  • Going shrimping near Victoria BC at night! decided to go out after school. unfortunately we are getting less and less light after school to go fishing! fortunately we can still go shrimping. Shrimping is best when its dark. if you guys want a video on how to make the best shrimp trap leave a comment down below. if you have any other questions feel free to ask down below!

Yeah unfortunately they don’t come out until it’s completely dark. Which is like 11:00 in summer and 7:00 in winter so it’s a little easier in winter.

You can catch them during the day, they are in 225-400' of water.

Does it need to be late night to catch the shrimp? I tried catching shrimp a few days ago near ten mile point at around 9:30pm but had no luck.

Usually the shrimp start coming out at around Sunset. Sometimes I’m summer you have to go really late because it takes so long for the sun to go down and the shrimp don’t come out until it’s dark

I rather not say the exact location but it's a little cove near ten mile point. If you want another spot cattle point works well
