Daniel is one of my favorite books. I love how God uses the most unrighteous people to do his will. If we could have his strong belief in God, we would be so much closer. I love the prophecies of Daniel. Thank you for your love of the true gospel. Nothing that is done without God's will. Many do not realize it.

I am Reformed Baptist, and am embarrassed to say that it is probably the book I have avoided the most, particularly because of the latter half. I really struggle with where I stand on eschatology, so perhaps it was good I tuned into Voddie’s commentary on it.

I have been blessed to find Voddie, hes truly blessed and anointed , I can never hear enough of preaching the lords word. I wish he was in the tpa fla area better believe these recordings would have my shouting out Amen and praising the lord. It sounds like those attending may be sleeping

Daniel and his friends were taken into the midst of the Babylonians to be examples of the true God’s character/nature and knowledge to try and impact that culture to change it to recognize and know the one true God through their faith and sacrifices. If we’re separated from the culture, then we’re not in the midst as the Lord lived to bring about change and infect it with His true love and not the perverted love of the world or false religions.
Amen! God did not redeem us for this Babylon! I was fooled for a few years in church services!

Is it an accurate statement that "Satan is the god of earth?" I know he is not the creator, but when kicked out of heaven, is his mission to gather more souls on earth than God will gather in heaven?
He is called the prince of the power of the air. Also when Satan tempted Jesus, one of those was granting the kingdoms of the earth. So, in many ways I would say your statement is accurate. I would want to make one change, from "earth" to "world". Since sometimes the word "world" refers to the sinful realm, not the created earth.
