The 222 has recently had a buff in the most recent FAQ update. It now loses the “open topped” special rule. Which now removes it’s only drawback and makes it an even better pick than the British Humber. I’d now say it’s one of the best choices for a cheap Armored Car to fill out a list.
Been watching your vids, great work all round. I wrote a list and played it last week for the Germans (been using the Brits in our league for the past year, so nice to play another faction) I've just mail-ordered a truck with Vierling quad on it. The plan, - 3 man HQ with Stg44s to bolster the squads when they get stuck in - 4 x 6 man schutzen units with 1 x SMG and 1x Panzerfaust each. - 2 x 6 man shirkers to hold one flank - 2 x regular trucks with MMGs and a motorbike with MMG. Overload one half of the field with MG fire. - Inexperienced mortar General plan, bum-rush the squads forward to threaten any vehicles. Suppress one side/area with all the vehicle MG fire. Mug any enemy infantry that have used their orders dice already with the vierling (so they can't go down) - Screen the Vierling with a truck if I have to from heavier enemy guns - Any heavy enemy armour is either threatened by the panzerfausts will have to keep moving, or it comes after my Vierling, a waste of points between the 2 units for the opponent. - If the opponent doesn't have heavy armour then I can cause pins on it with the fausts, Vierling and hopefully the mortar if it comes to it Broadly that's what worked last game, and I'd put the vierling higher on your list I think. The Puma's great, but effectively only a one weapon vehicle I think, and not as effective as the British Staghound, for instance. Still learning the game though, enjoy ing it more and more!
I know I'm late here but I wanted to weigh in on a cool if unloved sdkfz; the Horch 108 with Flak 38. It is the same as your #5 opel, BUT it is considerably smaller (222 vs. 8 rad) and with a few of the theater selectors it can even gain recce for 10 pts.
Interesting vid and walk through - despite it's been some time. I wonder which selection you are using to get Flak 38 and a truck for just 50 points (which is the value of the Flak 38)?
Can I put a Flakvierling on the flat cab of an Opel Blitz or a Protze truck, or is that not allowed? It seems like I can just like you say it is on page 65 of the Armies of Germany book :))) At this point I am guessing Opel Blitz or Protze is the same for the game.
I cannot recommend forvo enough. Especially for English native speakers Just take a minute to listen to the word being pronounced for you by native speakers forvo.com/word/sonderkraftfahrzeug/#de

Armored car is definitely a must always take abs will use with my Romanians. Puma is the best wheeled vehicle in the game hands down 🤙🤙

I like your clear speaking voice. And I like the pictures. Decent video.
What about the Sdkfz Drilling? That is right between the Opel Blitz and the Wirbelwind.

Kurdist Baleer Good info. I think I dosregarded that because of the armor the opel can get. But definitely a cool model and nice alternative.
It can also be picked instead of an artillery piece in some others
years later it still is a good video lots of info.
I'm surprised the Pakwagon did not make the list. Pak40 on a 251.
I honestly think for 20 points more the sdkfz 234/40 is just better though. Scout car mobility with Recce and a heavy anti-tank gun? Yes please.
Love the puma and 8 rad variants, have you looked at the rad 6 rules for a bit of fun?
the opel blitz has wheels, the opel maltier was the one that was a halftrack, amazing video though, bravo!

Great vid thanks man
On the Panzerwerfer 42 can you do an advance move then fire on a 6 or do you get dinged for the movement??
Yes, you can move and shoot the Panzerwerfer 42
Also, it always hits on 6 nothing more or less. Movement, pins, etc.. do not change that.
@@211rsc thankyou for clearing that up for me!
Is the 234 a legal list item for DAK? Armies of Germany specifically not Western Desert

Just take a minute to listen to the word being pronounced for you by native speakers
forvo.com/word/sonderkraftfahrzeug/#de
This is handy, as I'm just getting into this and my natural inclination is to pronounce the words like they're English rather than German.
Thanks.
