- On March 12, 2023, Billy Luther (Navajo, Hopi and Laguna Pueblo) premiered his film, 'Frybread Face and Me' at the 2023 SXSW film festival.

Luther is an award-winning director and producer known for his documentaries, 'Miss Navajo' and 'Grab' as well as other successful projects. The film was executive-produced by Taika Waititi.
Mohawk Author and Journalist Vincent Schilling sat down with Billy Luther as well as actors Martin Sensmeier, Kahara Hodges and Charley Hogan to talk about the film.

You dont see movies like this very often ! Wonderful Movie ! Awesome Actors , Love you Martin !❤ The kind of movie you will watch again and again ! I Love seeing movies with Native Americans , such heart felt and warm people .❤
I watched this gem last night on Netflix. I was a puddle by the end. Just told all my friends on social media/the water cooler not to miss it. This kind of movie is too rare on so many levels.

I understand the feeling getting discouraged for not being able to speak navajo in …as my masani would say…” Navajo county “ I tried but got teased about my accent…I love my childhood summers on the Rez…I miss those times. I wish my kids had that same experience. ❤️💯
