  • Here's how I was able to find and catch bass during Major League Fishing's Stage 5 tournament on Smith Lake. This video goes into detail on the rods, reels, line, and baits that I used during the competition and how I used them. I hope this helps you find and catch more fish. Let me know if you have any questions below, and I'll do my best to help. All my equipment is listed below:

    Smith is my home lake. I have some great spots on both ends. The purple smoke I’m sure did good as I’ve had great luck on salt n pepper. But green is always deadly on Smith lake spots. Just some future knowledge to help.

      What areas do you consider “both ends” of the lake? What type of water and structure do you find to be the most effective areas? The clear water and depth make it a tough lake for many to fish.

      They feel “alive” in your hands. It all has to do with material, balance and many other things that we are able to achieve that others can’t or just don’t put the time in to think about all the little details.

    The new tats are big upgrade from the last ten imho. I have the new 100 to throw shallow plugs with and the 150 to pitch and throw small swimmers on. Both are very impressive in multiple ways.
    When is that new ahashi glide coming out?

    Brandon,what was your reasoning for not using your baitcaster setup with the zoom swimbait !

    • @BmpFishing
      @BmpFishing  5 лет назад

      Craig Taylor I have an easy time on a spinning rod with the 1/4 ounce heads.

    • @BmpFishing
      @BmpFishing  5 лет назад +1

      Easier keeping the bait down.

    "paddle tail style bait"
    be honest, it's an exact replica of the keitech. at least strike king made the ribs a little different. this is the exact same, minus the scent.

    • @BmpFishing
      @BmpFishing  5 лет назад +1

      Jon L Nope...actually swims different because of the density of the tail.

    • @yustinaaron
      @yustinaaron 5 лет назад +1

      Although I favor the keitech, it is more nimble and tends to tear easier than the zoom swim bait.

    I viewed your Smith Lake vid and saw you lose quite a few fish on drop shot. Have you considered using circle hooks in your drop shot presentation?

    • @BmpFishing
      @BmpFishing  5 лет назад +1

      I have, but it’s tough to get the bait to sit right on there and not twist.

    Excellent video, but you really need to use the FG knot....just sayin

    • @BmpFishing
      @BmpFishing  5 лет назад +1

      I just need to learn how to tie it quickly.

    • @bronzeback29
      @bronzeback29 5 лет назад

      @@BmpFishing It does take a little more time then others, but it just works better in every way, its stronger and goes through guides better then any other knot I have tried.

    that's not good!!

    • @BmpFishing
      @BmpFishing  5 лет назад

      Z520 Yoppi it’s super close yes, but I think it swims slightly different because of the tail density
