Try not to keep it in dirty places. Keep it in your bag most of the time and take out the necessary items u use regularly. For the inside don't put open pens inside and for pencils keep it in one compartment so it's only that place which gets dirty or use a mechanical pencil.
Hey, as an owner of a similar pencil case, i would recommend putting like caps on your pencils or something, because it gets SO DIRTY I'm cleaning mine right now because it looks so disgusting. If you do this then you won't have a disgusting grey pencil case. Just think about it. (oh and i subscribed :)

if you dont have an mechanical pencil you can also use a pen cap on your pencil so that the place you put ur pencil in wont get dirty
