    I feel like Kamino is like being in Boot Camp - the newer clones are expected to act and behave a certain way. That's why they all look near identical there. I feel like, as Clones are allowed to explore and be out on the field - those standards begin to slip, and they are allowed to explore their identity.

I mean, that identicality things can come later in their training, to be really specific like one another, meanwhile when they are young, those esthetic rules arent apply, so when they growth up, their privileges are taken away for a more formal and disciplinary manner and in this way, get to know to follow order and what their purpose is etc... You could also ask: Why those kids dont carry an helmet and a blaster, well the answer would be the same as for the haircut or the cut off from their individuality.

      I think they find new conscripted soldiers and clone them, taking from a certain feature like a certain height or weight and making hundreds of them, implanting a chip, cloning them to be ready in a year and quickly killing them off before they go mad, it would explain a bunch like a bad shot, completely amoral and fine following murderous orders. Why they are not once even considered people to anyone in the series, under the helmet you are not sure of a defective clone or a real human, people lied too that they was not human under that helmet. In a universe where more and more systems fell to the rebellion how could they keep up? Cheap cloning! Pretending like people are still enlisting in a cruel army

    The Spaarti Clone theory is my favorite and has been a part of my headcanon for years. I assumed that the Troopers Fordo led on Coruscant against the Droid Invasion were in fact the first few batches of Spaarti Clone Troopers that he trained personally. Being out in the Outer Rim Sieges for at most 9 months Kenobi and Skywalker's Forces were never reinforced with Spaartis (Or V-Wing Interceptors) until they returned to Coruscant. The majority of Clone casualties on Utapau for example were Spaartis. The Empire used Spaartis and Kaminoan Clones for a few months before Recruitment and Conscription of Stormtroopers became common practice eventually outnumbering both Spaarti and Kaminoan Clones by orders of magnitude. The Kaminoan Cloning program was halted however Spaarti Cloning would continue with different templates (High performing Imperial Military Personnel were Cloned). Kaminoan Clones were given the opportunity to retire however a large chunk chose to stay as Stormtroopers. The last Kaminoan Clone Batch was ready for battle in 10 BBY.

    I think it's a combination of the show's budget and storytelling. It's cheaper and saves time to use the same generic model multiple times. Also, since the closes are now villains, having them look generic prevents the viewer from getting attached to them and seeing them as people. The Bad Batch can massacre an entire battalion of generic clones and the viewers won't care. In The Clone Wars show, the clones had more individuality. The viewers grew attached to them and felt a sense of loss when one died, yet we didn't care about the countless generic B1's that got destroyed.
    In terms of canon, I'd like to think that these are new clones that haven't been assigned, and that their chips are suppressing their desire for individuality under the empire.
    I like to think that the use of Spaarti clones explains why the ones in The Bad Batch seem incompetent and outright dumb in some cases. It was also said that the original Jango Fett DNA was degrading, which may lead to lower quality clones and explain why they seem to be less intelligent and bad shots.

    • @mechredd
      @mechredd 3 года назад +6

      @@whiteglint7694 it's not that the viewers won't care about them all being faceless bad guys, it's that the viewers won't care when they die. It's a common story telling technique. We typically don't know anything about the cannon fodder henchmen in movies and TV because the writers don't want the viewers to get attached to them. It makes the heroes seem more heroic when they kill faceless minions, and the villains more villainous when they kill known and well liked characters.
      Bad writing occurs when a character is introduced then gets killed with no character development occurring. The main characters feel a sense of loss and act like it's very important but the viewers don't care because they don't know this person. Think of Art Lean from Mortal Kombat. If you're familiar with the movie but don't know whom I'm talking about, then that illustrates my point.

    This was likely a scene meant to establish how Order 66 not only made clones more aggressive but also took away their ability to have creative thinking, instead they now all act the same, and look the same.
    Taking away their individuality is a severe blow to take, since we had spent much time over Clone Wars getting attached and valuing the life of a clone. But now they are just battle droids.

    My theory: They are nothing more than background characters. Generic soldiers for the Bad Batch to shoot up. The only reason some clones in The Clone Wars were unique was that they were key characters or were meant to stick out from the rest. Rex, Fives, Cody, etc. were all within the key characters group. It was also easier for Dee Bradly Baker to distinguish their personality.
    Alternatively, the Bad Batch calls other clones "regs" implying that they are meant to be the same. Honestly, I really do think it is as simple as these clones are background characters.

    The Kamino Guard are still in Kamino and are still recognized as a security force. The clone shock troopers are in Kamino because Tarkin and a jedi was present. It's also Kamino and Palpatine would want to keep it secure, due to most of their operations are there (Such as project war mantle). They are also probably there to ensure a smooth transition from the Republic to the Empire and to supervise the other units. Like Generation tech said, Palpatine had a major influence on the shock troopers. The Kamino scientists probably have a similar influence on the Kamino guard and the regs there, so it could lead to an uprising of some sorts. They could somehow deactivate the chips or something. For short, the shock troopers are probably there to supervise Kamino.
