I fly an experimental aircraft myself here in the United States, so it's really interesting to see what they're flying in Thailand. That is the most basic of ultralight that there is, and it appeared like it had seen better days But it was a great flight, and you had a really good pilot. Thanks for the tour.

Philadelphia Fan I am not sure you will be allowed into BKK. Did you buy the airline insurance to change flight dates . They are looking at Jan 2021 America is a failed nation with this virus . You will also need a real CCP virus test paperwork a doctors evaluations check up paperwork and 100,000 of health insurance.

Running a bit rich maybe
It has a 2 cycle engine (582 Rotax) , oil mixed with the gas like a chainsaw. Almost twice as much horsepower per pound than a 4 cycle engine. Exactly what you want in an ultralight. However it will idle at 2000 rpm and full power is somewhere between 5000 - 7000 rpm. Yes if will run ragged AF when it is cold. Yes your helmet will help if you have to make an emergency landing on rough terrain at 40 mph. Just like taking your scooter on an unplanned excursion through a rocky ditch at 40 mph ;-)

Excellent day. I flew on a similar plane at a Bakersfield CA air show. It too was experimental. Not allowed to charge for rides so they sold T-Shirts and gave you a free airplane ride with your purchase. Love it. Cute girl too btw.

Man, I miss it there, and rode a scooter in Mae Hong Son about 20 years ago. Hazy memories now, but I remember riding up and down the main airports runway in the afternoon after it closed while people played soccer on it.

Brilliant mate, you had a right touch there it looked wicked, Pai is where hippies range from 17 years old to 77 years, a strange place, Mae Hong Son for me is my most favourite place in Thailand, so peacfull and scenic.
Loved the video. Pai is a special place, been there a couple of times and to that exact elephant camp. They used to sell a bunch of bananas to feed the elephants for about 20 baht. Lovely, peaceful creatures.

And it's probably not 500 hrs or at least I hope not, cause that would probably be every 5-6 years. Don't know many people that fly 100 hrs a year, privately.
