HELL YES-- that's a stupid question almost.. ha. - I do- and have- and WILL-- can carry ANYWHERE without question. HIPPA (health information personal protection act) FORBIDS anyone from even ASKING why you carry one...!! No proof of need or any stupid permits required-- anywhere!!! 1- reach advantage 2- power advantage 3- easily handle multiple attackers 4- no ammo to buy 5- no accidentally killing someone 40 ft. BEHIND your attacker (as possible with a gun). 6- ALWAYS in my hand and ready - (no time wasted to "unconceal" as with gun or other weapon) 7- I can even exercise with it and many many more advantages..
If u use disability as an excuse to go through the airport with a cane IF you don't have a disability, it's quite shameful and makes it harder on those being screened through the airport.

Hi now I have made my own cane, it comes from a suppressed spruce that already has the shape, just grind and put to it then it should be oiled in, it is maybe a little long, it reaches me up to the armpit but is good to hang on.

That's where I keep my cane when I'm driving. I have a polymer cane that I keep there permanently for when I forget to bring my wooden canes. I wish I could find some polymer rod and make my own.
That would be fun to make your own polymer cane!

Strange having to carry a permit to carry a cane . Carry a cane ( Walking Stick) here in uk . With no problems what so ever.
Does this right apply only to the crooked cane? I have a Derby cane and a Scottish Blackthorn walking stick. What are my rights with these other two.

I carry but it's not a cain.
Never, ever, say never, but thus far, I've yet to have a member of the constabulary, question my carry of any cane. Got a sidewise glance from a passing NYPD officer when out with my Purple Heart Armory extra heavy straight cane, but no perceptible notice with my crook top.
I use my, same length sticks, with adjustments, the same, from nightsticks, to kali sticks, my straight cane or crook top, different weights and form factors, and save for the nightstick (24"), they work the same. If you except the measurement of a hanbo about up to your hip, they give or take, fit that bill too.
I have to give profs to www.woodenswords.com, Purple Heart Armory, everything I've gotten from them has been exemplary. I have another Bo, and Jo coming, first Bo, is becoming my hiking stick, would that it could be my everywhere stick, or maybe I'll split the difference between Bo and Jo, and call that my hiking stick. 1 and 1/8" laminated hickory x however long. And with the wood weapons situation in Japan, (www.seidoshop.com), Purple heart might reestablish their Bokken/wakazachi/tanto products. Seems like a man can't never have too many sticks ;).

ETA: might be just me, but as your own first responder ("0" responder?), I think, and God forbid, but AHA CPR, and Stop the Bleed skills and tools, has to be part of it. The amount of good that comes out of educated, equipped, and courageous, John or Jane Q's, responding to emergency situations that they witness, or come across, can not be overestimated.
