Raw African Black Soap 2-3 cups approx
Distilled Water 32 ounces
Jojoba Oil 2 TBS
Vitamin E Oil 1/2 TSP
Vegetable Glycerin 1 TBS
Rose Absolute essential Oil (0ptional)6 drops
Tea Tree essential Oil 6 drops
Germall Plus Preservative (used at 0.5% concentration)

Thanks so much I appreciate that . This made 32 oz of face wash . I used 5(2oz) bottles and put the rest in a large large .
What cloth was used, and can any preservatives be used,? How long can it last up to? Where is it best to be stored?
I used a cheese cloth to strain . Yes any broad spectrum preservative can be used . It can be stored in a cool dry place in your bathroom and can last up to 6 months .

You are very welcome . Approximately 1.5 cups of black soap . Water about 3-4 cups
Do you think this recipe can be used with tumeric powder in some way?
Yes it can . You can add turmeric to the black soap when dissolving the soap or add to the liquid black soap and mix thoroughly .

Hi! Welcome ! Purchased from Amazon . It is recommended to use preservatives to prevent growth of bacteria , yeast & mold . If you don’t use one please keep refrigerated and discard within 2 weeks

How many soap bar did you use for making foaming?
What do you do to lower the ph for this foam wash? You don't think it's necessary to add citric acid ?
Usually citric acid is used to lower the ph of skincare products. For black soap it is very alkaline. You can use a little bit of citric acid but if you use too much it will destabilize the black soap.

Yay ! Welcome and thanks for subscribing . I used 0.5% of liquid Germall plus for the total weight of 32 ounces of black soap that I made and it was 0.16oz for the preservative . You are welcome . Yes you can use the powder . You will want to add water to it to dissolve it a bit and you may have to strain it depending on how your powder is .

What skin type is this best for in your opinion? Can we make this recipe without using oils?
Black soap is great for most skin types . For sensitive skin use a smaller amount of black soap . Yes you can make this without oils .
Does this bodywash seperate after some time?
The face wash had a slight separation .

Now do we have to use the exact oiled or can we experiment with others and one more question now this has to be made with distilled water yes
You can substitute the oils and use what works best for your skin type. Yes distilled water is recommended when making skin care products.
Do you ever have the tube of the former bottle get stopped up with small soap pieces ?
No I don’t have that problem . Make sure you are straining your black soap mixture well

Hi ! Any fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth
Will it work the same if I use the black s in powder?
Yes . You will have to let the powder sit in the water for some time to dissolve a bit before using .
Where did you get the preservatives from?

@@OceNatural thank you so I was stirring my batch and accidentally turned the switch on to the hand mixer and it whipped it how do I fix this because now it’s foamy and I don’t want to waste product. Do I let it sit and mellow itself out or can I pour them in the foaming bottle and add more water

You can buy on Amazon , Etsy , lotioncrafter, formulator sample shop. So many places sell preservatives . You can also do a google search .

What if we don’t use a preservative??
If you don’t use one your face wash will not last long and bacteria ,fungus and mold can grow In It .

@@topgirl8533 Every preservative has a different amount . Liquid Germall plus is what I used and I used it at a rate of 0.5% of my total recipe weight . In this recipe that was 32 ounces . So you multiply 32x0.5% to get the preservative amount . I would suggest reading up on preservatives and understanding how to use them so that way you are doing it correctly . There are many videos on RUclips and also articles on google search . I also have a video on my channel on preservatives if his want to check that out as well .
Question: Instead of melting my soap, can I just mix argon oil with the ABS when I go to wash my face?
Hi. Using the black soap bar directly on the face is not recommended. You can mix your argan oil & ABS but apply on a wash cloth first before applying on your face . Thanks for watching .
