20 years ago, my father left to get cigarettes and never returned. Today he came back just to tell me to watch the new Kiwi video with him. Thank you for fixing my family.
To clarify, he hasn't been dead/missing for all that time; him and the princess have been rebuilding hyrule for all that time, but recently, gloom began seeping from out under the castle, leading to... the opening cutscene, and *then* Link goes missing for... maybe days to a week or so?
I feel like the easiest way to get around food would be eat it while full health and wait for any buffs to wear of before moving forward so you ultimately gain nothing except an inventory slot back out of it.
Minor lore correction, Purrah intentionally deaged herself in BotW, it was just accidental how far back she went. Shes also not back to normal here since she's supposed to be over 100 years old, which was the reason she was experimenting with deaging in the first place. Very entertaining concept for a challenge, love the video! I hope you can forgive me being a bit pedantic haha
Something I never considered until now: what if Purah didn't actually find an efficient way to re-age herself back to an adult, and instead she just waited it out? We know it's been a few years, and it's hard to tell how old she was biologically in BotW...
@@chipwiseman2Her diary mentioned she was in her 120's. Sheika live a long time. She de-ages herself to be about 7 in the first and about 7 years passed until TOTK. She was working on a re-aging formula before link showed up.
I feel like the Paraglider was excessive, because it is technically a different one from the BotW version. Maybe this is just nit picky, but I feel there’s a valid argument for it
For surviving the cold in Hebra, you can fuse a Fire Like stone to a shield. Works the same as a ruby. For the Spirit Temple, the only requirement is that you initiate the Regional Phenomena quest by talking to Purah after getting the paraglider. You can bypass the 10-hearts door by ascending from below, but Mineru’s owl mask thing won’t activate without starting that quest, which means you need to at least acquire the paraglider.
Oh wow I never actually thought about fire like stones, and there was me talking about them in the first video! I don't want to spoil anything about whether or not I managed those two, although you've probably pieced it together anyway
13:15 Dinraal parts also give heat when fused, I normally carry a warm and a cold shield early on Also ironically there’s 2 rare ore deposits on the Great Sky Island and they both give a guaranteed ruby
oooh interesting challenge! can't wait for more edit: as of the beginning of the game, link and zelda had only been missing for a few weeks. the game itself takes place 6 or so years post botw
Another possible solution to the cold is to let yourself die. You are brought back with full hearts when you continue, so you just have to remember to save shortly before you die to avoid losing progress.

So begins the tale of how Kiwi saved Hyrule but in the process of neglecting the Gerudo, and Zoras a civil war broke out. Tune in for pt 2 where Kiwi loses what little sanity he had left.
Wow, this challenge seems super intense! I just completed the four regional Dungeons without using fast travel or the paraglider. I thought that was a fun a challenge. Unfortunately Mineru is nonsensically locked behind the Paraglider so the challenge portion of my run ended there. The first cutscene and quest chain with Purah is kinda funny if you show up with endgame gear and the four sagas already in toe. Your method of getting into the depths is pretty clever and I wish I’d thought of it! I relied on three different wells that I found leading to the depths with water to break my fall. Getting the upgraded glide suit was lifesaver! I don’t know if I would’ve had the patience to complete the game without it… But using those falling rocks is definitely genius! Anyways, fantastic video that’s a really cool challenge idea!

For future reference, the shrine at 22:22 is doable without a paraglider. Just use ultrahand to hold the fan above you, close to the ledge for a few seconds, use recall to hold it in place, and ascend through it.
When you were in the cold in the Great Sky Island and did the save trick, after you got the flame-emitter shield you could have set the pieces of grass on fire to keep yourself warm as you were walking. That’s what I did because I had missed the peppers entirely.

16:45 Timber found a way to skip the the Great Sky Island and go straight to the final boss 8 months ago. It requires a lot of preparation, glitches and A LOT of waiting, but there is a way to leave the GSI with only 3 hearts.
Showed this vid to my Gran and she told me she's gonna give the challenge a go. She only has a laptop that runs windows 7 so I'm not sure how she'll do that but I'll encourage her all the same.
Ever watched the Zelda cartoon? You know that scene where he jumps on the bomb with his shield? You could have done that (fusing a bomb flower to your shield) to get down the chasm since it will cancel your fall damage
You can do every single shrine in the game glitchless without the paraglider. (I did it on my file.) The required alternate tactics only ever include dive cancels (with or without Glide Armor mobility), Recallevators, or pre-fusing Zonai devices to shields, and none of those conflict with your ruleset.
@@KillerKiwi1642 I thought someone already made a series like that on RUclips. Even if not, you can probably find the only ones that are significantly impacted by the lack of a paraglider individually. Small keys are probably okay to use, because they have a different icon and are Zonai instead of Sheikah. It's a similar case to the lights of blessing, just without a name change. Also, can't you just eat banned food while your health is full? If the meal has an effect, you could: - Get the same effect with a longer time through different means (I think this would work...) - Simply wait the effect out and not make use of it - Get the full effect beforehand (in the case of extra stamina or hearts)

This challenge looks really hard, specially since you can't use the paraglider and even use potions/food to protect from environment damage, like cold and heat
so here are my suggestions. wind temple would be possible, as you can use fire monster horns to protect you from the cold (they're not in botw, I believe).
