Thanks for the video. I did one on my 2005 Sportage EX. I unscrewed the power steering hose coupling in front of the alternator and unbolted one 10mm bolt holding it's bracket to the subframe so I could move it out of the way. I lost some power steering fluid, but I didn't have to remove the driveshaft and as I have seen on some other videos, the outer tie rod. The alternator came out pretty easily then.

I did the thing. Now I can compete with 20 other horrible kia sportage alternator videos.

I have to say, my favorite part of the video is where the camera angle observes a shower of beautiful rust falling, I almost had to duck!
    Hope you're doing well pal.
    How's the Saki collection?
    OKAY BYE!

Axle out but no trans fluid drip? Good vid as always. I did an alternator on daughters Edge 3.5 last weekend. Not fun. Tomorrow a water pump on my 03 Tahoe. Should be easy. I’m ready for easy. Thanks for your info . Dave in Omaha....oh...p.s. ...last night I ate my cats medicine....don’t ask MEOW

Thanks for the video. It looks like you did ok removing the positive cable and the connector on the back side of the alternator. Do you think if it was just the voltage regulator it would be possible to change that without removing the alternator?
