Ziebart is, in my opinion, a thick product that cracks and allows salt water to get underneath it and actually encourage the rust. There are just too many examples of vehicles rotted out while using ziebart.
If there are a scam, why have they been in business so long and each dealership is different so you take it back once a year and if it’s worn off, they will spray it for free other dealerships may charge you like I said every dealership is different
@@Lance-b2l same reason Crown sucks if you test it with salt water spray but there are shops all over. it looks and sounds like it would work so good enough for most people.
I went to Ziebart and asked them to use oil under coating. They sprayed some mixture of asphalt/oil, its not solid and it does wash off. I hope it holds up, definitely is not rubber. I told them to use OIL spray only, but still its like oily asphalt or something, hope it doesnt damage my frame.
@@RustBucketRepair Krown is junk. Watch some videos on it. rusts as fast as uncoated steel. Go with Fluid Film, Rust Check Coat and Protect, or the best which is Waxoyl but that one is pricey.
Luckily I live in Arkansas, our cars still look brand new underside when age 30-40 and you can still see the factory grease pencil marks and read all the stickers on the frame.... My 97 Town Car looks assembly line new underside still.... Yes, that Ziebart looks to not be working.... I just got a 20 year old school bus from the local school, they dump them at age 20, but it looks brand new underside....I couldn't imagine being able to have to afford a new vehicle all the time due to rust... Thank God I live away from the rust belt...
Never go to Ziebart, worst service, expensive, try to sell other stuff so you spend more money like on car/paint wraps and they will peal, follow up after follow up and your vehicle will still rust. Stay far away from any rubberized coatings or tar. A oil base rustproofing is best like KROWN, Corrosion Free, and Rust-Check. You can DIY with Fluid Film. Anything is better than going to Ziebart. If you value your vehicle and your money...please do not go to Ziebart.
Contact Steel City Oil rustproofing in Pennsylvania. The stuff must be removed ASAP or it will destroy the truck in half the time. Have it removed and oil rustproofed and act fast.

Did they keep up with their yearly maintenance?.

I have a 2018 chevy I bought 2 years ago. Frame was in good shape and I used woolwax. Just resprayed it yesterday and it looks good under there.

Next time take it to Krown or somewhere similar.

Scrap all that crap off and use blaster surface shield or fluid film. Hope you can save the truck!!
Some tech wont work on cars with ziebart stright junk!
What is the best thing to do to fix this situation? How can you remove the ziebart?
@@anonymousman8772 I really don't know.

the only downside is you have to deal with rubber and plastic components aging more due to the heat and sun. still worth it tho
It's criminal that a company false advertises and sells a product that destroys It's customers cars.
Totally agree!
