You've made it look so simple and beautiful. You've given me hope as to how to style my own hair. I get haircuts every 4 weeks and coloring. I am 68 and have always liked to be in style, yet not try to look 20. Spiked hair was my favorite but now love this style you've done here and always tried to get it like yours. It looks so good on you!! I will refer back to this tutorial often. Going to get all the products and work on my hair!! Bless you! Another issue is my stylist cannot get my hair the light blonde/platinum like you have. Reading some of your reply comments helped so I can share with her to use a stronger bleach treatment. It always comes out orangish in spots. I want it like yours because I do have a lot of gray now and this would help to transition to possible all gray one day soon. I got a pixie a lot like yours three weeks ago and I'm loving it! Watching your video I am realizing that the hair at my low side part needs to be cut shorter in order to obtain that side swept look. I also have a glat skull on the back of my head and this type of hair cut actually conceals that rather than drawing attention to it 😊

So as you can see in pic my hair is quite long, am getting a pixie cut at age 55,i always had pixie cuts like pink, but i love yours more loll, also my hair is jet back, so going to have it stripped around a month after and get tips dyed in blondes, hairdresser said might need a few times before she gets all my dye out to get back yo brown, so really have to hide away for a few months as have a major mallen streak at the front of my hair. Gladly i found you and loved your pixie hair and showing how many different styles you can get from one style. (does that make sense lol!!!) Showed my hairdresser your tutorials and she said oh i can do that, now i see where i was going wrong in the cut. You have the hair l want !!! I have had long hair most of my 75 years. After having 3 major surgeries... and being in hospital almost 5mos. I am left with a mass of tangles & knots to my scalp. I had to get cut so short. I found your spike & LOVED IT. I left looking awful. Nothing like yours!!! l don't have any idea how or who can fix it. Want to show you what they did but I can't figure out how to get the picture on this phone !!!! She said bcs of medication I have been using, so much of my hair has come out to go shorter on top or spike it, will only show bald spots. So now my hair is totally flat on top & sticks out on sides !! You need to see this. Must have your advice. How do I send you a picture of this mess? I am so afraid I won't be able to get you back on my phone. 😰👵🥵😬 HELP!!!
Ok that is a perfect cut. I have similar, a ‘textured pixie with a sideswept bang’ and always looking for tips. I just trimmed it myself today, did a decent job, and I use Layrite clay as well as Aussie Instant Freeze. Also use Garnier Mega Full right after the shower. Haven’t tried the iron, I seem to not need anything else but I could try it, often I don’t need to blow dry either, just air dry while doing my makeup! Thanks for the video!

This turned out very nice. I have leukemia and have went through chemo a few times. Had my SCT and my hair came back black with a really nice shiny gray to it. I've been letting it grow out but, basically have about the same hairstyle as you. Each haircut over the past year, I've had them cut it to train my bangs to go long to one side. They reach my non existing brows now. lol I love the color/highlights in your hair and this is basically the style I'm going for. I just need to get in now to cut/style and color/highlight. Favorite way to do your cut!! Gosh I wish my hair stylist would be able to color the back of my hair short like yours, she says she will get more of a polka dot look so does not do it,, but when colored I do get much more body in my hair,!! VERY CUTE hair today! Blessings

I so need you and your hairdresser. My hairdresser has completely lost the shape of my original cut and I don't know how to tell her how to get it back. So frustrating.
That can be so frustrating! I’d recommend, bringing in a picture next time to show your stylist....either of yourself when it was the right shape or the picture you originally showed her. Tell her what you feel is different about your current cut than what is pictured....hopefully that will help. My stylist always says a picture speaks volumes!😘

I really like this look so much more on you, I wear my hair now exactly as you have it in this video as well. You look much younger with a smoother yet pieced out look. I hope you can strike a compromise between the two. We all get into habits. no doubt about it, but sometimes change is a good thing. Your hairdresser is a gem....we need more like her. Hi, I think spikes can be a dated look, but not if you modernize. Like the singer Pink, or Miley Cyrus, they have modern spikey styles. The trick is you only spike part of it, and do a softer/flat look elsewhere. My mantra is ‘up in back, forward in front’ so it gives this cool look that stays modern. Anyway, that’s my two cents!

I really love the way, your hair is highlighted. I hope, I can get a similar result, once my hair is a little bit longer again. I‘ve been puzzling for a while, about what to do with it. I cut it super short, to get rid of the dyed black, which was starting to look a little harsh on me, now that I get older...but I can’t leave it natural, because of all the white hairs, that have crept in, over the last couple years. This might just be the perfect solution 🙂

Omg I download a pic of a haircut I saw on Pinterest of how I want my hair cut, it's yours, this exact same thing, wow. This just popped up on my recommended vids and I decided to watch it.
You could be a hairdresser!!! You're so awesome with your hair. I like it but my favorite is the spicks. That's how I wear mine. Now could you do makeup for us???
When I wear my hair like this, I try to keep the amount of each product applied to a minimum so it doesn’t feel heavy. As for styling time, I really didn’t cut too much out of the video....just sped up the blow drying and cut out a few seconds here and there when I was trying to decide what way to part my hair, etc😜 I’d say it took about 12 minutes total from wet to styled.
I think once you get the hang of using the Enjoy Dry Wax, you will love it!! There is truly nothing else like it😊 If you have any difficulty getting it out of the jar, watch my video I did about it for some helpful tips😘
I think the way u style your hair anyways it looks great ...but I do like the spike the best...my hair is like yours now and I get a lot of compliments of how nice they like it...makes me feel good .

This is the first video of yours I have seen. I really enjoyed the editing. Showing us the drying process and giving additional context to what you are doing. Hopefully I will get to use some of your styling tips at the shop soon.
Additional tip. If you scoop out the wax using the top of your fingernail, you will have less product trapped underneath, meaning you use less of it at a time. Thus saving money in the long run.

This turned out very nice. I have leukemia and have went through chemo a few times. Had my SCT and my hair came back black with a really nice shiny gray to it. I've been letting it grow out but, basically have about the same hairstyle as you. Each haircut over the past year, I've had them cut it to train my bangs to go long to one side. They reach my non existing brows now. lol I love the color/highlights in your hair and this is basically the style I'm going for. I just need to get in now to cut/style and color/highlight. Thanks for your video. I enjoyed watching it.

Favorite way to do your cut!! Gosh I wish my hair stylist would be able to color the back of my hair short like yours, she says she will get more of a polka dot look so does not do it,, but when colored I do get much more body in my hair,!! VERY CUTE hair today! Blessings

I so need you and your hairdresser. My hairdresser has completely lost the shape of my original cut and I don't know how to tell her how to get it back. So frustrating.
That can be so frustrating! I’d recommend, bringing in a picture next time to show your stylist....either of yourself when it was the right shape or the picture you originally showed her. Tell her what you feel is different about your current cut than what is pictured....hopefully that will help. My stylist always says a picture speaks volumes!😘

Sharalee, you look great no matter what you do with your hair, however spikes are a dated look. I really like this look so much more on you, I wear my hair now exactly as you have it in this video as well. You look much younger with a smoother yet pieced out look. I hope you can strike a compromise between the two. We all get into habits. no doubt about it, but sometimes change is a good thing. Your hairdresser is a gem....we need more like her. Hi, I think spikes can be a dated look, but not if you modernize. Like the singer Pink, or Miley Cyrus, they have modern spikey styles. The trick is you only spike part of it, and do a softer/flat look elsewhere. My mantra is ‘up in back, forward in front’ so it gives this cool look that stays modern. Anyway, that’s my two cents!
Miley Cyrus has now got long hair and no spikes. Pink has short has slightly curled and no spikes--I just saw her two nights ago.

I really love the way, your hair is highlighted. I hope, I can get a similar result, once my hair is a little bit longer again. I‘ve been puzzling for a while, about what to do with it. I cut it super short, to get rid of the dyed black, which was starting to look a little harsh on me, now that I get older...but I can’t leave it natural, because of all the white hairs, that have crept in, over the last couple years.
This might just be the perfect solution 🙂

How long did it actually take to do and doesn’t the products make it feel heavy ? Looks fab..
When I wear my hair like this, I try to keep the amount of each product applied to a minimum so it doesn’t feel heavy. As for styling time, I really didn’t cut too much out of the video....just sped up the blow drying and cut out a few seconds here and there when I was trying to decide what way to part my hair, etc😜 I’d say it took about 12 minutes total from wet to styled.
This is my hairstyle normally.. 12 weeks ago was the last visit to the hairdressers.. Hope to go soon

This is the first video of yours I have seen. I really enjoyed the editing. Showing us the drying process and giving additional context to what you are doing. Hopefully I will get to use some of your styling tips at the shop soon.
Additional tip. If you scoop out the wax using the top of your fingernail, you will have less product trapped underneath, meaning you use less of it at a time. Thus saving money in the long run.
