I think this is the fourth video where you have shown that audio trial tip and it finally clicked with me and I was able to do it fluidly. Thank you!! Your MPC videos are so helpful.
The trick with leaving the tail is gold. I don't have an MPC but have the Force. This will be a bit of a game changer with the way I work. Thank you for sharing. 👍
Lovely beat... still using your Tefty/Meem vocal samples in my Iridium Keyboard... still stunning! Especially when doing a mix of spread and close voicings... beautiful!
@@teftymusictech absolutely amazing. It's small but great. I have it hooked up to my Prophet 5 Rev 4 if I need 5 octaves... but the keyboard on the Iridium keyboard is about as good as it gets...
Very nice Tefty! I like the workflow and the disk streaming is a game changer. When I use the MPC with guitar I was sticking to the maximum of 16Bars, creating loops residing in memory. So, this will mean I can break free of that restrictionn.
Something seems to have changed in the beta. I can send midi notes to the audio track using my pads from the midi and submix tracks, but not the audio track.
idk about live beat maker, oldskool hip hop heads. I use my mpc strictly for electronic based music and this new update is a game changer! It's so crazy that I even want to try out a beta firmware just for the arranger which is something I normaly never do!
Well done on your end. The changes they're offering on the new firmware are pretty substantial for the process. The arranger really deals with my main complaint about the rigidity in developing arrangements using song mode. The only thing that would take it over the edge would be a proper clip/scene workflow, but would it even be an MPC then? Haha. Another good one, man.
@@gctechs Yeah that makes sense. You really do need a bigger grid to run clip/scenes efficiently. I just wish the Force could do different time signatures. I got rid of it when I ran into that issue. Otherwise I would have kept it.
Nice video. I wish you would've start of with the fact that mutes will be there later. people are losing their sh*t over it. I still thing the MPC will benefit from the Force clips seq & clip-matrix.
Yes, standalone is first. I believe software/computer version will be after the standalone gets an official release. And all the samples I recorded ended up being streamed off the SD card on the Key 37.
Not that I’ve heard. This seems to be a workflow redesign update. Things like 8 audio tracks and 8 audio plugins all seem to be the same so I imagine the algorithms are the same from 2 to 3.
Tefty, can you download stems and .mpcpattern files to convert to .mid files? I like to transfer to logic to complete, and not sure if this is possible because it seems the desktop software is staying at version 2 for at least the next year?
Not sure honestly. I haven’t tried the new stem export yet and I’m. It sure about midi conversions. I’m yeah not sure when software will be out. Hopefully sooner than a year.
The metronome click sound is annoying for me. Why can't the click sound be like in the cubase? I know there are several and can be changed, but they are all bad. Please talk to the developers about this!
The workflow just looks so much better in 3.0 - can’t wait to get it.

learned a lot from watching this! Thanks for uploading it
Thank you Jon! Love your channel
Thank god! I was actually pretty worried about the muting issue.
Yeah same, I was VERY relieved when they said it just wasn’t available from the GUI yet 😅
I’m happy they came up to mpc 3. It’s been time.
Great video! Excellent vibe on that track! 3.0 looks fun to mess with! Definitely looking forward to the update
Thank you!
Chill session, nice vibes, cool presentation.
PLEASE, try the auto sampler and see if there’s an option to auto sample 8 velocity layers now? Used to be 4

Love hearing this! I've actually considered swapping to an Iridium Keyboard. Hows the keybed and aftertouch feel?

Great walkthrough.

You make it look too easy 😅 I appreciate your demonstration and practical application explanation. Most Excellent (Bill and Ted style)
Very cool 😎. Thanks so much for your awesome music 🎶. Very well played and presented. Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
Thank you ❤️🙏❤️

Try to auto sample the IRIDIUM to a keygroup with 8 velocity layers. New feature?

They're keeping the clip launching for the Force. Sequences for the MPC, clips for the Force.

Can’t wait for the Publc Beta
The Iridium is really cool. The closest things I have in the virtual world are probably Icarus, Phase Plant, Halion, Pigments, and VPS Avenger.
Yeah Pigments is my go to soft synth 🙌
How’s the beta been performing for you so far? Relatively stable, or full of bugs? I’m debating whether to sign up for the public beta.

Dude, love the NASA tee shirt. My dad worked for Nasa on all of the major space missions.... needless to say, my family is all space-geek!!
Love this!
This mpc 3 beta is in standalone? Look fast for the cpu and ram that the keys 37 has.

Has Akai divulged any information regarding updating the vintage modes
to be more accurate in 3.0?

Just one question: how it's streaming the sample you just recorded if it's not saved yet to disk?
Seems like it records a temp file to disk because when I save it, it's much faster when compared to saving from memory.
For sample based beat makers is sample chopping still the same?
Yeah pretty much. I believe there’s some enhancements like sampling direct to pad. Also you can have 8 layers per pad now.
What’s a muthah duckah?😂

These kind of videos doesnt make it easy to wait for the mpc3 public beta to actually go public... Ofcourse the music is awesome :)
Can't you just leave the audio on the audio track? What does putting the audio on a pad do apart from let the tail play while you loop your jam?
The metronome click sound is annoying for me. Why can't the click sound be like in the cubase? I know there are several and can be changed, but they are all bad. Please talk to the developers about this!
The MPC has the best click 😮💨🔊 it’s iconic
Man…. I thought this was accurate beats imitating an American accent. 😂😂😂
