You might be right on the ac vent trim piece, however I did search quite a bit and couldn’t find a 3D printed piece anywhere. The window trim piece is extremely difficult due to it’s complex shape and sheer size. Getting an exact fit to both the window and the door panel will take a lot of tinkering both in CAD and 3D printing, however I’m pretty motivated as that’s pretty much the last broken trim piece in my car. It would be really cool to offer a 3D printed solution to this problem, as the parts are long since discontinued and literally every SC has this issue. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
@@theautochap I always wanted to get into 3D printing, but I think that'll be the last thing on my mind after I do all the mechanics I want to do with my SC300.
Watched almost all the gs300 videos for my family's car and honestly kinda jealous, if you're committed to these sc videos i might get one or another gs
Thanks for watching! I definitely have a lot planned for this SC such as rebuilding the suspension, engine resealing and so on - so there will definitely be tons of videos to come.
Very informative sir. Thank you! I especially got very much needed information on the motor mounts since a car have have thats not an SC is doing that and now i have an idea on how to fix it.
I enjoyed the video "Chap". I believe the lower control arms on Supras are metal compared to the Lexus; which are aluminium. Designed for different steering feel.
You are correct! The Supra arms are reported to be made from cast iron, and the Lexus ones from aluminum which is why they are more expensive. The bushings on the Supra arms are also known to be stiffer than the Lexus bushings. Thanks for watching!
@@brianwatt558 unfortunately that is true, which is why I emphasized on finding the cleanest SC you can before buying one. It took me well over 4 years but boy, am I glad I waited! Thanks for watching! 😃
I asked a toyota dealer if they sold the gold emblems. Allegedly they are not stock. The dealer would send out the emblems and get them coated per car!
Sc430 is a very chunky luxury cruiser and I believe it was only available as a convertible (hence the heft). Nothing wrong with it, but if you have any notion of wanting a driver's car the sc400 is better. If you have to ask the SC430 is probably the better choice.
Hello, if you have questions about anything I haven’t covered in the video you can send them over to my email address. It’s in the video description. Thanks for watching.
It'll be a life saver if you can 3D print discontinued trim pieces. I do believe the center air vent piece has been 3D printed already.

Thanks for watching! Yes that way of diagnosing motor mounts works for most cars.

Nice car but some parts are very expensive or hard to find some parts they don’t sell at the dealer Because they out of stock / discontinued

That's very interesting, I did not know that they need to be custom plated! Thanks for sharing! 😀
Finally can someone answer my question which is a better sc400 or sc430 ?

@@eikonise I agree ..so bottom line it depends on one’s choice of what to choose
