Stephen and Christian isolated vocals remind me how amazing and talented they are. This is my favorite song on the EP and it's so awesome to see the work that went into it. It's so different from their past stuff, but somehow fits into their overall vibe at the same time. Very cool video.
Anberlin is one of my favorite bands, and seeing the work that you and they put into Animals is incredible. Thank you!
Those guys are absolute gems. Love those dudes! Keep an ear out for some new stuff coming soon. Gonna blow your mind!
Really love the production on this track.
You did such an excellent job adding these qualities.
My dude! Thank you so much. The fellas really know how to bring a song to life. Got some great stuff coming soon!
I have been a fan of Anberlin for well over 10 years now, and this most recent stuff has been some of the most well produced music in their career. Animals is most definitely one of the best, most interesting pieces of the lot. Thanks for helping their vision come to fruition. It sounds awesome.
Man, first off thank you so much! Secondly, those boys make anything sound good. They’re easy to produce. Also the new stuff we’re working on is going to blow your mind!
@@ChadoFax Dude I'm stoked!
Incredible work on this song, thanks for sharing this Chad! Anberlin has been my favorite band since 2006. Super cool to see how they have modernized their production and sound.
Thanks man! I love working with them, they’re truly some of the good ones out there. I have a few more of these videos to come! Stay tuned!
Really cool seeing all the parts that went into making this song/record! Gave me ideas for my own projects!
Thanks! Hope it inspires some awesome music for you!
You rock, thanks! been a fan since 2007 cities. nate is my favorite drummer
this content is pure gold. please don't stop making these walkthroughs. thanks a lot for your time and effort
That means so much to hear that! I have PLENTY more where this one came from!
Asked around reddit curious about what the voices in 09:20 were saying, and it doesn't say it here LMAO. But thanks to the vid I got to hear all other cool stuff in the mix that I simply do not have the ear to pick up on my own. So cool!
Haha that’s always so much fun to hear. That little vocal thing did exactly what I wanted it to do. It made people lean in and try to figure it out. I love it. So glad you dig the song!
I'm a guitar player and found your channel searching about guitar gear/helix presets, but his kind of production content is really inspiring! please, continue doing videos like that!
Thanks so much! That’s the plan! I started out as just a musician, but when I started learning more about production, my guitar playing advanced in such musical and practical ways. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching!
man, to have the chance to see the actual logic project in which a song was mixed for one of my favorite bands (which is rare cause they low key) as well as all the thoughts that were put into it is a privilege. Thank you!!!
just finished. dude there's SO FUCKING MUCH to it. omg. i always thought i put too much shit in my songs, layers and layers of stuff to get the right feel and sometimes i think "ITS JUST TOO MUCH, LUCAS, MAKE IT SIMPLER". But to know you guys do that too makes me feel good about myself hahahaha. now i want to go into the studio and record stuff. cant though, gotta study :( hahahahaha. PS: doesnt it make you feel overwhelmed when you have to put that much work into a WHOLE album? its like my ears and brain will explode.
Dude! You’re too kind and are most welcomed!
Haha yep, it’s a TON of layers. We just get to the vocal/post production sessions and just have a time! So much stuff actually gets deleted. We try some crazy stuff and then when we find a sound that beats it, making that decision to delete is a hard one. Takes some real discipline. Honestly keeping things more simple is always a better move. You’re able to push things up in the mix more, but then you have to treat them to take up more space with depth.
Here to help man!
I really like it and at the same time wish for a more natural sound. It's my favorite song but at the same time so many samples seem to distract from what is an amazing voice and true sounding instruments.
Sometimes I feel like samples should actually be researched and used to find (by ear) an instrument that can closely replicate that sound and therefore actually be played.
Anyways, seems like they try to do that for tours but no reason why they couldn't try to do this from the get go...
