I'm so afraid of this years results. I normally like emotional ballads and strong vocal performers and songs which parts of the fandom label 'boring', so I'm close to the jury opinion, while the televote often prefers uptempo/catchy songs. I actually like the 50/50 system with both of them balancing it out a bit. I like a lot of songs in this list: Croatia 2009, Ireland 2010, Israel 2010, Serbia 2011, Lithuania 2011, Estonia 2013, Moldova 2013, Azerbaijan 2014, Czechia 2016, Denmark 2019, Albania 2021, Belgium 2021, Switzerland 2022 and Azerbaijan 2022 But sometimes, the jury also seems to like quite bland songs seeing that list, I thought I'd agree with more songs.
Most of them are crap or mediocre, but the juries apperently saved some excellent songs. Mall by Bushpepa from Albania is one of my all time favorite Eurovision songs 😮
The juries can be really dumb and the televoters can be really dumb, but the way they balance eachother out is what makes the results in the end usually logical
I also wish juries would stay in semis for at least this year. That's because I want Latvia to qualify so badly, and juries would totally appreciate this entry if they were still in. Latvia could easily jump in juries top-5 and finish on about 12th place in televoting, and it would most likely be enough. Still hope televoters won't sleep on this masterpiece and let Sudden Lights perform in the Grand Final.

@@tigercarmaban2477 Except in 2022 it doesn’t work because Albania would replace Switzerland, they had a terrible performance and certainly didn’t deserve 10th in the televote (Croatia or Latvia did).

5:26 Belarus wasn't even supposed to qualify that year. The Czech jury somehow gave their semi points upside down, which gave Belarus the points to qualify instead of Poland. That said, Zena is my winner of 2019 so I'm not too mad.
The juries have made some dumb decisions over the years, but so have the televote. It’s just that we as the public find it way easier to blame the juries and point out all the mistakes they make than we do to acknowledge our own. As this video shows, all these entries, some of them very beloved, wouldn’t have qualified without the juries. If the juries weren’t in Eurovision at all, some of the most popular winners such as Ukraine 2016 and Netherlands 2019 wouldn’t have won. UK 2017 would’ve come almost at the bottom of the leaderboard, same with Sweden 2018. Malta 2021 would’ve flopped, same with Greece and Portugal 2022. In my opinion, the benefit the juries bring by rewarding deserving, artistic entries far outweighs the mistakes they make. And you have to remember that the juries aren’t one big organisation, conspiring together to overrate Sweden each year. They just vote for the song they think is best, and they don’t know how each other are going to vote. Without the juries, Eurovision wouldn’t be as compelling as it is.
I agree, I love Norway 2019 (although I think Arcade was a more deserving winner). That is one of the biggest crimes the juries have ever done, but like I say, I still think overall they’re a good thing.
Whilst I mostly agree with this, please don’t use Sweden 2018 (or any Swedish song from 2016-2021) as an example of an undeservingly robbed song without the juries.
Oh my goodness, so many amazing songs would've gotten robbed. Many of the songs on this list were among my favourites for their respective years. Especially O Mie and Mall would've been an absolutely insane NQs.
But only due to the greek diapora both times. I think what i like the least about having no juries is how much it damages the chances of countries with low diapora in their semi and how much it boosts the chances of countries who have alot.
But how well would Όνειρο Μου have placed in the final? I love both Greece and Albania 2018, voted for both, but Greece would have had something around 20th result while Albania got a 11th result.
@@H-Marina-Sas-Pige-Tapa I have Greece in my 6th and Albania in my 7th place. But truth is Greece was 10th with televote and 16th with jury while Albania was 11th with televote but 3rd with jury. This new system is far more bad cus any country which is affluent could buy a line from foreign country in order to vote its own country. It is easier to vote themselves.
Jury results are random.. just replace those inside a jury with different persons (in every country) and you would get a compeletely different result..
Azerbaijan almost every year. But at all jury voting is always not fair. They vote very often for neighbour countries, friendly countries or they have business in it. And juries all over the Europe always like Sweden songs and pick them high.

yes, probably to avoid the problem last year that allowed azerbaijan to qualify with 0 televote lol. 6 countries were very naughty
yes, in the semi-finals
I understand why 95% dont get enough public Points
besides,, it is trhe public who votes.. and it depends as well on who is in the jury..
Azerbaijan: Thank God, thank juries 😂
Fade to black is boring, sorry 😅
@@22nd_Place_Vasil had the best vocals of the year.

I'm glad Azerbaijan 2022 got through ... I voted for it on the night
Impopular opinion: if juries were really professionals, televote weren't necessary.
You just show a bunch of one of the best songs
holy FUCK fade to black got ZERO POINTS from the televote thats so fucking wild. i hate the song but also Damn how the hell did they still qualify with that
the serbian teeth brushing song was hilarious
which one is it?😂
This new system is far more bad cus any country which is affluent could buy a line from foreign country in order to vote its own country. It is easier to vote themselves.
Overall the new system is the death for ballads or introvert songs.
Ireland deserved to qualify
WE NEED JURYS BACK LIKE
BELGIUM 2021
ESTONIA 2011
DENMARK 2019
BELARUS 2019
ALL OF THEM DESERVED TO QUALIFIED
I’m not sure about the new system after watching this 😅
Finland 2009 is my winner😭
Sorry but your weird
Because of this new system the Netherlands probably wont qualify in the first semi-final this year🇳🇱🇳🇱
Jury results are random.. just replace those inside a jury with different persons (in every country) and you would get a compeletely different result..
Azerbaijan almost every year. But at all jury voting is always not fair. They vote very often for neighbour countries, friendly countries or they have business in it. And juries all over the Europe always like Sweden songs and pick them high.
