This was hilarious. Would be great to see an analysis of hbox vs lucky at this same tourney since it went game 5. Also, you make the most watchable analysis videos.
Used to quit out vs. luigi and doc because I had no idea how to play it and felt like i just got hit by literally everything. Ran into a doc/luigi on slippi and beat him handily by playing neutral with my back to him. This vid unironically helped a lot. Thanks man, crazy how much a gameplan can change things.
Whats funny is that I feel like the main thing that won him these sets was the fact that he played so non "optimally". They weren't used to the weird ass options he was going for and it seriously messed with Eddie, lucky, and Null. That being said Hbox is an all around impressive player who really understands the mechanics and flow of this game. Say what you want but hes talented
The drill at 14:19 was some big brain shit, he used the fact that Luigi was gonna hold right to prep shield drop to pull him off the plat and then combo off the landing lag
I was in fucking stitches watching this at like, several points. Hbox's standing grabs on wavedash in into get punished were so funny. The 70% bairs into double misfire was so good my phone died lmao.
Normal player: Runs to the edge and turns around
Big Brained Hbox: Rolls 4 times to the edge
10 back airs in a row then dying to back to back misfires is prime melee
HFox has become far too powerful
Sorry cody but im afraid his fox has surpassed yours in pure skill. Prepare to be 4 stocked and clutched on by our lord and savior HGOD.
there's always 2020 =\

1:14 hbox frequently edge cancels aerials with all of his secondaries
Your voice turns into Armada at 17:09-17:12

Cody's commentary makes this set 1000% better.

HFox is my favorite thing to watch bout melee now
hbox fox show's how good fox is. just putting ppl in abox w good spacing and aggressive bairs
as ive gotten better at fighting games the standing grab hbox gets in game 2 blows my mind more and more. its like he was controlling both chars
Hbox just has such great fundamentals.
I'll be 200 for those game 2 lasers.
