I love how they're not all together, they're just doing their own thing around a beat to warm up. They stop and stretch when they need to, yet they're still in sync. I love this.
I do to. I play everything from flam jam( playing the center snare solo) to the oppener snare solo. Only exercise I don't play is contrasting differences because I haven't had the time to learn it properly
There's only one way in which I consider myself wiser than their percussion staff.. I wouldn't have put the dude with the smallest hands ever (far left snare) next to the dude with the biggest hands ever
Oblivious to humor. Also, I never claimed to know anything except for that that man has really small hands, and the man next to him has really large hands.
Even as a percussionist I’m so confused how they made that crushed snare sound with one hand and not seeming to even stroke the drum to make the sound. It the exercise that goes on around the 11:00
Far left snare: hand's birth certificate Official: This says "im 10" written in crayon Far left snare: I'm an early bloomer Official: You smell like beer Far left snare: you look like beer
Walter Muller i'm going to assume you already know the origins of traditional grip so i'll just say it's basically the norm for drum corps to play in this style and most of them don't have any reason to since they usually play jon non tilted snares.
You're quite right Matti Dawson, the traditional grip makes no sense any more since these snare drums are not tilted. In my opinion it's more awkward to use the traditional grip when the drum is level. It's just because ''We've always done it like this period...! Scottish pipe band drummers use the traditional grip too even though their drums are also not tilted. We're creatures of habit.

Eating popcorn while watching this, you guys popped more than my popcorn.
It must very liberating to even get those few seconds to express as an individual. Love the kit. Gives everything soul and life.
I can’t be the only who warms up to most of this ever day
I do to. I play everything from flam jam( playing the center snare solo) to the oppener snare solo. Only exercise I don't play is contrasting differences because I haven't had the time to learn it properly

Question: Why do all these drummers use the traditional grip?
Walter Muller that's how drum corp snare drummers play
Walter Muller i'm going to assume you already know the origins of traditional grip so i'll just say it's basically the norm for drum corps to play in this style and most of them don't have any reason to since they usually play jon non tilted snares.

one of the most over rated lines...
Zachary Brenna why are they overrated they didn't win percussion this year
Well in the past few years they seem to be top three to judges so your opinion is irrelevant
