      Why are there almost no comparisons (especially not good quality) of the Lauten Eden LT 386 to other equally expensive mics, or mics that already have legendary status like the u87 ai, Brauner vm1/vmx/vma, telefunken ela m 251, sony c800G, U67 etc. Also the cheaper classics like tlm 103, tlm 49, and all other brands.
      That means I want to listen to it with all common mics that are used for vocals.
      I need a full vocal test for Lauten Eden.( Speaking, singing, rapping /Male low & high voice + female low & high voice)

    My trick works much better:
    • Track vocals on Sony C800-G... Done!
    Knockoff mics and modelers don't cut it, a Sony C800 won't cut it, even using the wrong tube in a C800-G won't do the trick.; but the correct Ukrainian-made Sony tubes in the mic and power supply through a Neve or Avalon channel strip/preamp.... The raw vocals come out better than a well processed vocal tracked on a lesser mic.

    • @ColtCapperrune
      @ColtCapperrune  Год назад +2

      So my thought is rather than try to tame sibilance after I’ve created the problem, solve the problem earlier in the chain so when I’m boosting top, end on a vocal, it’s a more even balance between the vocal and sibilance in the EQ boost. Hope that makes sense.

Whether or not it’s necessary with the trio 11 really depends on your room and how much low end you want. In a lot of rooms the trio 11 has plenty of bottom, however the sub definitely makes it feel more solid, and the Trios feel more open with the sub taking that low end load off of them. Hope that helps!

    • @ColtCapperrune
      @ColtCapperrune  Год назад +1

      Good eye! Waves tune is significantly faster. And it automatically tweaks the vocal after scanning it in. So a huge percentage of my work tuning background vocals and harmonies is done just by scanning it into waves tune. However, it’s definitely not as transparent so I use Melodime on the lead vocals. Takes way longer, but sounds better. But for harmonies and background vocals, the time savings is worth it, since the lack in transparency isn’t noticeable.

  • @huberttorzewski

    Why 2 band instead of 1 high shelf that goes lower? Is it sounding better with these 2 bands or you just got used to doing it this way and didn't consider one shelf with internal sidechain listening to 10k range only? Personally I like using 2 Fabfilter Pro-DS plugins set to 2 different ranges (4k-8k and 8k-12k) in Allround mode with WideBand mode to avoid changes in the eq.

    • @ColtCapperrune
      @ColtCapperrune  Год назад +1

      Are used to bands because it gives me more control. The hardest part of siblings is down in that 4K range to my ears. So depending on the vocal, sometimes I will want that lower band hitting harder than the high shelf, or vice versa.
