After trying to break in my Wesco Boss engineers (of the shelf) by just by wearing them I gave up too tough, After putting them away for a couple of months. Then I did the water method, I put them in warm water filled the inside also with water for a half hour .When I put them on I put more water in them, I wore them for 6 hours .I let them dry overnight I wore them again the next day for another 6 hrs and they broke in perfectly I then cleaned them and applied Huberd's shoe grease, big difference from when they came out of the box. P.S these Wesco's are too tough to get ruined by the water.

I have the rough out leather and the leather so soft feels like there already broken in honestly super comfortable.

The break in tips sound like a good way to break your boots…condition the leather and wear them part days until your feet get sensitive and keep a spare pair of shoes to change into.

Neither heat nor hot water will improve the fit of your boot, it may ruin your boot but it won’t help. Buy the correct size and pay attention to your heel to ball measurements and not just heel to toe. If your correct width isn’t available go up in size and use an insole even a very thin leather insole from nicks can make a size worth of difference. Last resort you can wet the exterior of the boot with 50/50 distilled water and alcohol. But this is for hot spots not to change the size of your boot. Proper size, sock, appropriate conditioning and patience will be way better than heat and soaking. IMHO.

I would recommend that you try them on as they can all fit a bit differently. Each of their websites can help a bit with sizing. 👊

My foot length is 250mm and I wear US8.5 size when I wear Jordan series sneakers. Oxford shoes with a very narrow fit can wear up to size 9, so I wonder if size 9 is suitable for Wesco boots as well.

Depending on the width of Wesco, your best bet is to try them or get a fitting chart form the website. 👊 👊

no no no.. if you wear a sneaker size of 8.5 ...., your proper boot sizes will be smaller.. so like 8 in Redwing.. and 7.5 in PNW boots.. (White's, Wesco, Nick's, JK, Frank's ) etc..
