry level role for a recent grad or guy who had a cup of coffee in the NFL. Since it’s entry level, the salary is low and would cost less than firing BB, and together they would be within the variance of what an OL coach makes.
BB is an elite developer, but I sense he doesn’t connect with these young guys. He also probably needs to change his approach. I think he’s an old school coach who probably berates guys, which won’t fly with these young guys today. Not to mention they are paid professionals now and won’t have someone demeaning them. There’s a difference between correcting and berating.
We need to be extremely careful about firing people when their problems are fixable. SL was not fixable. BB is. People always look to the next hire with rose colored glasses, but everyone has some problems. And then we have high hopes for the next guy until we figure out what his problem is. Believe me, BB will be snapped up immediately if fired by OU. He is on the short list of every team needing an OL coach.
BB plus a young energetic, charismatic assistant with natural ability to connect to these guys would be the elite OL coach we need.

Bubba Burcham, Developed, Scott Kempenich, Developed, Howard Duncan frank romero all developed sure Kempenich was unearthly strong but he developed his craft. Osborne used to redshirt, why not recruit 2 or 3 4 stars or 5 stars, but why not 3 to 4 3 stars locally that can redshirt develop strength and technique.

Barnes is not a good back, he runs like we need one yard to score and doesn't try to avoid contact. These running backs aren't getting developed.

Y'all are good people. Ikard and Lehman are Chads. I like Brent Venables and I know he is a good man and an excellent defensive coordinator. I also believe that he is not a head coach and his firing as Oklahoma's head coach is inevitable. Hoping I am wrong, but I don't see it.

The structure of college sports promotes and rewards selfish athletes. It is hard to build team chemistry, camaraderie, and continuity when you have athletes that aren’t loyal (long term) to the school or the team. With sports the true power is with the TEAM. Athletes must commit and be loyal over a long period for any chance of consistent winning.
