Great video, have you ever tried “ Tex-pose” your bait when using a Texas rig, maybe a bigger hook and an EWG hook and put a bobber stop ahead of the weights , try a bullet weight saves on snags when weight is under control when I’m walking with my rods with rod but in front and rod tips pointing back, saves breaking the rod tip just saying.
Hey just a couple of things. I want to shore fish. What do I need and what should I buy. I’m currently in parksville. Second your title is a little wrong
You can catch salmon and halibut from that spot in the summer time . Ocean bed drops off to 150 foot in some parts . I've personally limited out on salmon many years from that spot 👍
A little late to the party but if the original comment was in regards to ten mile point then it’s just the other side of oak bay and uplands. Most southern point in Saanich.

Looking good my friend great job
just the roe of the cabazon is toxic, they arent poisonous themselves

Yo that’s awesome that u caught that big ling congrats 👍
I caught 19 incher were you caught the last one it seems to be really good during the late October I’m pretty sure that’s when they breed
They breed in January and February.... Don't get caught fishing for them during that time. Big time No No
Nice, I was fishing there last season, super steep. Looks like low tide
can catch salmon there if you have a super far cast, I see guys there casting crazy far, I cant cast that far. Bigger lead jig
Where is the place ? I am wondering where is it, I really wanna go
It’s ten mile point
Those are two cool looking fish there.
Great video and tight lines
you must get so many snags in that kelp, I always seem to
even with the texas rig
nice ling from the shore bud
Ya buddy
Nice visual fish on
Big boy!!!!
I think the eggs of the cabezon are the only poisonous parts, I think....
Your supposed to only eat from the arsehole back, just the tail section. That's what I've been told and I've never gotten sick from it
Did you keep the big ling
Good catch. But your reel is too noisy. Better have that checked or replace. Also your rod's ring need to be replaced.
Wear r you again..??
Where is the last place?
