    Wow, this has all my musts: king bed, outside kitchen w/water, LOTS of closet space, lots of pantry space and enough cabinet space and counter space, theatre seating across from TV (a MUST) and dining table. It's like they read my mind!

      We just towed one of these home!! We love it! It was Josh's presentation which sold us!! We did not buy from Haylett the #1 Coachmen dealer in Michigan. If we lived closer we would have. Although they are only a hundred miles from us as the crows fly. That darn big lake in between had us make our purchase here in Wisconsin.

      That's what I like about their decor -- it's certainly within the neutral tan family of colors, but very much on the lighter side & sort of flirts with those farm style feelings

      @ae4xo 5 лет назад

      @@JoshtheRVNerd well the stabilization isn't noticable because you don't shoot straight lines walking on a path or in the parking lot. The movements from one area of the camper to another are smoother, now that I took a closer look. You are doing amazing job and I hope the sales figures show it.

    We love this new floorplan! King bed! Outdoor kitchen! No "neck-wrecker" TV placement! All in a 30' trailer! Nice interior color choice too :) A few questions I didn't see covered in your video and haven't found answers to: 1) Is there under bed storage? 2) Does the mattress need to fold up to get the slide in? 3) Is the outdoor sink drain plumbed to the gray tank? THANK YOU!

    Any power / shelving near the bed for CPAP friendliness? If not does a queen bed provide it, if available? Love that they skipped the bedroom entry door to provide other storage and the outside kitchen.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 лет назад

      King is actually standard. There are no planned provisions for a queen, though if a king can fit a queen is obviously possible.
      Small little stands next to the bed in front of fascia may be needed.
      It's not an oversight by any means, but rather a necessary downsizing in an attempt to keep the RV under 30ft total. Sizing is tricky that way.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 лет назад

      That's also why we carry different models. The Rockwood will likely satisfy CPAP users quite nicely at bit.ly/33trza2

      Answering both questions in one reply here:
      *REMOVING THE BOOTH:* You definitely can. Fairly easily actually. Note this may reveal some things like wiring for dinette lighting, but those can likely be repurposed.
      *CARGO CAPACITY:* Listed at the 00:05 mark of all our videos whenever available. You can also see it on the "Specs" tab of our listing at bit.ly/35qysdk

      King is standard here, but they do offer a queen in other models. That leads me to think it COULD be ordered that way. However, the Rockwood counterpart to this already has the queen in it and can be seen here: bit.ly/33trza2

    Can you get something similar without the outdoor kitchen? I find it adds weight and we prefer to keep it around 5000 lbs, otherwise love the layout

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  4 года назад

      Coachmen doesn't offer anything like that, and removing a camp kitchen won't make that large of an impact upon the weight rating (Certainly not the 1,300lbs of weight reduction you're seeking to reach 5,000lbs). A 30ft RV with dual slides will weigh 6,000lbs or more without question.
      Rockwood makes a smaller front kitchen at about 5,200lbs that will be much closer to your target weight range you can see at bit.ly/2OQZx4s

    This is my thinking exactly. I had this floorplan in mind all along but everyone I looked at was nothing like this unless in a fifth wheel which leaves bedroom uptop equals hot hot in there. The apex 2655 is very similar to this great layout. But the turnoff is it's the apex I dont think its asdel like this model. Plus the seller on this one is they finally fixed the bedroom! Its sideways like the big nice 35k models without the head banger cabneits on each side. And tv in front of the sofa. 40ft of amenities in 29ft. Now coachman stick with it and keep under 24999.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 лет назад +1

      Apex is the "little sister" to the Freedom Express series. They have the same sidewall construction complete with Azdel below the fiberglass layer.

    • @sissyturds519
      @sissyturds519 5 лет назад

      @@JoshtheRVNerd yes, however according to the book if I'm not mistaken the apex does not have the heated underbelly as the freedom Express does. Correct me if I'm wrong. And the other drawback my local dealers are trying to rip me, as they say they cannot order the apex utlra light 2655 because they contract the freedom express. The 2655 comes in at 33ft and some online being 22500 to 24500 which is my budget 25k and good deal. Pricey but worth it without the no rot no mold no mildew construction due due to my allergies. I checked out 200miles and both dealers only contract freedom express. When this one came out I got excited as one of the local dealers had ordered one but she lost it a little when she wanted to push the price at 29999! And it's only a 29ft unit. I think I'm gonna have wait another year to see if they drop them in my budget. As 24999 would be more down to earth.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  5 лет назад

      @@sissyturds519 Depends on which series of Apex. Their small "nano" series does not have a heated belly because it cannot have an enclosed belly due to chassis size vs. tank size.
      These 8ft wide models like the 265RBSS all have forced air heated and enclosed bellies. You can get more info and some footage of one here if you'd like: bit.ly/2REoBvj

    • @sissyturds519
      @sissyturds519 5 лет назад

      @@JoshtheRVNerd I looked at the link. I absolutely love that floorplan. 31ft, shower, tv/ front of entertainment center toward couch. Roomy overall. Efficient. Only thing I wish I could change is turn bed sideways and make king slide as in this model. I'm not sure why but that effect makes bedroom seem like a real bedroom and more roomy, private. I'm hoping we see more similar layouts from coachman soon. With this one out, I say the 265rbss will get the ax before long unfortunately. The 259 has same feel but with the closet behind the entertainment center makes living area small and high/ close to the chairs. That extra 2ft that the 265 has makes big difference and same sticker price to.
