Played a show with these guys back in the early 2000s and they just blew everyone off the stage. They were such nice guys too, usually bands that talented were assholes to other bands, but not them.. hung out and drank (shhh they're good boys Haha) and played music with them until we emptied the cooler. Great dudes, and incredible musicians.
One of the best bands ever to see live!

really good its like the old days when they first started
@@mentaltelepathy24 yet their sound is so different. It took me a while to get used to it, it's such a huge sound now, but masterfully produced. Great, great band.
Saw them in SLC with Yellowcard and was excited for their set too, but something was really wrong with their sound at the SLC show.
I don't know if the sound guy didn't test enough or what, but they sounded like complete garbage in SLC, which was a big shame because I love some of their songs.
To clarify, from what I could tell, they played and sung well, but the sound mixing was just terrible.
Everything was muffled and you couldn't make out any individual sounds (guitar riffs, vocals, the bass line) aside from bass drum and snare.
It was just a lot of loud jumbled noise. Really unfortunate because every other band sounded really good and clear that night.
It even took me a while to recognize songs I knew well like The Feel Good Drag

Dude needs to do some serious cardio and breathing techniques, his live vocal performance is not good
Agreed. I love Anberlin; they're one of my favorite bands, but Stephen Christian is not a very good live performer.
