The look with the boots and the hat was smashing cool👌 In my pre menopause until i was fully menopause (am 59 now but by 49 i was in menopause) my hair falled like leaves in Fall Time. Your Mother Is Proud Of You! Maybe is not a coincidence♥️ Our Mothers do their best but we as daughters forget that they are humans too with flaws and issues...i do understand you very very well.♥️ Incredible Beautiful Poem.
I love your channel Charlie. The feelings you’ve had about your son going off to boarding school resonated strongly with me. The separation and transition to greater independence can bring with it a kind of grief that I believe many mothers experience. The feeling of being sick, brain fog and listlessness may stem from the grief. It is important to be kind to yourself and acknowledge these feelings. ❤
Thank you so much and sorry I am just replying now, yes absolutely it has been a kind of grief! And it’s affected me more than I realised. Thank you for your kindness xxx
I enjoy your vlogs Charlie I find them calming, informative and very relatable, the cuddles with Florence, the makeup recommendations. I always learn something new from you. You look beautiful in all your outfits. Thinking about you and your mum at this difficult time. You are a gentle sweet soul and very much loved.
Lovely vlog Charlie, I think being able to use your experience of hurt when you were young will mean you never let your children leave you without a loving goodbye, Thank you for all the inspiration and chat - I love it!
I love your bits of everything vlogs!!!! Well done for getting on top of your hair loss , we can’t get on top of things without addressing them. Thank you for bringing us such wholesome content xxx
I love your volgs, Charlie! I agree with Samantha." Informative and very relatable" are words I would also use for them. The images of the countryside are just beautiful, too.
Really enjoy your chatty vlogs Charlie. As I have done your wonderful Efficient Home course, I also have a wealth of your wisdom to look back on too xxxx
Absolutely loved this! I totally relate to you saying goodbye to your son and share a similar experience to you as to why it’s a trigger. Thank you for being so honest and for the mascara recommendation! ❤
I've got Jacqueline's book and would definitely recommend it. Thank you for this vlog.... I love the chatty vlogs but also find the instructional videos really helpful. Hope you have a lovely week
Hi Charlie, it’s been a busy weekend for us so only getting to watch now!! I love both formats of your content. I think a mixture would be my favourite option. Pete & I both felt so much for you when you were being so open. You are so brave and you’ll probably never know how many people will benefit from your honesty. Pip xx❤
Hormone issues can be so awful. Went through an awful awful time in my 50s including horrendous sleep problems. In my 60s now and feel so much better having worked through the issues with a specialist. Had massive hair loss at one stage largely due to insufficient protein. I think your amazing and I really really enjoy your videos. ❤
Once again Charlie a fabulous vlog thank you so much for your honesty. You are so down to earth I look forward to Fridays to hear what you have all been up to Such a lovely family animals included Marie 😊💕
Charlie … god bless you! I’ve been listening to you for a few months now and eagerly await your next vlog. I’ve been going through a hard time recently and your bright nature helps me along some lonely times!! Not commented before but Congrats on the podcast and the videos … I know many will feel similar. Stay blessed! X
Thank you so much for your lovely message 🥰 life can be so tough and challenging I am sorry you are experiencing this, it will pass hold on to that xxxx
Thank you Charlie for another wonderful vlog, it’s like a window on your world…I like the mix of advice, demo and informal chat; in sharing your current challenges, you normalise them and this probably helps others more than you know. I’m coming out the other side of menopause but always remind others that, back in the day, ladies of our age had ‘attacks of the vapours’ and took to their beds every afternoon - nowadays we seem to expect to be busy, be gorgeous, suck it up and carry on (so how lovely, after a long and tiring day, that you came home to your dinner - bravo Sigh!)
Really enjoyed the vlog as always Charlie. Thought the lipstick was lovely on you! Peri menopause is tough but thankfully we’re going through it at a time where there’s much more openness and understanding of the symptoms. I think you’re hair always looks lovely but I also understand what it’s like to feel self conscious about it. Hopefully your Gynae had some helpful advice. Fiona x
Oh Charlie, thank you for being so honest. Interesting stuff that flat feeling is so awful. So many times I’ve wondered if I suffer from SAD. Lots of hugs and fingers crossed for the hair loss xx

Love this format - feel like you’re talking directly to me:) I had very similar issues with peri-menopause - I find biotin supplement helps with my hair, and magnesium supplement helps immensely with brain fog. Blessings for your good health!
Another fab vlog Charlie - once again thoroughly enjoyable to watch, it’s like catching up with a girlfriend ☺️ I too, like others have said, enjoy the mixed vlogs (also enjoy the how to version as often learn so much!) and also applauded your honesty and openness….it certainly helps me with things and I’m pretty certain many others too, so thank you 😊 Wishing you a wonderful weekend xx Ps, I to wear and adore Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Gloss in New Romantic and bought one only last week from John Lewis (delivered to our local Waitrose for me to collect) so that may be worth investigating?! Loved the lipstick on you too! 💄
I love this format it so feels as though you are jus5 catching up with me and your subscribers for a natter over coffee. I thought the lipstick looked very natural, like you I tend to go,for light coloured and makeup I agree has to be 5 minutes. Do you know if the mascara is ok with sensitive skin as I steer away from them apart from Clinique when I do wear mascara would be good to know. I’m sorry to hear about your hair and clearly other hormonal issues, I am glad you have been able to access specialist support. I love your honesty and so brave to share some of the personal things in your life. Looking forward to next week. Thank you so much
Helen Bankes from the Old Mill had a terrible time with the 'pause. By the time she was 50 she was tucking her chest into her waitband. At her lowest point she honestly looked like someone had poured custard into a pink bin bag and put a bad wig on it. Mrs Grundon and I decided to take her in hand when she began to fully balloon. We put her on worming pills and apple cider vinegar and within three months she was fully deflated and other than a lot of facial hair you'd have sworn she almost looked normal. To be honest I think the main thing is to try to avoid becoming fat _and_ hairy, when it's just one you can hide a lot with a great big dress or quick once over with a Gilette, but both at once and you could look like Captain Pugwash.
Regarding the type of videos you make, I do like the mixture about what you do during the week as well as the ‘how to’ videos. Your lifestyle is interesting and different to mine (I’m Australian), which I enjoy. Also, you emphasise buying wisely and using what you have, rather the latest stuff which leads to unsustainable excess. Those type of videos are a dime a dozen and don’t sit well with me personally. The pink lipstick is lovely btw, although you may just be a lipstick on some occasions person. I’m a lipstick person, don’t step outside of the house without it, even to the gym. We are who we are. You do a fabulous job.
Hi Charlie! Have you been to an Endocrinologist? About a year ago my hair was falling out by the handful, I had no energy, I was losing weight and was extremely nervous all the time. It turned out I have hyperthyroidism. I hope you find answers soon! ❤️ Molly

I've just been told that hair loss often happens a few months after Covid. x
Yes!! I have found that out that’s what my Gynaecologist said! So interesting I had no idea! Xx
