      Thanks for watching and the feedback! That is a great idea! We don't have the whole range of older controllers in the office with us, but take a few shots of them when we come across them in the field is a good idea!

    You made an excellent tutorial. the best I've seen so far. I need one video that shows 2 sets of intervals. For example, I have hooked up A1 to A6, 6 zones. I only want A3 & A6 watering once a week. The others every 3 days. THank you in advance.

    So the station number can also be the program number depending on which menu you're in. That's good to know.

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  Год назад

      Not the program number (which is a, b, c) The number showing will either represent the station/zone number or the start time number (1st, 2nd, 3rd) depending if you are in the run time or start time menus

    Is there a way to set up my irrigation system to water the flower beds more often than the grass? Such as adding more watering days. The beds are on soaker hoses.

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  21 день назад

      You certainly can! We added a new video on advanced controller programming for Hunter controllers that shows exactly how to do that, with specific examples! Check out that video on our youtube channel and let us know what you think!

    Great video thank you One question I have is if you set a run for M_W_F_S and then go to the next screen and set it run on EVEN days how does the controller which schedule to follow. Is the answer that you program it not to run on any day .

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  Год назад

      Thanks! If you leave the water days menu on even, then it will only water on even days, such as the second and fourth Etc of the month. The MWFS is no longer active because it isn't on the screen. If you would like to do even day watering with restrictions on watering days, that would be going into the interval watering menu which we didn't cover because it's more advanced. We might look at covering that in a future video though if you're interested. If you want to check whether you're controller will be on even day watering, or the MWFS schedule, just turn the central control dial to the watering days menu, and if it the even/odd flashes, then that is what it will run. Does that help?

    I have 6 zones. But for some reason under start times zones 5 and 6 aren’t accessible. They are visible under run times.
    That’s kinda important as 5 and 6 are actual grass and 1-3 are for my flower beds.
    Any idea how to add zone 5 and 6 to start times?
    I don’t have anything under B and C as I keep them off.
    Thanks!

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  4 дня назад

      Actually 1 start time runs all zones once, one after the other for the amount of time put in as a run time. Start times are not zone start times but program start times. Hope that helps.

    Very good information! I have a problem. The clock and date on my Hunter programmer resets every time there is a power outage. It is normal? Thank you

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  7 месяцев назад

      They usally have a back up battery that keeps the time during power outages but if that dies that issue will occur. Some models you can change the back up battery (3v button cell in the x-core, or a 9v in the pro-C), although some of the newer controllers like the X2, unfortunately, have it permently attached to the circuit board and when it's dead it is very hard to change. A external power bank could be a solution if the controller is indoor.

    Hello. I have the X CORE A two-zone control unit. My system has 4 sprinklers with 1 solenoid valve, therefore 1 zone. How can I set two start times with two different irrigation times on the same day? example: h 05.00 13 minutes h 13.45 5 minutes?? thanks

    Question- I went through all the steps and now have my system programmed and set to run. I have a Hunter X Core system controller.
    The screen displays a bunch of horizontal dashes on the left of the screen and also the word "off." I saw on the video that the display showed the date after being programmed and set to run. Today is not a watering day. Will my system turn on the next watering day?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  8 месяцев назад

      The horizonatl dashes are the seasonal adjust, most likely , and 10 of them would be normal for full watering of your selected run time as for the "Off" that indicates the controller is OFF . It is hard to diagnose the issue without being there in person but the controller itself may have issues. Yes the time of day would be normal. How old is your controller?

    what about demonstrating the manual option?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching! Our focus on this video was programming, whereas the manual option you mention is for a one-time operation of the sprinklers outside of the automatic program we just set, but if that's something you'd like demonstrates we'll try to make a video on that in the near future! Thanks for the idea and input!

    I have eight zones but I can only turn off A2-A4 start times. It doesn't advance to zones A-5 through A8. IK s this correct?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  Год назад

      Well actually that is correct because zones and start times are different. Don't confuse zones with start times. One start time runs all zones once , one after the other ( sequentially) . So four start times would run all eight zones (if they have run times programed in) 4 times per day for new seeded lawn for example. We rarly use more than one start time. This is the norm for most controllers so it is best to think of a start time as "Program Start Time" rather than " Zone Start time".

    My controller does not show raindrops and dashes in the “days to water setting” rather it show raindrops and circled raindrops. Which is which? For now I’m assuming the uncircled raindrops are ON. Please clarify, as I don’t want to leave for the Arizona summer and have no irrigation on in my yard in 115 degree weather.

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, you are correct, that the circled raindrops are off and the regular raindrops are on. Hopefully that helps and happy watering!

    When I go to set time and date, the screen flashes 0 00 for the year. I cannot set the year using + - buttons. I have been able to set month/date and time. Is there a problem with the controller or something I need to do?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  8 месяцев назад

      Interesting! Can you share with us the model of your controller, about how old it is, and any other important details you can think of. Does the controller were properly aside from the year flashing when in the date setup menu, or does the display flash in other cases or does the program not run automatically as intended? I look forward to hearing from you!

    How can I verify that I did not accidentally turn on the watering intervals for certain days? I want to make sure I did not enable it for odd days or even days by accident.

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  Год назад +1

      Good question! The water day type (day-of-the-week, even/odd, or interval) that the controller will run on is **sub-menu type that pops when you the dial from "RUN" to the "watering days" menu**.
      You can see that the interval watering menu (9:51 in video) is a little different in that it displays two numbers (typically a 1 and 0) along with the days of the week, and the even/odd menu (9:21 in the video) doesn't show the days of the week at all. So if you just want the controller running on the regular days-of-the-week option (not even/odd or interval), then just make sure when you turn the dial to the watering days menu that it just shows the days of the week at the bottom without any numbers.
      That's a good question, and something we maybe should have demonstrated visually. Thanks for the question!

    My program was running ok until I changed the run time from 5 min to 20 minutes per zone. Today it ran all 3 zones but then it started in zone 1 again and I just turned it off. Can you help me?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  21 день назад

      Thanks for watching. Interesting. Most of the time if a system is running multiple times one after another it is because there are multiple program start times listed (even if they all say the same time, the system will run them consecutively), or a 2nd program (like program B or C) was set to run as well. Its hard to tell without looking at the controller, but if you are comfortable programming your controller from scratch according to this video, you can just do a factory reset and start from scratch and hopefully it should work properly after that.

    How do I turn off the controller for the season?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  Год назад

      Thanks for reaching out. We have a video on preparing your whole sprinkler system for the end of the season that you can check out here: ruclips.net/video/zvb9HFM83Nw/видео.htmlsi=P542hKfjINj_keTn&t=16 but specifically for shutting off the controller, you just turn the dial to the "OFF" position (to the left of "Run") and you're good to go!
