The King's Academy, a National Blue Ribbon, Christian school in South Florida, recently presented "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" on its main stage in the new Page Family Center for Performing Arts. Starring TKA senior Gracie O'Connor (Belle), senior Casey Gustafson (Beast), junior Chris Pappas (Lumiere), senior Graham Popadic (Cogsworth), senior Kate Higgins (Mrs. Potts), and senior Sam Cornelius (Gaston), this performance showcased TKA’s fine young talent.
TKA’s Conservatory of the Arts, a two-time American High School Theatre Festival award-winning fine arts program, is led by Mr. David Snyder (Artistic Director, Musical Theater, Department Chair), Mrs. Sonia Santiago (Vocal Arts), Mrs. Cathy Higgins (Dance- Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz), Miss Riselle Portuondo (Dance- Ballet and Modern), Miss Sarah Fahey (Theatre Arts), Mr. Brad Majzner (Stagecraft), Mr. David Skinner (Instrumental Director), Mr. Wes Lowe (Assistant Band Director), Mr. Patrick Clifford (Strings), Mrs. Macey Norton (Video/Digital Arts), Mrs. Laura McFaden (Visual Art), Miss Stephanie Revell (Elementary Choir, Woodwinds), and Mrs. Robin Phillips (Piano).

@@civduh1802 I believe the speaking parts of this scene were supposed to be just about word for word transposed from the original film (though with an added musical number). In the film after asking for the clencher, she gives it to him and proceeds to ask "Papa, do think I'm odd?" and the scene goes on. Here it appears the prop didn't make it on stage or was placed in the wrong spot. So when he asked for it they had to ad lip the lines "hmm, I don't know" and the "how was your day?" in order to move the scene along. In other words there was a slight hiccup, and they handled it well without panicking or ruining the flow of the scene. In this case, it is probably a good reflection of the actors if a viewer didn't notice anything was wrong. I *think* this is what Abby &CO is referring to.
