The best SHOW I’ve seen in a long time!
Truth
This and Arcane are my 2 favorite animated shows on Netflix by far. Every aspect of it, not just the animation.
Both shows are animated in Paris by french studios (Fortiche and Blue Spirit).
Same same same. I recommend both of these shows constantly because they're both really amazing on every level!

I was having such a tough few days, and randomly decided to watch Netflix to get my mind off things. Saw Blue Eye Samurai, watched it, and instantly I squealed because I knew I would love it so much! Come to find out it had just released that day! As an Asian-American woman, it’s always so lovely to watch gritty shows with female leads that take into account the nuances of their circumstance and personalities. And the animation! I can’t for season 2 (hopefully!)
This show is not only a masterpiece but a master class on how animation should be done moving forward,,, truly visually stunning and brutally honest of the nature of man,, the good and badl ❤️💯❤️💯

Stumbled across the 1st episode on RUclips. Restarting my own sub just to rewatch season. Blue Eye Samurai is hands down the best animated series I’ve seen on Netflix since House Of Cards season 1.

This is a great show. Arguably the best animated series I’ve seen, ever. Typically animated stories lack in one aspect or another. Not this show though. Fantastic story, brilliantly executed in a format that surprises the audience and explores new boundaries of imagination. Episode 5 is Emmy winning material. I can’t wait for season 2
Made the same comparrison between mizu and bruce wayne myself, both characters are so driven and yet complete opposites in their methods.
My imagination even went to fanfic level on how both of them could meet.

It amazes me of men accepting and not recognizing what the messages are in this anime. Shows how many people are slow these days.
The problem with mentioning Asian Representation is that people confuse that with quality. This show is amazing because of the writing and art. The Representation is just a happy after occurrence. But Hollywood thinking representation alone is the secret sauce to success does more harm then good. 10 new shit shows claiming they represent Asians, and doing it poorly because they didn't start with the story, they started with the prize of diversity, means that People will start to roll their eyes when they hear representation. Stop towing that line and let things happen organically.

Our group stopped watching at episode 7, some of the women kept on but all of the guys which loved it so much as it started dropped out. WOKE is the best repellant for men as we know its BS. What a shame, could have been great.
