😂 ahhh mate you made my day, thank you for the compliment 😊 I have made a video about how I edit my photos a while back and well overdue a new one I guess but I also since created my own presets which if you're interested you can find the link in the description. Thanks again man, glad you enjoyed the video 👍
I've been seeing your videos for a while and it's really informative and entertaining seeing you explore and shooting and sharing the amazing 🔥 photos. Love it
This is good stuff my man and I love that you included the walk and talk shots from the 14 Ultra. The video from that phone still amazes me. Great shots coming out of the iPhone too.
Thanks mate 👍 yes the iPhone did get some good results, now let's wait til my next video for a head on comparison between the 16 pro max and the 14 Ultra 😂
9:36 - I absolutely agree, and I have to say your channel has been a huge inspiration! It makes you look around way more too, always looking for "the shot", which I think is beatiful. P.S the elevator shot is insane! Looks like computer graphics (in a good way)
Thank you, it really means a lot and I'm really glad it has inspired you to go out there ❤️ and yes when I saw the elevator I instantly thought of the matrix haha
This might be the first preset pack i ever buy. I love editing my photos and making my own presets. But your work is so elegant and cinematic that i have to reverse engineer these haha. Amazing work man! I have two quick questions if you ok answering: 1. When you take pics, how do you decide the exposure level in the lightroom app? Based on what? 2. When you edit on the iphone, what level you keep pthe screen brightness at and do you turn off true tone when you color grade. Thank you! Much love. Most inspiring iphone photography video yet.
Thanks mate I really appreciate the kind words 🙏❤️ to answer your questions, in regards to editing photos, I do not edit on a phone. I edit in Lightroom Classic on a computer. The reason for that is that you get much more freedom and tools and arguably more precision by doing so, but the one thing I couldn't live without is AI Noise Reduction only available on lightroom classic, that's a must have feature especially when working with mobile phone raw files as they tend to be noisier throughout their ISO range than any of their mirrorless counterparts. Now in terms of exposure it all depends on what type of photography you want to go for. If you wanted to shoot let's say a black and white photo highlighting a subject crossing a narrow band of sunlight for example, I'd crush my blacks and expose for the light only. On the other hand what I did with those wide shots of the buildings looking up, I crushed my highlights on purpose and gave them some bloom in post. Again it really all depends what type of photography you're going for at that moment you press the shutter button. Having a vision before you take the shots will establish what settings you use. Sorry for the essay and I hope it is helpful 😅
@Kashu10 yes but not on my phone, I use Lightroom Classic on a computer, you get much more control and features that are not available on the mobile app 👍
Great Video! Having the Xiaomi 14 Ultra I must say when unnatural light comes in Photos/Videos it's always flickering and I see the same in your Videos. Is this just a Xiaomi Issue or is this common to every smartphone? Greetings from Germany
Hey 👋 love Germany btw ! Only visited Hamburg but absolutely fell in love ! Definitely overdue another visit ! Anyway, the issue is not just on smartphones, it's any video recording device. Basically all artificial lights work at a certain " Hz " (normally between 50/60hz) it's easily preventable by changing the shutter speed to a fixed value. The reason you see it in videos is when you want to film in auto (mainly so you don't have to adjust all your settings all the time when shooting a vlog for example) it will pick up the flicker if the auto shutter speed happens to be in the same range as the light source. Hope it makes sense. Again not a problem with the Xiaomi or other phones or any camera, that's just physics 😅
Absolutely, like I said in your other comment it's all about how you use it 👌 having said that it isn't bad ! I mean my next video will be a comparison Vs the Xiaomi 14 Ultra... Who knows who will produce the better results 😅
Being right handed gives me more control and freedom of movement holding it that way (therefore less shaking) especially if shooting low to the ground. It also sometimes helps whenever you want the lens to be as close to the ground as possible. Hope that answers your question 😉
Hey, yes I do, already answered that one many times 😅 I'm right handed and especially if taking shots lower to the ground hand gets more clearance that way, more ergonomic if you'd like, plus if you're doing a really low to the ground shot, that way you get the lenses closer to the floor, especially handy if shooting reflections for example. Hope that answers your question 😉
@@UpsideLens brilliant, thanks for your reply, I’m off to Goa in January, so may use this technique at some point with my 15 pro max, keep up the great work phone 📱 camera 📸👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The RAW files from lightroom are different than what the camera app takes. The ProRaw files are not 100% raw, they have some aditional processing that makes them better than the normal RAWs, you should try shooting in that mode and lowering the exposure and see how they look
I absolutely agree, the raw files from the stock app are different, and that's because they are already processed, something I just can't live with with on iPhones hence why I used the lightroom camera app. The pro raw mode is a sort of stacking method which combines shots to Denoise and sharpen photos but the downside of it is, you can't adjust the noise reduction in post yourself or reduce that extra sharpening layer that is already there. On top of that some "HDRification" is also added which again is not something you want when editing your photos from scratch. Add to that the fact you cannot shoot in manual, limiting the type of shots you can do, makes for stock app a big no no, for me anyway. I can see the appeal for beginners as there is less to mess with in post but it is quite limiting. I hope that makes sense 👍
@@UpsideLens I can see where you're coming from, I agree that the amount of processing they add to the "raw" files is too much sometimes and ruin the feel of the photo. For me, personally, I don't mind it as much as I primarily shoot on mirrorles cameras and use my phone only when i don't have them on me and for that the proraw files are good enough. I recently saw that the Google Pixel 9 pro has stunning results from the raw files, maybe some day you can give those a try as well
I'm so surprised that people in London aren't interested in you and you can do your own thing undisturbed. Here in Germany, if you stand on the street, talk to yourself (or rather to the camera) and take photos with your phone, you're looked at as if you were an alien from another galaxy. They look at you stupidly and sometimes you even get negative feedback.
I mean don't get me wrong you get people looking at you obviously, like at the start of the video there was a group of people looking at me that's why I started laughing lol but tbh the more you do it the more you get used to it and the less you care about the people around you looking haha
I wish people were more transparent about photography, most of these locations and angles are done by any half decent photographer that goes to London. These locations are pre scouted and done over and over again. Watching him act out like he just found the angle and locations is cringe. Similar to watching WWE and acting like its real. Google London street photography and you will find the majority of these shots.
Transparent ? Did I put a discovery flag on every single spot I took the photos from ? Did you actually watch the video where I say " I took this shot here before..." Or " you've probably already seen this photo on IG times and times over..." How much more transparency do you want ? This video is about the iPhone and what results you can achieve with it ! I have many many many other videos about pure street photography wandering around streets, forests and doing a tual discovery, this video is not about that, the whole point flew way over your head bud 😂
DROP THE COLOUR GRADING MASTERCLASS RN !!! BECAUSE ALL THESE PHOTOS ARE SO WELL EDITED IT MAKES THE PHOTO LOOK AMAZING 💥🔥🔥🔥

the UWA camera still has same sensor size as last year's 12MP UWA, Just Quad Bayer tech this time which eventually binns to 12MP Bayer.

Thank you 👍 it's all explained in the video, make sure you don't skip parts 😉 lightroom camera
What aspect ratio do you shoot in?
Hey, just regular 3:4 / 4:3 depending on whether I shoot vertical or horizontal 👍
